새로 개발한 실리콘젤시트의 물성에 대한 연구 (Comparison Study of Physical Properties between Two Silicone Gel Sheets)

  • Purpose: Silicone gel sheet(SGS) is used for preventing and treating keloid or hypertrophic scars. Because the product is weak in tear strength and adherence, it requires several replacements, which requires high cost. As a solution for this problem, we developed a new silicone gel sheet, named as Scar Clinic, and confirmed its physical properties. Methods: Tensile strength, elongation rate, adhesiveness, and water vapor transmission rate were experimentally compared between the most commonly used SGS product and the Scar Clinic. Results: The newly developed SGS showed better results compared to the existed SGS in regards to tensile strength, elongation rate, adhesiveness, and water vapor transmission rate. Conclusion: The Scar Clinic showed higher durability and flexibility. It will be a useful product for treating scars clinically.

Compressive Shear and Bending Performance of Compressed Laminated Wood after Microwave Heating

  • To manufacture laminated wood with improved mechanical properties by providing uniform adhesiveness, the adhesive was applied and the plate adhesive was laminated on the wood surface. Then, after laminating the wood on the top part of the adhesivebond, it was heated and dried while the adhesive was stiffened using microwaves, and the test piece was manufactured by compressing it with the press machine for thirty minutes. The temperature and the water content were examined according to the heating time of the wood heated with the microwave, and testing was conducted on the shear strength and flexural strength of the wood. In addition, the microstructure of the adhesive bond between the wood was recorded to confirm the penetrabilityinto the wood structure for the adhesive. After the test was conducted, it was found that the test piece manufactured with wood that has its water content leveled with the microwave heating showed improved shear strength and bending strength compared to the standard test piece. With regard to adhesives, liquefied polyvinyl acetate resin and plate's PVB resin were found to have superior adhesive strength. Also, after filming the cellular microstructure, it was found that when the laminated wood is heated with microwaves, the infiltration of the adhesive into the inside of the wood becomes easy, which makes it effective for improving adhesiveness.

  • This research takes granite stone based floor finishing exposed to concentrated downpouring and observes the material's physical changes, adhesiveness, compressive strength under wet conditions. The results of the experiments shows that elution of sulfide mineral can occur when granite stones are exposed to downpour, but short term exposure shows little physical changes to the material. This indicates that if post maintenance is properly enacted, long term usage of granite stone materials is also possible.

악안면 보철용 폴리우레탄과 실리콘의 접착도에 관한 실험적 연구 (A STUDY ON THE ADHESIVENESS OF SILICONE AND POLYURETHANE SHEET IN MAXILLOFACIAL PROSTHESES)

  • The material of choice for functional and esthetic reconstruction of maxillofacial defects is silicone. Silicone has appropriate physical properties for maxillofacial prosthesis but it has weak edge strength. Therefore, a proper combination of silicone and polyurethane sheet is recommended to improve this weakness. Various primers are also used to enhance the adhesive strength between silicone and polyurethane sheet. The purpose of this study was to determine the adhesive strength of silicone and polyurethane sheet. Silicone elastomer mixture was made by admixing MDX4-4210 elastomer (40%) and Silastic Medical Adhesive Type A(60%). This silicone elastomer mixture was attached to polyurethane sheet, using one of three different primers(1205, S-2260, or A-304), treated for 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours. These were then polymerized in room temperature, dry-heat oven or microwave oven. Six specimens per each group, a total of 270 specimens were prepared for final test. The differences of T-peel bonding strengths were then determined by a test. The differences of T-peel bonding strengths were then determined by a test method that was recommended by American Society for Testing and Materials C794-80. The results were statistically analyzed using the ANOVA and Mutiple Range Tests(Tukey' HSD). The reults were as follow. 1. Type of primer, primer reaction time, and methods of polymerization showed significant correlation on the T-peel bonding strengths in adhesiveness between silicone and polyurethane sheet. 2. A-304 primer showed statistically higher in T-peel bonding strength than otehr type of primers except for the polymerization in microwave oven with reaction times of 2, 6 hours(p<0.05). 3. No significant differences in T-peel bonding strength were observed among the polymerization methods. 4. The effect of reaction time by the primer type and polymerization method showed statistically significant differences in bonding strength among different reaction times. And in most cases, reaction time of 1 or 2 hours showed higher T-peel bonding strength.

