Packet losses in the Internet can dramatically degrade quality of multimedia streams. Forward Error Correction (FEC) is one of the best methods that can protect data from packet erasures by means of sending additional redundant information. Proposed control algorithm provides the possibility of receiving real-time multimedia streams of given quality wifth minimal traffic overhead. The traffic optimization is reached by adjusting packet size as well as block code parameters. Calculations and simulation results show that for non-bursty network conditions traffic optimization can lead to more than 50% bandwidth reduction.

This study contains the fire protection safety of the public-utilization shops. The toll of fires in the public-utilization shops is so heavy in spite the less occurency. The shops are mostly compartmented into small rooms by partition wall which hinders the evacuation of the people on fire. This study provides additional requirements on the fire safety of the public-utilization shops needed for human life and property.

Noncontact measuring methodology of 3-dimensional profile using CCD camera are very attractive because of it's high measuring speed and its's high sensitivity. Especially, when projecting a grid pattern over the object the captured image have 3 dimensional information of the object. Projection moire extract 3-D information with another grid pattern in front of CCD camera. However phase measuring profilometry(PMP) obtain similar results without additional grid pattern. In this paper, new method for grid pattern generation system by polygonal mirror and Laser Diode. This system is applied the projection moire and the PMP.

데이터베이스 관리 시스템은 데이터베이스를 효율적이며 편리하게 관리하기 위해서 사용되는 어플리케이션이다. 이를 위해서 데이터베이스 관리 시스템은 열러 가지 기능들을 사용자에게 제공한다. 이들 데이터베이스 관리 시스템 중에 하나인 MySQL은, 일반적인 데이터베이스 관리 시스템들이 지원해주는 몇 가지 기능들을 지원해주지 않아 사용자들은 불편함을 겪게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이들 기능들을 보완할 수 있는 기법을 제시하고, 제시된 기법에 따른 설계와 구현을 수행한다.

In this paper, we analyze the problem with existing telematics contents service systems that have been provided telematics information on a special contents provider. Then, we suggest methods to solve the problems and propose the architecture of TELIC(Telematics Information Center) to implement our methods. We also verify the stability and the accuracy of the suggested architecture through a comparison with an existing service system. With our system, it is possible to develop telematics content application without additional developing the integration method of various contents.

The disaster preparedness system in Korea has been developed in spite of many obstacles, but there are still many problems especially on actual preparedness including disaster drill and disaster medical system. Disaster drills performed by wide regional emergency medical centers for one years were analyzed based on the disaster drill report and additional compensation of incomplete data by direct contact with the participating institutions. On the disaster medical drills in Korea, it is necessary to emphasize drills on various types of disaster, active participation of medical personnels, drills combined with various types of related institutions, process of disaster medical aspect.

In this paper, we present a scheme for the improving reliable transport and the efficient multicast support in mobile environment. The proposed scheme solves a problem of TCP layer resulted from mobility by using a Representative FA. RFA has a mechanism like a snoop module which has a cache and can provide retransmission of a multicast packet lost and solve the rock implosion problem. Also, we present an additional IGMP message. By using it, We can remove a delay for IGMP query cycle and serve a multicast service more promptly.

The microcellular architectures based on the smaller size increase the possibilities of frequent handover, thereby necessitating additional control procedures for providing communication services. This paper proposes a technique for estimating the mobile location in the microcellular architecutre. It can be utilized for many purposes such as increasing the effectiveness of channel allocation strategies. Simulations are performed to analyze the estimation accuracy of the proposed technique.

An efficient sliding window algorithm employing an adaptive-length guard window for turbo decoders is proposed. The proposed algorithm results in significant complexity reductions, especially for small sliding window lengths where the additional computational complexity required for the guard window is critical.

This paper concerned with the patterns of foot-floor contact and electromyography activities of the lower extremity of the body during the termination of human gait. The termination of human gait is defined as the transition from a steady-state gait to a quiet standing posture. The transition between these two states has not been extensively studied and defined. There appears to be a critical period in the gait cycle that the decision to terminate gait or continue to take an additional step must be made.
