Non-manifold topological representations can provide a single unified representation for mixed dimensional models or cellular models and thus have a great potential to be applied in many application areas. Various boundary representations for non-manifold topology have been proposed in recent years. These representations are mainly interested in describing the sufficient adjacency relationships and too redundant as a result. A model stored in these representations occupies too much storage space and is hard to be manipulated. In this paper, we proposed a compact hierarchical non-manifold boundary representation that is extended from the half-edge data structure for solid models by introducing the partial topological entities to represent some non-manifold conditions around a vertex, edge or face. This representation allows to reduce the redundancy of the existing schemes while full topological adjacencies are still derived without the loss of efficiency. To verify the statement above, the storage size requirement of the representation is compared with other existing representations and present some main procedures for querying and traversing the representation. We have also implemented a set of the generalized Euler operators that satisfy the Euler-Poincare formula for non-manifold geometric models.

It is important to locate nodes in the research of wireless sensor network. In this paper, we propose a method that estimates the positions of nodes by using adjacent node information and signal strength in wireless sensor network. With this method, we can find positions of nodes easily because we use Information that nodes have. And we can make a map for all the nodes because we can measure a relative position for an node whose position is not known based on anchor nodes whose positions are already known. In addition, we can confirm whether nodes are placed appropriately. We confirmed that we can locate positions of unknown nodes with small error through verifying the proposed method.

Under the sudden change of competitive environment, the economic cooperation as a part of survival strategy is being a big issue among countries. There was much discussion based on the geological adjacency as well as cultural homogeneity regarding the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China, Japan. It has been also known that major trade countries of the world concluded the treaty of region trade, then extended the number of export, and drew a success in foreign direct investment. Resent automobile industry is being ran by the center of America, Europe and Japan. Korea only has a successful experience of restoration of automobile industry in the half of a century after his beginning. It is true that China is trying to do best to raise his automobile industry. Also Japan is a leading automobile country guiding automobile industry all over the world. It can be considered that Korea will play a major role in the three countries' automobile industry based on Japanese demonstrated technology, Chinese resources, market and experience with their economic cooperation. Therefore it is expected that a big result will be achieved throughout such a role play of each country. This paper has a purpose to light up the distinctive quality and the present condition of each country in automobile Industry, and to promote the foundation of three countries' economic cooperation. It is convinced that the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China and Japan in automobile industry, will play a great role in the world automobile market.

On May 31, 2003. Landsat 7 experienced an anomaly causing the Scan Line Corrector(SLC) to stop functioning normally. The SLC-off causes individual scan lines to alternately overlap and then leave large gaps at the edge of the Image. A many scientists with ongoing experience using ETM+ data evaluated the scientific usability and validity of Landsat 7 products containing the SLC anomaly The best reference scene for gap-filling is the other SLC-on Landsat scene that provide same resolution, few changes, and similar data acquisition. But receiving of Landsat imagery is not stable in Korea. So SPOT image can be another alternative solution because it is a steady-state multispectral satellite image as Landsat image. In this study, we filled the SLC-off gap s of 2, 3, 4 bands using SPOT image by a local regression technique, and assigned the optimum spectral value to gaps of 1, 5, 7 bands based on a spectral adjacency. Through this process, we could restore Landsat SLC-off image and evaluated the accuracy of the results.

