  • In this paper, we consider a semilinear stochastic heat equation driven by an additive fractional white noise. Under the pathwise uniqueness property, we establish various strong stability results. As a consequence, we give an application to the convergence of the Picard successive approximation.

  • This paper discusses the effect of plating condition on the mechanical property of electroplated Cu film. Current density, the amount of the organic additives was found to affect the residual stress of electroplated copper film. The result show that, in the case of residual stress, the copper film deposited at higher additive result in lower residual stress and plating current by $15mA/cm^2$ induced a better result than any other ones.

  • As the additives of engine oil, Mo-DTP and Zn-DTP were studied by experimental works. These additives were added to the engine oil with various ratios, which was an attempt to find out the best ratio at which the wear and friction can be reduced effectively; Mo-DTP is belived to be able to decrease the frictioh of the sliding metal, while Zn-DTP is known as a very stable additive for oxidation at high temperature in addition to the good antiwear property. This study showed that the optimum addition ratio of Mo-DTP and Zn-DTP is 3:2. This oil made it possible to slide steel with minimum wear and low friction over various lovels of load at moderate temperature. But as the oil temperature increased, the wear slid with Mo-DTP oil was increased more. The reason of this result was that Mo-DTP deteriorated the property of oil at high temperature by the higher oxidation and viscosity of Mo-DTP oil than that of Zn-DTP oil.

  • We investigated on the additive effect of carbon nanotube in the sulfur electrode on the first discharge curve and cycling property of lithium/sulfur cell. The sulfur electrode with carbon nanotube had two discharge plateau potentials and the first discharge capacity about 1200 mAh/g sulfur. The addition carbon nanotube into the sulfur electrode did not affect the first discharge behavior, but improved the cycling property of lithium/sulfur cell. The optimum content of carbon nanotube was 6 wt% of sulfur electrode

  • The effect of the additive on the dielectric property of $TiO_2$ containing 0-2.5wt %. $Sb_2O_3$ was investigated as a function of frequency from $5{\times}10^4$ to $6.3{\times}10^7$ cps and temperature from 25 to 375$^{\circ}C$. The dielectric constant increased with increasing $Sb_2O_3$ concentration from 0.25 to 0.5wt.% It is due to space charge polarization caused by increasing anion vacanices. The dielectric constant decreased for further increase in $Sb_2O_3$ concentration. It can be explained by increasing grain size effect rather than space charge polarization.

  • Chemical compositions, trypsin inhibitory activity, and gelling properties of albumen from duck egg during salting of 30 days were studied. As the salting time increased, moisture content decreased, the salt content and surface hydrophobicity increased (p<0.05). Trypsin inhibitory activity and specific activity were continuously decreased throughout the salting time of 30 days (p<0.05). This coincided with the decrease in band intensity of inhibitor with molecular weight of 44 kDa as examined by inhibitory activity staining. Nevertheless, no differences in protein patterns were observed in albumen during the salting of 30 days. Based on texture profile analysis, hardness, springiness, gumminess, chewiness, and resilience of albumen gel decreased with increasing salting time. Conversely, salted albumen gels exhibited higher cohesiveness and adhesiveness, compared to those of fresh albumen. Scanning electron microscopic study revealed that gel of salted albumen showed the larger voids and less compactness. In general, salting lowered trypsin inhibitory activity and gelling property of albumen from duck egg to some extent. Nevertheless, the salted albumen with the remaining inhibitor could be an alternative additive for surimi or other meat products to prevent proteolysis.

  • Chitosan is an environment-friendly and natural cationic polymer that can be used as a hair cosmetic additive. Healthy hair and damaged hair samples were experimented on according to treatment conditions using a water-soluble chitosan. Chitosan treated hair samples were studied on the physical and mechanical property changes. It is most effective when the water-soluble chitosan treatment was adjusted to the Neutral (pH6.8) or Acid (pH4.5). When the water soluble chitosan was treated at pH4.5, the tensile strength, tensile elongation, and elasticity of decolorized hair all increased. The virgin and damaged hair both changed into elastic and soft hair. The effect of chitosan treatment is more noticeable in the healthy hair than in the damaged hair.

  • Acryl binder is a representative organic additive for the manufacture of the display electronic equipment. Acryl binder is usually synthesized by radical copolymerization. Glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and methacrylic acid (MAA) were used in this copolymerization of acryl binder. In this study the silane type mercaptane compound was used as a chain transfer agent (CTA) to enhance the adhesion property of the acrylic binder. The CTA used in this experiment was (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (MPTMS). Molecular weight of the copolymer, thickness of the coating, transmittance, and adhesion property were measured. The molecular weight was controlled and the adhesion property was improved by using this silane type chain transfer agent.

  • Photoelectrochemical response and electrochemical impedance behavior was investigated for passive film formed on sputter-deposited Cr alloy in $0.1kmol{\cdot}m^{-3}$. Photoelectrochemical action spectrum could be separated into two components, which were considered to be derived from $Cr_2O_3$ ($E_g\sim3.6eV$) and $ Cr(OH)_3 $ ($E_g\sim2.5eV$). The band gap energy, $E_g$, of each component was almost constant for various applied potentials. polarization periods and alloying additives. The photoelectrochemical response showed negative photo current for most potentials in the passive region. Therefore, the photo current apparently exhibited p-typesemiconductor behavior. On the other hand, Mort-Schottky plot of the capacitance showed positive slope, which means that passive film formed on Cr alloy has n-type semiconductor property. These apparently conflicting results are rationally explained assuming that the passive film on Cr alloy formed in the acid solution has n-type semiconductor property with a fairly deep donor level in the band gap and forms an accumulation layer in the most of potential region in the passive state.
