This is concerned with the radiation pattern of elastic waves in a plate generated by an orientation-adjustable patch-type magnetostrictive transducer. In general, not only the Lamb waves but also shear horizontal (SH) waves are produced by the deformation of the circular magnetostrictive patch bonded to a plate. Among the two types of waves, this paper investigates the radiation patterns of SH waves. A number of experimental results are presented. They are also accurately predicted by a theory developed by the present authors. Experimental findings were explained by a theoretical analysis.

RFID 시스템에서는 단일 무선 채널을 공유하는 통신으로 인하여 다수의 태그 응답에 따른 충돌(collision)이 발생한다. QT(Query Tree)와 같은 기존 프로토콜에서 이러한 충돌은 낭비되는 타임 슬롯으로 간주되어 처리된다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 태그들의 응답에 따라 발생하는 충돌의 패턴을 분석하여 성능향상에 이용할 수 있는 ASP (Adjustable splitting by patterns of collisions) 알고리즘을 제안한다.

A flexible and tunable microwave photonic filter based on adjustable optical frequency comb source is demonstrated. We use a combination of a dual parallel Mach Zehnder modulator and an intensity modulator to generate fifteen comb lines with proper weights to implement a desired filter. The optical comb weights, corresponding to the tap coefficients of the filter, are flexibly changed by adjusting the operation parameters of the modulators. The achieved bandwidth and stopband attenuation of the tunable filter are 0.7 GHz and 20 dB, respectively. In addition, we overcome the undesired low frequency suppression appeared in a conventional scheme by applying a dual parallel Mach Zehnder modulator for single sideband suppressed carrier modulation.

Marine diesel generator(D/G) set which is supported with resilient mounts for vibration isolation has been experienced the resonance problem by the main engine or propeller excitations and rigid body modes. Then the avoidance of resonance is difficult because the several excitations and 6 rigid body modes have to be considered simultaneously. In this paper, stiffness adjustable mounts was developed and proposed to control the natural frequencies of installed D/G set. Operating concept of the mount is that the total stiffness of mount can be changed according to the engagement of secondary rubber element in addition to primary one. The performance of mount was verified with the test rig and actual experiment in D/G set.

액체로켓엔진에서 고주파 연소불안정을 제어하기 위하여 인젝터 길이 변화를 줄 수 있는 백홀 스월 인젝터를 분석하였다. 음향흡수자로서 백홀 인젝터의 효과를 분석하기위하여 백홀 인젝터는 1/4 파장 공명기로 해석하였다. 이론적 접근과 음향 실험의 결과로부터 가변적 변위를 갖는 백홀 스월 인젝터가 연소실의 불안정 모드를 감소시킴을 알 수 있었다. 실험적으로 감쇠율을 측정하여 감쇠효과를 측정하였다.

This paper proposes Model Reference Adaptive Fuzzy System(MRAFS) using Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) as a adaptive laws in Model Reference Adaptive System(MRAS) in order to realize the speed-sensorless control of an induction motor. MRAFS estimates the speed of an induction motor with a rotor flux of a reference model and adjustable model in MRAS. Fuzzy logic controller reduces the error of the rotor flux between the reference model and the adjustable model using the error and the change of error as the input of FLC. The computer simulation is executed to verify the propriety and the effectiveness of the proposed system.

This paper describes an adjustable switching angle control method of Switched Reluctance Motor to improve the drive efficiency when variable loads applied. The control method to build-up optimal current shape is intended to improve the efficiency of SRM over the wide range of output power without requiring additional power devices, which gives more economic benefits compared with any other control methods.

The specific purpose of this was to investigate if ir was feasible to design and execute garments that were multi-functional in purpose for women living in an expended world of social and occupational interaction which rerequired flexibility and convenience in their clothing appropriate to their multiple roles in society. The study was to carry out based on the selected situations(business situation-social situation and private situation-social situation) and designs deduced from the situations. The garments could permit flexibility in style through adjustable features which could be attached to, or detached from, the garment depending on the occasion and need of the wearer. As the results of the study, the characteristics of multi-functional garments were found as follows : First, the garments could bring about flexibility in garment formation through adjustable details, overlay and patch, in order to increase the multi-functional usage of the garments. Second, the style of garments could be expressed design images to meet the needs of flexibility and convenience for the various occassions. Third, the multi-functional garments could meet the needs for time and economic values for the women who play multple roles.

By development of power electronics technology, the increasing of inverter's switching frequency lead to the development of speed control technology of induction motor. But the surge voltage including harmonic component in output waveform can cause the motor to generate power losses, torque ripple, acoustic noise and oscillation. This paper is analyzed the characteristics for switching surge of adjustable speed drive and is presented the problem by inverter.

실제 기체 및 dense gas나 액체영역까지 영역의 점성까지 두루 점성 계산에 성공적이었던 brake 점성이론을 사용하여 이성분기체의 점성을 계산하였다. Adjustable parameter가 없었으나 낮은 압력에서는 물론 고압하에서도 계산된 값은 실험치와 잘 일치하였다. Redlich-Kwong 방정식을 사용하여 점성에 관한 대응상태방정식을 구성할 수 있었으며 이로부터 초임계유체의 다양한 공업적 활용가능성을 기대할 수 있게 되었다.