As human beings spend more time indoors, and with the growing complexity of indoor spaces, more focus is given to indoor spatial applications and services. 3D topological networks are used for various spatial applications that involve navigation indoors such as emergency evacuation, indoor positioning, and visualization. Manually generating indoor network data is impractical and prone to errors, yet current methods in automation need expensive sensors or datasets that are difficult and expensive to obtain and process. In this research, a methodology for semi-automatically generating a 3D indoor topological model based on IndoorGML (Indoor Geographic Markup Language) is proposed. The concept of Shooting Point is defined to accommodate the usage of omnidirectional images in generating IndoorGML data. Omnidirectional images were captured at selected Shooting Points in the building using a fisheye camera lens and rotator and indoor spaces are then identified using image processing implemented in Python. Relative positions of spaces obtained from CAD (Computer-Assisted Drawing) were used to generate 3D node-relation graphs representing adjacency, connectivity, and accessibility in the study area. Subspacing is performed to more accurately depict large indoor spaces and actual pedestrian movement. Since the images provide very realistic visualization, the topological relationships were used to link them to produce an indoor virtual tour.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify determine factors for blood VOCs levels in college students. Methods: Venous blood samples were collected from healthy 29 male and 25 female volunteers. The samples were analyzed with solid-phase microextraction gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Results: Blood concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, m-,p-xylene, o-xylene were higher in smoking group than in non-smoking group. Geometric means of smoking group and non-smoking group were 0.45 and $0.36{\mu}g/L$ in benzene, 0.82 and $0.47{\mu}g/L$ in toluene, 0.44 and $0.41{\mu}g/L$ in ethylbenzene, 0.49 and $0.39{\mu}g/L$ in m-,p-xylene and 0.47 and $0.43{\mu}g/L$ in o-xylene, respectively. Gender, alcohol drinking, coffee, commuting time (30 minutes) by a car and adjacency between home and road were not associated with increasing blood VOCs concentrations of college students. Conclusion: Smoking habit was significantly associated with blood concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-,m-,p-xylene in college students.
The purpose of this paper is to provide a compact overview of the state-of-art image mosaic algorithms in commercial softwares and to propose objective assessment method of that. Among them, several algorithms, widely used and high quality, result in the mosaic image by applying to seven different kinds of seasons of KOMPSAT-2 images and then consequently each result is analyzed visually. Moreover, quality index is suggested to assess the similarity with colors regarding adjacency images and then it is performed by comparing and analyzing the visual and quantitative results. Consequently, we found out the suggested quality index is feasible.

In order to create a solid model more efficiently for a plastic or sheet metal product with a thin and constant thickness, various methods have been proposed up to now. One of the most typical approaches is to create a sheet model initially and then transform it into a solid model automatically for a given thickness. The sheet model as well as the transitive model in sheet modeling procedure is a non-manifold model. However, the previous methods adopted the boundary representations for a solid model as their topological framework. Thus, it is difficult to represent the exact adjacency relationship between topological entities and to implement the topological operations for sheet modeling and the transformation procedure of a sheet into a solid. In this paper, we proposed a sheet modeling system based on a non-manifold topological representation which can represent solids, sheets, wireframes, and their mixture. A set of generalized Euler operators for non-manifold topology as well as the sheet modeling capabilities including adding, bending, and punching functions are provided for easy modeling of sheet objects, and they are perfomed interactively with a two dimensional curve editor. Once a sheet model is completed, it can be transformed into a solid automatically. The transformation procedure is composed of the offset functions and the Boolean operations of sheet models, and it is even more comprehensive and easier to be implemented than the precious methods.

Bathroom in apartment has the main functions of bath, washing hand and evacuation. The bathroom equipments for these functions are bathtub, shower booth, washbasin and toilet stool. Generally, these equipment are put together in one space, so it may cause people have trouble in using bathroom by other family members' occupation. Therefore the purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of preference about bathroom space fraction and grope for the connection with other spaces in apartment. The subject of this study were residents who live in brand apartments located in Seoul. The survey were carried out from november to December 2006. The data were analyzed through SPSS/PC+ using frequency, percentage and crossovers. The results of this study are as following, 1. A number of respondents would have trouble in using the bathroom by other family members' occupation once a week or more. The functional fraction of bathroom space is needed. 2. Close adjacency to Powder space, dress room is preferred. Coordination of washbasin and powder space is also needed. 3. Each separated spaces can be connected with other related spaces.
The goals of this study were to investigate some significant factors to judge level of safety at urban railway construction field and to analyze degree of risk by work classification. Currently, there are lots of construction fields for the urban railway for national transportation, and our government also planned constructing more urban railway in near future. However, most of the researches on safety neglected the degree of risk factors on the urban railway construction field. Safety managers participated in the brainstorming session for deriving decision criteria of the degree of risk (i.e., significant factors). Then, they were asked to answer a structured questionnaire which was developed for deriving most important factors. Finally, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to analyze level of risk by work classification. The following results were obtained. First, total twelve factors judging degree of risk were found in the brainstorming session. Second, the questionnaire showed four significant factors, including adjacency of obstacle, intensity of work, unsafe condition and work space. Third, the results of AHP showed civil work is the most dangerous work among 6 work types. The results could be used to give the safety management priority on accident prevention efforts among several hazards and to reduce degree of risk in construction field of the urban railway.