케토롤락과 치자엑스 가수분해물이 함유된 하이드로겔제의 물성 및 생체 부착성 (Property and Bio-adhesiveness in Hydrogel Material with Content of Ketorolac and Gardeniae Fructus Hydrolysis Products)

  • 소염진통제인 Ketorolac tromethamine에 치자엑스 복합제제를 혼합하여 4종의 하이드로겔을 제조한 다음 주성분의 확인, 점도, 표면장력, 인장강도 및 생체부착성 실험을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. KGE 및 KGH gel 제제 중 Ketorolac tromethamine의 함량은 1.02~0.97%이었고, Geniposide의 함량은 KGE gel A와 C에서 0.34%이었으나, KGH gel B와 D에서 0.11%로 낮아졌고, Genipin의 함량은 KGE gel A와 C에서는 나타나지 않았으나, KGH gel B와 D에서 0.13%로 나타났다. 2. Gel 제제의 온도에 따른 점도는 gel 화제로 Carbopol 940을 단독으로 사용한 gel이 Poloxamer 407을 추가한 gel보다 더 높은 점도를 유지하였으며, 각 제제에서의 표면장력은 $37^{\circ}C$에서 34.77~40.58 dyne/cm를 나타냈다. 제제의 인장강도는 KGH gel B에서 대조군에 비하여 3.5배 정도 높은 인장강도를 나타냈다. 3. 생체부착성은 등피부 상부(표피층)와 배피부의 경우 KGH gel B 에서 50.62 N으로 나타나 대조군에 비해 5배 정도 높은 수치를 나타내었고, 등피부 하부(진피층)와 배피부의 경우 KGH gel B의 에서 35.93 N으로 나타나 대조군에 비해 3.5배 정도 높은 수치를 나타냈다.

The Effect of Fluid Shear Stress on Endothelial Cell Adhesiveness to Modified Polyurethane Surfaces

  • Generally vascular grafts with a relatively large inner diameter (> 5 mm) have been successfully employed for replacement in the human body. However, the use of small diameter grafts is limited, because these grafts rapidly occlude due to the thrombosis. The ideal blood-contacting surface of a prosthesis would be an endothelial cell (EC) lining, because the confluent monolayer of healthy ECs that culture natural blood vessels represents the ideal nonthrombogenic surface. For vascular graft application, the stable EC adhesion on surface under How conditions is very important. In this study, the adhesive strength of ECs attached on polymer surfaces coated with collagen type IV (Col IV), fibronectin (Fn), laminin (Ln), and treated with corona was investigated onto polyurethane (PU) films. The EC-attached PU surfaces were mounted on parallel-plate flow chambers in a How system prepared for cell adhesiveness test. Three different shear stresses (100, 150, and 200 dyne/㎠) were applied to the How chambers and each shear stress was maintained for 120 min to investigate the effect of shear stress and surface treatment condition on the EC adhesion strength. It was observed that the EC adhesion strength on the surface-modified PU films was in the order of Ln≡Fn > Col IV > corona 》 control. More than 70% of the adhered cells were remained on surface-modified PU surface after applying the shear stress,200 dyne/㎠ for 2 hrs, whereas the cells were completely detached on the control PU surface within 10 min after applying the same shear stress. It seems that the type of adsorbed proteins and hydrophilicitv onto the PU surfaces play very important roles for cell adhesion strength.

검류를 첨가하여 제조한 비지 젤화물의 물리적 품질특성 (Quality Properties of Gelling Product prepared from Soybean Curd Residue with Addition of Gums)

  • The physical properties of jellified soybean curd residue (Biji) with the addition of various gums were investigated to optimize the direct availability of a by-product of the tofu production process. The lightness (L value) of the jellified Biji prepared with various gums was approximately 77~80, regardless of the concentration of gum used. Especially at the concentration of 0.1% and 0.3%, a pectin showed a significantly higher value compared with other gelling agents (carrageenan and agar). The strength of samples prepared on the basis of carrageenan showed the value of 335~569 $g/cm^2$ and 234~335 $g/cm^2$ according to the addition of locust bean gum and xanthan gum, respectively. On the other hand, the samples made with pectin and agar were 134~272 $g/cm^2$ and 50~215 $g/cm^2$, respectively. Where locust bean gum was used as a viscous agent, the adhesiveness of sample prepared by adding carrageenan was greater than those made with pectin or agar. The values were -6.0~-11.0 g, -2.7~-10.2 g and -3.7~-7.0 g, respectively. Overall, the strength and adhesiveness of samples according to increase of the added amount of Biji showed constantly increasing trend regardless of the type of gelling agent used. In the sample containing carrageenan this trend was most noticeable.

