  • 생태계의 군집 특성을 네트워크 환경에 적용하여 급변하는 환경에 대한 자가 적응 및 생존 특성을 부여하는 연구가 최근 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 그 중 AntNet은 개미를 모델링한 모바일 에이젼트를 사용하여 최적의 네트워크 경로를 선택하는 적응적 라우팅 알고리즘이다. 본 논문에서는 SoC 시스템에 적용 가능한 AntNet 기반 하드웨어 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 구조는 기존 알고리즘 수준의 AntNet을 하드웨어 레벨로 근사화 하여 설계되었으며, 기존 AntNet과 가상 네트워크 구조에서의 비교를 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다. 그리고 RTL 수준의 설계 및 합성 결과를 통하여 제안된 하드웨어 구조가 AntNet 기반 라우팅 구현에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

DSP 프로세서를 이용한 실시간 ANC 시스템 구현에 관한 연구 (Implementation of Real-Time Adaptive Noise Cancellation System Using DSP Processor)

  • This paper is aiming at real-time implementation of adaptive noise cancellation system using DSP processor. ACHARF algorithm, which guarantees stability and fast convergence by adaptive compensator, is used on this DSP system. For the experiments, TLV320AIC23 stereo CODEC of TI Inc. is used with TMS320C6413 DSP processor. Signals of primary input and reference input are obtained by two microphones. The primary input is the voice plus noise signal and the reference input is white noise or real noise. The experimental results show that ANC system using DSP processor with ACHARF is verified to be an effective speech enhancement method for various speech processing units.

  • Noise can make surrounding environments inferior and deteriorates operation efficiency, and it can bring aural damage as well as give a person psychological stress. Therefore, necessity of study about noise control is increased for better labor conditions and agreeable habitat. In this paper, implementation of active mufflers using a stable IIR adaptive filters is presented. The IIR filter structure is more effective when acoustic feedback exists, but the adaptive IIR filters could be unstable when the filter algorithm is not yet converged. A stabilizing process for adaptive IIR filter is introduced in this paper. Experiments using a TMS320C32 digital signal processor have performed to show the effectiveness of a proposed algorithm.

An FPGA Implementation of High-Speed Adaptive Turbo Decoder

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive turbo decoding algorithm for high order modulation scheme combined with originally design for a standard rate-1/2 turbo decoder for B/QPSK modulation. A transformation applied to the incoming I-channel and Q-channel symbols allows the use of an off-the-shelf B/QPSK turbo decoder without any modifications. Adaptive turbo decoder process the received symbols recursively to improve the performance. As the number of iterations increase, the execution time and power consumption also increase as well. The source of the latency and power consumption reduction is from the combination of the radix-4, dual-path processing, parallel decoding, and early-stop algorithms. We implemented the proposed scheme on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and compared its decoding speed with that of a conventional decoder. From the result of implementation, we confirm that the decoding speed of proposed adaptive decoding is faster than conventional scheme by 6.4 times.

Simulink Model Implementation of MVDR Adaptive Beamformer for GPS Anti-Jamming

  • For the purpose of development of anti-jamming GPS receiver we have developed an anti-jamming algorithm and its Simulink implementation model. The algorithm used here is a form of Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) filter which is well known as an effective way to remove wideband jamming signals. We have chosen Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) block-adaptive beamforming algorithm for our development since it can provide relatively fast convergence speed to reach optimal weights, stable and high suppression capability on various types of jamming signals. We will show modeling results for this MVDR type adaptive beamformer and some simulation results. We also show the integrity of the demodulated satellite signals and the accuracy of resulting navigation solutions after anti-jamming operation.

  • This paper presents an implementation of the adaptive ANC (Active Noise Control) system improving robustness. The system using the proposed algorithm shows a good performance of control, when the adaptive filter well does not work. We construct a real duct system and use DSP chip for experiment. Experimental results of the proposed algorithm prove the system to be superior than the conventional filtered-x LMS algorithm when the adaptive filter is out of order.

  • Introducing and optimizing it-significance to the Hopfield model, ten highly correlated binary images, i.e., numbers "0" to "9", are successfully stored and retrieved in a 6x8 node system. Unlike many other neural networks models, this model has stronger error correction capability for correlated images such as "6", "8", "3", and "9". the bit-significance optimization is regarded as an adaptive learning process based on least-mean-square error algorithm, and may be implemented with another neural nets optimizer. A design for electro-optic implementation including the adaptive optimization networks is also introduced.uding the adaptive optimization networks is also introduced.

  • This paper proposes a design and implementation of transversal adaptive digital filter using LMS (Least Mean Squares) adaptive algorithm. The filter structure is based on Distributed Arithmetic (DA) which is able to calculate the inner product by shifting and accumulating of partial products and storing in look-up table, also the desired adaptive digital filter will be multiplierless filter. In addition, the hardware implementation uses VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) and synthesis using FLEX10K Altera FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) as target technology and uses Leonardo Spectrum and MAX+plusII program for overall development. The results of this design are shown that the speed performance and used area of FPGA. The experimental results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the desired adaptive digital filter.

  • The adaptive wavelet method is studied for the enhancement of computational efficiency of three-dimensional flows. For implementation of the method for three-dimensional Euler equation, wavelet decomposition process is introduced based on the previous two-dimensional adaptive wavelet method. The order of numerical accuracy of an original solver is preserved by applying modified thresholding value. In order to assess the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, the method is applied to the computation of flow field around ONERA-M6 wing in transonic regime with 4th and 6th order interpolating polynomial respectively. Through the application, it is confirmed that the three-dimensional adaptive wavelet method can reduce the computational time while conserving the numerical accuracy of an original solver.

  • In this paper, it is presented a new scheme of adaptive-neuro control system to implement real-time control of robot manipulator using digital Signal Processors. Digital signal processors DSPs. are micro-processors that are particularly developed for variables. Digital version of most advanced control algorithms can be defined as sums and products of measured variables, thus it can be programmed and executed through DSPs. In addition, DSPs are as fast in computation as most 32-bit micro-processors and yet at a fraction of their prices. These features make DSPs a biable computatinal tool in digital implementation of sophisticated controllers. Unlike the well-established theory for the adaptive control of linear systems, there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Adaptive control technique is essential for providing a stable and robust performance for application of robot control. The proposed neuro control algorithm is one of learning a model based error back-propagation scheme using Lyapunov stability analysis method. The proposed adaptive-neuro control scheme is illustrated to be a efficient control scheme for implementation of real-time control of robot system by the simulation and experiment.
