The effects of media violence on the delinquent behavior and violence of children and adolescent are controversial. However, a small but genuine association appears to exist between media violence and aggression or violence. At the present, for a considerable proportion of the population of children and adolescent, delinquent behavior and violence has become a major problem and a way of life. One factor contributing to this problem has been assumed to be the negative influence of mass media including television, drama, videotapes and fiction magazines and so on. Therefore, this paper is intended to discriminate the causal relationship of influence of mass media and juvenile delinquent behavior and violence and to provide nine hypotheses derived from reviewing the literature related to mass media and delinquent behavior. The nine hypotheses are as follows : 1. The presence of modeling mass media crime themes and the extent of interest in and exposure of children and adolescent to media violence themes will be positively correlated to their delinquent(aggressive) behavior. 2. A higher positive correlation will be revealed between interest in and exposure to media violence themes and aggressive behavior among adolescent having parental rejection than among adolescent not experiencing parental rejection. 3. A higher positive relationship will be found between interest in and exposure to mass media crime themes and delinquent behavior among youth having need deprivation than among youth not having need frustration. 4. A higher positive relationship will be presented between the presence of imitating mass media crime themes and interest in and exposure to media violence themes and delinquent or aggressive behavior among youth dysplaying their maladaptive character tendency than among those adolescent dysplaying adaptive character tendency. 5. A higher positively correlating relationship will be shown between interest in and exposure to mass media crime themes and delinquent behavior among youth with a higher scores of depressive trend than among those youth having few or no depression. 6. A higher positive relationship will be found between interest in and exposure to media violence themes and aggressive behavior among adolescent complaining of a high degree of psychosomatic complaints than among those youth having few or no psychosomatic complaints. 7. A higher positive correlation will be appeared between interest in and exposure to mass media crime themes and delinquent behavior among youth displaying aggressive impulsiveness than among those youth having few or no aggressive impulsiveness. 8. A higher positive relationship will be found between interest in and exposure to media violence themes and aggressive behavior among youth having antisocial character or neurotic character with weak ego functioning than among those adolescent not having antisocial character or neurotic character with weak ego functioning. 9. A higher positive correlation will be existed between interest in and exposure to mass media crime themes and delinquent behavior among adolescent displaying the lack of sociality than among those youth not having the lack of sociality. The above nine hypotheses will be tested by statistical methods including Chi-square test, simple correlation, principal component analysis, principal component regression analysis and LISREL path analysis.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for an alternative method using the clustering algorithm in a system that needs classification to extract individual user context information. In the conventional user classification system, the user has to input his own information. In this paper, we will research and develop a system applying a clustering algorithm which can extract user 's perceived information applying the improved algorithm for user management base. Generally, the algorithm that distinguishes users with the same data makes sure that recorded information matches the newly entered information, and then responds accordingly. However, it is troublesome to manually input information of the new user. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to distinguish users by using the clustering algorithm based on the analyzed data from the working memory in the accumulated system without directly inputting the user information. The study shows that the management method applied to the applied algorithm is more adaptive in environments where the number of people is different from that of the existing system (as a subjective observer test method).

This study rehabilitation assistive technology system for people with disabilities employed by a company in the field of occupations and job satisfaction have adapted to, and for the rehabilitation assistive technology support(rehabilitation assistive technology hardware and the software) and service quality based on the quality of convenient for employees to work life by analyzing the factors that can act on adaptation employees on behavioral intentions was to determine the overall impact. Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon companies based in vocational education and training received in the employment of the disabled subject questionnaires were distributed, and finally 594 valid questionnaires were minor. In order to test the hypothesis SEM(structural equation model) were used, the results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, rehabilitation assistive technology hardware quality of the quality of rehabilitation assistive technology software affected. Second, rehabilitation assistive technology software quality on the quality of the service quality affected. Third, rehabilitation assistive technology hardware quality on the quality of the service quality affected. Fourth, quality of service, the quality of the adaptation of action for employees affected also. Fifth, rehabilitation assistive technology software for adaptive quality of the employees also had an impact on behavior. Sixth, rehabilitation assistive technology hardware to adapt the quality of the employees affected. And parameters (quality of service quality) influenced to as indirect effects. The results of this study support the rehabilitation assistive technology and rehabilitation assistive technology hardware and software) based, quality of service and quality of fused form acceptable to, the degree of action for employees to adapt more implications that may affect have provided.