원료 전분이 다른 당면의 품질 평가 (Quality Evaluation of Tangmyon Prepared from Sweet Potato and/or Corn Starches)

  • 원료 차이에 의한 당면의 품질특성을 밝히고, 품질의 평가 기준설정을 위한 기초자료를 마련하기 위하여 고구마 당면(100% 고구마 전분), 일반 당면(50% 고구마 전분-50% 옥수수 전분) 및 옥수수 전분(100% 옥수수 전분)을 대상으로 조리특성, 조리된 당면의 텍스쳐와 관능특성을 조사하였다. 조리에 따른 당면의 무게증가율과 고형분 손실량은 일반 당면이 가장 높았다. 조리중 당면의 압축강도와 신장율은 고구마 당면이 가장 켰으며, 신장 탄성율은 고구마 당면이 가장 낮았다. 압축강도와 인장강도는 직선적인 관계를 보였으며, 동일한 압축강도에서의 인장강도는 옥수수 당면이 가장 크고, 고구마 당면이 가장 작았다. 고구마 당면은 모든 관능특성에서 가장 높은 값을 보였고 관능적 특성중 부착성과 일반 당면과 옥수수 당면의 점착성을 제외한 모든 지표들은 시료간에 유의적인 차이(p<0.05)를 보였다. 당면의 전체 바람직한 정도와 같은 경향을 보이는 관능적 특성은 투명도, 광택, 부착성과 신장성이었다.

홍화씨 열수 추출 분말을 이용한 우리 밀 라면의 제조 (Production of Ramyon from Korean Cultured Wheat by Adding with Hot Water Extract Powder of Safflower Seed)

  • The purpose of this study was to make ramyon from Korean cultured wheat by adding with hot water extract powder from safflower seed in order to add the value of it. The cooking quality, instrumental texture and sensory characteristics of ramyon were analyzed. The ramyons with 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 0.7% of hot water extract powder(HEP) from safflower seed, control, and those with 3% and 5% of dried powder(DP) from safflower seed were compared. The yield of HEP was 7.8%. Lightness, redness, Max. weight, strength, hardness, adhesiveness, cohesiveness and springiness were measured. As the amounts of HEP and DP was increasing, ramyons smelled stronger and was getting harder and chewier, while became less transparent and had no difference in elasticity and adhesiveness. In overall acceptability, both control and ramyon with HEP had similar points. From three important factors, appearance, color and smell to make ramyon more acceptable, addition of 0.3~0.5% of hot water extract powder from safflower seed was found to be the best. However, further studies on smells are needed to make processed foodstuffs with safflower seed.

구리 표면과 Solder Resist Ink 사이의 밀착력 향상 위한 Soft Etching제 개발을 위한 연구 (Study on Soft Etching Material Development to Improve Peel Strength between Surface of Copper and Solder Resist Ink)

  • Solder resist ink와 회로표면과의 밀착력 향상을 위해 사용되는 soft etching 제의 기본 조성으로 과산화수소와 황산을 선정하고 inhibitor, 계면활성제, 안정제를 첨가하여 에칭 속도 $0.7{\sim}1{\mu}m/min$, 표면조도(Ra)값 $0.5{\sim}0.6{\mu}m$을 만족시키는 soft etching 제 개발을 위한 연구를 하였다. Inhibitor로는 butyl amine, cyclohexyl amine, 5-aminotetrazole (5-Azol)을 첨가하였으며 계면활성제로는 polyethylene glycol (PEG), polyethylene imine (PEI), piperidine을 안정제로는 butyl alcohol, isopropanol, 인산을 첨가하여 각각의 첨가제가 에칭 속도 및 표면조도에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과 과산화수소 3% 황산 4%에 5-Azol 500 ppm, PEI 600 ppm, 인산 10 ppm 첨가 시 $0.7~1{\mu}m/min$을 만족시키는 에칭속도와 가장 좋은 표면조도를 갖는 것을 확인하였으며 solder test 결과 solder resist ink의 들뜸 현상이 발생하지 않는 것을 확인하였다.
