The low-voltage induction motors have been widely driven by IGBT PWM inverters, ever since it was used to apply variable speed drives. Recently, the insulation failures of the stator windings become critical problems due to the high ratio of dv/dt in IGBT PWM inverters. In this paper, the detailed insulation tests on the IGBT PWM inverter fed induction motor are carried out. Five different types of insulation techniques are used to ti induction motors. The change of the insulation characteristics such as partial discharge, AC current, capacitance, and dissipation factor are compared. respectively In addition, insulation breakdown tests using the high voltage pulse are performed, and corresponding breakdown voltages are analyzed.

To investigate the applicability of automated ball indentation (ABI) tests in the evaluation of the tensile properties of cast stainless steel (CSS), ABI tests were performed on four types of unaged CSS and on 316 stainless steel, all of which had a different microstructure and strength. The reliability of ABI test data was analyzed by evaluating the data scattering of the ABI test and by comparing tensile properties obtained from the ABI test and the tensile test. The results show that the degree of scattering of the ABI test data is reasonably acceptable in comparison with that of standard tensile data, when two points data that exhibit out-of-trend are excluded from five to seven points data tested on a specimen. In addition, the scattering decreases slightly as the content of ${\delta}-ferrite$ in CSS increases. Moreover, the ABI test can directly measure the flow parameters of CSS with error bounds of about ${\pm}10\%$ for the ultimate tensile stress and the strength coefficient, and about ${\pm}15\%$ for the yield stress and the strain hardening exponent. The accuracy of the ABI test data is independent of the amount of ${\delta}-ferrite$ in the CSS.

Tensile and J-R tests were carried out to estimate the effects of dynamic strain aging(DSA) on SA106Gr.C piping steel. Tensile tests were performed under temperature range RT to $400^{\circ}C$ md strain rates from $1.39{\times}10^{-4}\;to\;6.95{\times}10^{-2}/s$. Fracture toughness was tested in the temperature range RT to $350^{\circ}C$ and load-line displacement rates 0.4 and 4mm/min. The effects of DSA on the tensile properties were clearly observed for phenomena such serrated flow, variation of ultimate and yield stress, and negative stram rate sensitivity. However, the magnitude of serration and strength increase by DSA was relatively small. this may be due to high ratio of Mn to C. In addition, crack initiation resistance, Ji and crack growth resistance, dJ/da were reduced in the range of $200-300^{\circ}C$, where DSA appeared as serrated flow and UTS hardening. The temperature corresponding to minimum fracture resistance was shifted to higher temperature with increasing loading rate.

Reliability measures of questionnaire and ${\chi}^2$ contingency tests of categorized responses are most practical tools to analyze the characteristics of subjects of survey study. This research evaluates the Cronbaha's reliability measures by using Repeated Measure Design (RMD) with illustrated MINITAB examples. In addition, ${\chi}^2$ statistics of each cell of categorized tables can be effectively interpreted with the symmetric plot of correspondence analysis. The practical example is also discussed to provide comprehensive understanding of topic.

The dynamic behavior of railway bridges originates from dynamic properties of various spans and structural types. As a result, the exact estimation of dynamic properties of the railway bridge can produce the exact estimations of dynamic performances of the railway bridge. The damping ratio affects the dynamic reponses of the railway bridge in the vicinity of the critical speed seriously. Eurocode, National Annex of each European country and Japan have their own specification for the damping ratio for the estimation of dynamic performance of railway bridges. In our case, the specification for Honam high speed railways follows the Eurocode. In the present study, for the verification and regulation of the damping ratio and investigation of various dynamic properties, modal tests of various structural types are performed. In addition, for the investigation of effects of track structures on the dynamic property of the bridge, ballast track and concrete track are installed and tested.

In this study, we briefly describe five newly recorded foraminiferal species from off the southern coast of Jeju Island: Ammolagena clavata, Neoeponides bradyi, Nodosaria lamnulifera, Rhabdammina abyssorum, and Uvigerina schwageri. Ammolagena clavata and Rhabdammina abyssorum are the first reports of the genera Ammolagena and Rhabdammina in Korea. In addition, R. abyssorum is reported from a depth of 103 m, which is a relatively shallow record within the distribution depth range for this agglutinated deep-sea species. Ammolagena clavata also shows interesting characteristics that the test usually attaches to substrates including shell fragments, sediment particles, or other foraminiferal tests. All other three species have typical calcareous and hyaline tests. The present report on unrecorded species improves the understanding of foraminiferal species diversity in Korean waters and confirms the need for the further research on foraminifera in the adjacent seas of Korea.

In order to clarify the wear resistance as cutting tools, the effect of oxygen addition on oxidation behavior of the ${\beta}-Si_3N_4$ ceramics with 5 mass% $Y_2O_3$ and 2 or 4 mass% $Al_2O_3$ was investigated by performing oxidation tests in air at $1300^{\circ}$ to $1400^{\circ}C$ and cutting performance tests. From test results, we could conclude that the mechanical properties of ${\beta}-Si_3N_4$ ceramics depending on oxygen introduction are much effective on cutting performance improvements of ${\beta}-Si_3N_4$ ceramics.

A wide variety of benign and malignant lesions and other diseases can develop on oral mucosa. Oral mucosal lesions can also be associated with an underlying systemic disease, so their correct diagnosis, which may even share similar clinical and demographic features, is always a challenge for a dentist. Common oral mucosal lesions include candidiasis, herpes viral infection, leukoplakia, recurrent aphthous stomatitis, pemphigus, lichen planus and benign migratory glossitis. The differential diagnosis of these lesions are based on a thorough review of the patient's past medical and dental history and a complete oral examination. The knowledge of clinical features such as size, location, morphology, color, and pain is helpful in establishing a diagnosis. In addition, diagnostic tests, including microbiologic and laboratory tests and biopsies are usually required for establishing a proper diagnosis.

In this study, the characteristics of pullout behavior of Pressurized light-weight steel Anchor was investigated through centrifuge model tests considering pull-out angle $0^{\circ}$ with changing undrained shearstrength(0~1, 2~4, 5~7kPa) of clay. According to the results of tests, the yield pullout load of clay ground was gradually increased up to 30% as undrained shear strength was increased. Therefore, it was known that the yield pullout load was affected by increasing the undrained shear strength, in addition, the pattern of behavior was not changed.

This study developed eel teriyaki sauce and suggests conditions for its commercialization. Consumer preference tests were carried out with Korean (n=50) and Japanese (n=50) consumers. Grilled eel samples were made by teriyaki sauce with addition of Bokbunja juice, powder, concentrates. The preference tests were itemized for color, flavor, taste, salty taste, softness and overall-preference of grilled eel. Korean and Japanese consumers preferred flavor and taste, and the degree of overall preference was rated higher at 60% for Bokbunja juice, 20% for Bokbunja powder, and 40% for Bokbunja concentrate. Japanese consumers also preferred its color as well. The items of softness and overall-preference had good ratings.