Studies on thermal adaptation postulate that optimal temperature of physiological properties matches a usually experienced body temperature (Tb) of organisms. Hibernating bats maintain Tb's that are slighdy higher than ambient temperatures (9$^{\circ}$-12$^{\circ}$C) of their wintering sites. To test the hypothesis that muscle function is adjusted to the Tb range of the hibernating animals, we examined contractile function of the biceps brachil muscle of Korean greater horseshoe bats, Rhinolophus ferrumequlnum korai (n = 5) at tissue temperatures between 1O$^{\circ}$ and 35$^{\circ}$C. Relative tetanic force (% of maximum force) was highest at temperatures of 1O$^{\circ}$-15$^{\circ}$C, which match well their Tb's during hibernation. Because non-hibernating endotherms with Tb of around 37$^{\circ}$C show the optimal temperature for muscle force over 30$^{\circ}$-40$^{\circ}$C, our results strongly suggest that the flight muscle of the bats may exhibit thermal adjustments according to their seasonal Tb's. The capacity to generate strong force at such low body temperatures may be adaptive, because bats must have muscles functioning to fly for occasional watering or excretion, or to move away from potential predators during hibernation.
Alcohol consumption increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. However, its effects on prediabetes or early diabetes have not been studied. We investigated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in the pancreas and liver resulting from chronic alcohol consumption in the prediabetes and early stages of diabetes. We separated Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rats, a type-2 diabetic animal model, into two groups based on diabetic stage: prediabetes and early diabetes were defined as occurrence between the ages of 11 to 16 weeks and 17 to 22 weeks, respectively. The experimental group received an ethanol-containing liquid diet for 6 weeks. An intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test was conducted after 16 and 22 weeks for the prediabetic and early diabetes groups, respectively. There were no significant differences in body weight between the control and ethanol groups. Fasting and 120-min glucose levels were lower and higher, respectively, in the ethanol group than in the control group. In prediabetes rats, alcohol induced significant expression of ER stress markers in the pancreas; however, alcohol did not affect the liver. In early diabetes rats, alcohol significantly increased most ER stress-marker levels in both the pancreas and liver. These results indicate that chronic alcohol consumption increased the risk of diabetes in prediabetic and early diabetic OLETF rats; the pancreas was more susceptible to damage than was the liver in the early diabetic stages, and the adaptive and proapoptotic pathway of ER stress may play key roles in the development and progression of diabetes affected by chronic alcohol ingestion.
Cave shrimps from the genera Typhlatya, Stygiocaris and Typhlopatsa (TST complex) comprises twenty cave-adapted taxa, which mainly occur in the anchialine environment. Anchialine habitats may undergo drastic environmental fluctuations, including spatial and temporal changes in salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen content. Previous studies of crustaceans from anchialine caves suggest that they have possessed morphological, behavioral, and physiological adaptations to cope with the extreme conditions, similar to other cave-dwelling crustaceans. However, the genetic basis has not been thoroughly explored in crustaceans from anchialine habitats, which can experience hypoxic regimes. To test whether the TST shrimp-complex hypoxia adaptations matched adaptive evolution of mitochondrial OXPHOS genes. The 13 OXPHOS genes from mitochondrial genomes of 98 shrimps and 1 outgroup were examined. For each of these genes was investigated and compared to orthologous sequences using both gene (i.e. branch-site and Datamonkey) and protein (i.e. TreeSAAP) level approaches. Positive selection was detected in 11 of the 13 candidate genes, and the radical amino acid changes sites scattered throughout the entire TST complex phylogeny. Additionally, a series of parallel/convergent amino acid substitutions were identified in mitochondrial OXPHOS genes of TST complex shrimps, which reflect functional convergence or similar genetic mechanisms of cave adaptation. The extensive occurrence of positive selection is suggestive of their essential role in adaptation to hypoxic anchialine environment, and further implying that TST complex shrimps might have acquired a finely capacity for energy metabolism. These results provided some new insights into the genetic basis of anchialine hypoxia adaptation.

