Brazing of Aluminium Nitride(AlN) to Copper with Ag-based Active Filler Metals (은(Ag)계 활성금속을 사용한 질화 알미늄(AlN)과 Cu의 브레이징)

  • Aluminium nitride(AlN) is currently under investigation as potential candidate for replacing alumium oxide(Al$_{2}$ $O_{3}$) as a substrate material for for electronic circuit packaging. Brazing of aluminium nitride(AlN) to Cu with Ag base active alloy containing Ti has been investigated in vacuum. Binary Ag$_{98}$ $Ti_{2}$(AT) and ternary At-1wt.%Al(ATA), AT-1wt.%Ni(ATN), AT-1wt.% Mn(ATM) alloys showed good wettability to AlN and led to the development of strong bond between brate alloy and AlN ceramic. The reaction between AlN and the melted brazing alloys resulted in the formation of continuous TiN layers at the AlN side iterface. This reaction layer was found to increase by increase by increasing brazing time and temperature for all filler metals. The bond strength, measured by 4-point bend test, was increased with bonding temperature and showed maximum value and then decreased with temperature. It might be concluded that optimum thickness of the reaction layer was existed for maximum bond strength. The joint brazed at 900.deg.C for 1800sec using binary AT alloy fractured at the maximum load of 35kgf which is the highest value measured in this work. The failure of this joint was initiated at the interface between AlN and TiN layer and then proceeded alternately through the interior of the reaction layer and AlN ceramic itself.

  • All the resistors in the active RC filter networks cab be replaced by the switched capaciters, The swiftched capacitor is much bet tar than a resistor in temperature and linearity characteristics, and the former can be fabricated on the much smaller silicon area than the latter. In this paper, it is given the generaliged design method of the active SC filter from the active RC filter using Bilinear Z-transformatirm. SC filtering techniques using Bilinear Z-transform enable us to realize the FDNR and Gyrator filters which could not be realized by the exsisting designs 1 and to utilize the processing of signals at much higher frequencies than the conventional design method. Experiments show that the response of the active SC filter is similiar to that of its prototype active RC filler.

Electrochemical Properties of 1,1-Dialkyl-2,5-bis(trimethylsilylethynyl)siloles as Anode Active Material and Solid-state Electrolyte for Lithium-ion Batteries

  • 1,1-Dialkyl-2,5-bis(trimethylsilylethynyl)-3,4-diphenylsiloles (R=Et, i-Pr, n-Hex; 3a-c) were prepared and utilized as anode active materials for lithium-ion batteries; 3a was also used as a filler for the solid-state electrolytes (SSE). Siloles 3a-c were prepared by substitution reactions in which the two bromine groups of 1,1-dialkyl-2,5-dibromo-3,4-diphe- nylsiloles, used as precursors, were substituted with trimethylsilylacetylene in the presence of palladium chloride, copper iodide, and triphenylphosphine in diisopropylamine. Among siloles 3a-c, 3a had the best electrochemical properties as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries, including an initial capacity of 758 mAhg-1 (0.1 A/g), which was reduced to 547 mAhg-1 and then increased to 1,225 mAhg-1 at 500 cycles. A 3a-composite polymer electrolyte (3a-CPE) was prepared using silole 3a as an additive at concentrations of 1, 2, 3, and 4 wt.%. The 2 wt.% 3a-CPE composite afforded an excellent ionic conductivity of 1.09 × 10-3 Scm-1 at 60℃, indicating that silole 3a has potential applicability as an anode active material for lithium-ion batteries, and can also be used as an additive for the SSE of lithium-ion batteries.

  • Gas metal arc welding(GMAW) uses a continuously fed electrode as a filler metal. The arc is shielded from atmospheric contamination by an inert gas active or inert/active gas mixture delivered through the welding gun and cable assembly. The recent research topics on $CO_2$ are welding machines are focused mainly on the reduction method of generated spatter by using new type consumable electrode metal or inverter control method. The various current waveform control methods have been researched for welding performance improvement. Until now current waveform control methods reduce to spatter occurred by instantaneous short circuiting,. but these methods is drawback that no reduce spatter occurred by arc reignition. In this paper the previous arc reignition current control method for welding performance improvement of inverter arc welding machine is studied and compared the various current control methods with the previous arc reignition current control method.

Morphologies of Brazed NiO-YSZ/316 Stainless Steel Using B-Ni2 Brazing Filler Alloy in a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System

  • Joining of NiO-YSZ to 316 stainless steel was carried out with B-Ni2 brazing alloy (3 wt% Fe, 4.5 wt% Si, 3.2 wt% B, 7 wt% Cr, Ni-balance, m.p. 971-$999^{\circ}C$) to seal the NiO-YSZ anode/316 stainless steel interconnect structure in a SOFC. In the present research, interfacial (chemical) reactions during brazing at the NiO-YSZ/316 stainless steel interconnect were enhanced by the two processing methods, a) addition of an electroless nickel plate to NiO-YSZ as a coating or b) deposition of titanium layer onto NiO-YSZ by magnetron plasma sputtering method, with process variables and procedures optimized during the pre-processing. Brazing was performed in a cold-wall vacuum furnace at $1080^{\circ}C$. Post-brazing interfacial morphologies between NiO-YSZ and 316 stainless steel were examined by SEM and EDS methods. The results indicate that B-Ni2 brazing filler alloy was fused fully during brazing and continuous interfacial layer formation depended on the method of pre-coating NiO-YSZ. The inter-diffusion of elements was promoted by titanium-deposition: the diffusion reaction thickness of the interfacial area was reduced to less than 5 ${\mu}m$ compared to 100 ${\mu}m$ for electroless nickel-deposited NiO-YSZ cermet.

  • This paper proposes an analog type Active Power Filter that adapts to the frequency change of a distributed power supply system. The proposed system removes the harmonic currents in the source power by injecting a compensation current that has the same frequency, 180 degree out of phase with the harmonic currents generated by the load. The detection of the harmonics in the source power for creating the compensating current is realized by a PLL(Phase Lock Loop) and a VCGIC(Voltage Controlled Generalized Impedance Converter). The operation of the proposed system is verified by simulation and experiment.

  • Grid connected PV(Photovoltic) generation systems are becoming and actual and general. The power output of PV system is directly affected by the weather conditions. And when AC power supply is needed, power conversion by an inverter and a MPPT control are necessary. The PV power generation system can be treated to a harmonics source for the power distribution system. So, the PV system combined the function of active filter system can be useful applied in power distribution system. AF(Active Filters) intended for harmonic solutions are expending their functions from harmonic compensation of nonlinear loads into harmonic isolation between utilities and consumer. With the test analysis of the proposed control strategy of PV-AF system, the outcome of the test shows the stability and effectiveness of the proposed PV-AF system. The various capability of AF has been proved in previous research and usage. In this paper, authors present a DSP controlled PV-AF system for power conditioning in three-phase industrial or commercial power systems and verify it through experimental results.

  • In this study, active metal brazing methods for $ZrO_2$ and Ti alloy were discussed. To get a successful metal-ceramic bonding, various factors (melting temperature, corrosion, sag resistance, thermal expansion coefficient etc. of base materilas and filler metal) should be considered. Moreover, in order to clarify bonding between the metal and ceramic, the mechanism of the interfacial structure of the joints should be identified. The driving force for the formation of metal and ceramic interfaces is the reduction of the free energy which occurs when their contact becomes complete. Interfacial bonding depends on the material combinations and the bonding processes. This study describes the bonding between ceramic and metal in an active metal brazing.

  • 이 논문에서는 밀폐된 공간 내에서 발생하는 소음을 줄이기 위해 일종의 능동 소음 제어 방법을 발표한다. 제안된 제어방법은 WPFB(Wavelet Packet Filter Bank)를 이용하여 기존의 FXLMS(Filtered-X Least Mean Square) 알고리즘의 단점인, 소음 제어시스템 내에서의 소음전달의 지연으로 인한 불안정성과, 소음의 급작스런 변화에 대한 응답능력부족을 해소하는 방법이다. 이 시스템의 주요 특성은 소음제어 시스템의 이차경로에 WPFB이 삽입되어 FXLMS 알고리즘에 비해 빠른 연산이 수행된다는 것이다. 다른 말로 하면, WPFB는 병렬연산을 수행한다. 그러면, 적응 알고리즘 내에 있는 필터의 웨이트들이 더 빨리 갱신될 것이다. 또한 WPFB는 뛰어난 분해능을 가지고 있어서 아주 미세한 소음까지도 처리해 낼 수가 있다. 이 제어기법의 효율성은 simulation을 통해 증명될 것이다.