Without any validation of the incompressible assumption, most of previous studies on cavitation flow and its noise have utilized numerical methods based on the incompressible Reynolds Average Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations because of advantage of its efficiency. In this study, to investigate the effects of the flow compressibility on the Tip Vortex Cavitation (TVC) flow and noise, both the incompressible and compressible simulations are performed to simulate the TVC flow, and the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) integral equation is utilized to predict the TVC noise. The DARPA Suboff submarine body with an underwater propeller of a skew angle of 17 degree is targeted to account for the effects of upstream disturbance. The computation domain is set to be same as the test-section of the large cavitation tunnel in Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering to compare the prediction results with the measured ones. To predict the TVC accurately, the Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation (DDES) technique is used in combination with the adaptive grid techniques. The acoustic spectrum obtained using the compressible flow solver shows closer agreement with the measured one.

Traditional methods of measuring corneal ulcers were difficult to present objective basis for diagnosis because of the subjective judgment of the medical staff through photographs taken with special equipment. In this paper, we propose a method to detect the ulcer area on a pixel basis in corneal ulcer images using a semantic segmentation model. In order to solve this problem, we performed the experiment to detect the ulcer area based on the DeepLab model which has the highest performance in semantic segmentation model. For the experiment, the training and test data were selected and the backbone network of DeepLab model which set as Xception and ResNet, respectively were evaluated and compared the performances. We used Dice similarity coefficient and IoU value as an indicator to evaluate the performances. Experimental results show that when 'crop & resized' images are added to the dataset, it segment the ulcer area with an average accuracy about 93% of Dice similarity coefficient on the DeepLab model with ResNet101 as the backbone network. This study shows that the semantic segmentation model used for object detection also has an ability to make significant results when classifying objects with irregular shapes such as corneal ulcers. Ultimately, we will perform the extension of datasets and experiment with adaptive learning methods through future studies so that they can be implemented in real medical diagnosis environment.
With the development of technology, efforts to reduce the exposure dose received by patients in CT scans are continuing with the development of new reconstruction techniques. Recently, deep learning reconstruction techniques have been developed to overcome the limitations of repetitive reconstruction techniques. This study aims to evaluate the usefulness of images according to reconstruction techniques in pediatric chest CT images. Patient study conducted a study on 85 pediatric patients who underwent chest CT scan at P-Hospital in Gyeongsangnam-do from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. The phantom used in the Phantom Study is the Pediatrics Whole Body Phantom PBU-70. After the test, the images were reconstructed with FBP, ASIR-V (50%) and DLIR (TF-Medium, High), and the images were evaluated by obtaining SNR and CNR values by setting ROI of the same size. As a result, TF-H of deep learning reconstruction techniques had the lowest noise value compared to ASIR-V (50%) and TF-M in all experiments, and SNR and CNR had the highest values. In pediatric chest CT scans, TF images with deep learning reconstruction techniques were less noisy than ASiR-V images with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction techniques, CNR and SNR were higher, and the quality of images was improved compared to conventional reconstruction techniques.

Widespread popularity of wireless data communication devices, coupled with the availability of higher bandwidths, has led to an increased user demand for content-rich media such as images and videos. Since such content often tends to be private, sensitive, or paid for, there exists a requirement for securing such communication. However, solutions that rely only on traditional compute-intensive security mechanisms are unsuitable for resource-constrained wireless and embedded devices. In this paper, we propose a selective partial image encryption scheme for image data hiding , which enables highly efficient secure communication of image data to and from resource constrained wireless devices. The encryption scheme is invoked during the image compression process, with the encryption being performed between the quantizer and the entropy coder stages. Three data selection schemes are proposed: subband selection, data bit selection and random selection. We show that these schemes make secure communication of images feasible for constrained embed-ded devices. In addition we demonstrate how these schemes can be dynamically configured to trade-off the amount of ded devices. Experiments conducted on over 500 test images reveal that, by using our techniques, the fraction of data to be encrypted with our scheme varies between 0.0244% and 0.39% of the original image size. The peak signal to noise ratios (PSNR) of the encrypted image were observed to vary between about 9.5㏈ to 7.5㏈. In addition, visual test indicate that our schemes are capable of providing a high degree of data hiding with much lower computational costs.
