스퍼드빌: 제2언어로서의 영어학습을 위한 마인크래프트 게임 설계 (Spudsville: Designing a Minecraft Game for learning teaching English as a Second Language)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 마인크래프트의 몰입형 게임 환경인 스퍼드빌을 디자인하여 학습자가 영어를 습득할 수 있도록 효과적으로 돕는 것이다. 마인크래프트를 사용하여 성공적인 학습 경험을 만들기 위해, 본 연구에서는 애자일 모델과 디자인 사고 접근법을 채택했다. 우선 학습자들의 요구를 분석하기 위해 광범위한 문헌 검토를 수행하였으며 이후의 분석 단계에서 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 마인크래프트 월드를 설계하고 개발하였다. 연구자들은 인지주의 학습 모델을 스퍼드빌에 적용하면 학습자가 정보를 처리하는 방법에 대한 더 많은 통찰력을 제공할 수 있고 한편으로 구성주의 및 행동주의 접근 방식을 구현하는 것이 또한 이점이 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 마인크래프트 게임을 통하여 영어학습의 효과를 향상시킬 수 있으며 게임기반학습이 언어학습에 도움이 될 수 있는 잠재력을 확인할 수 있었다.

The Moderating Effect of Internal Control on Performance of Cross-Border M&A under the Uncertainty of Economic Policy: Evidence from China

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between internal control, economic policy uncertainty, and performance of cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) based on the panel data of Chinese listed firms. The authors expected that internal control has a positive moderating effect on the performance of cross-border M&A and that it mainly occurs during periods when economic policies are relatively stable. In addition, the authors tried to find out the mechanism of internal control affecting cross-border M&A and the corporate performance. Design/methodology - The authors tested the hypotheses by a multivariate regression model based on the panel data of Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2017. The dependent variable is the change value of business performance (DROA_1,2,3) and the explanatory variables are cross-border M&A (MA), China's uncertainty of economic policy (EPU), and internal control level (IC) respectively. Findings - The authors find that internal control has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between cross-border M&A and corporate performance. Further, the authors find that the moderating effect is more significant in state-owned enterprises and that it mainly occurs during periods when economic policies are relatively stable. Originality/value - This paper is the leading study that tries to analyze empirically the relationship between internal control, economic policy uncertainty, and performance of cross-border M&A. It provides a new avenue through which internal control might reasonably mitigate the risks of cross-border M&A and correspondingly improve the performance of cross-border M&A. It also confirms the moderating effect of internal control on the performance of cross-border M&A under the uncertainty of economic policy.

Innovation Space Driving Business Growth of Semiconductor Enterprises: A Case Study of South Korean Samsung's Investment in China

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the direct and indirect impact of innovation space factors on the growth of semiconductor enterprises. Design/methodology - This empirical study uses the financial statements of 83 semiconductor listed companies in 23 provinces from 2004 to 2019 approved by CSRC (2019). A stepwise regression and backward regression are employed in order to examine the role of innovation space to expand technology investment in promoting business growth and uses South Korean Samsung's investment in China as a test case. Findings - Results indicate that innovation space, technology input, geographical area, owner's background, operating years and financing liabilities all contribute to a boost in business growth. Factors such as carbon emission, financial liberalization, government efficiency, technology input, and financing liabilities further influence management growth. Innovation space follows a nonlinear pattern, and this plays a positive role in magnifying the influence of technology on management growth. Additionally, operations of the state-owned companies and expansionary financing enterprises are influenced by the external economy. Regarding the spatial distribution, the Samsung investment in 24 companies in China shows that Samsung focuses on the acquisition of scarce resources for semiconductor production as a component of its investment and innovation strategy. Originality/value - Even though prior research has considered the concepts studied here, this study contributes to empirically evaluate the direct impact of innovation space on business growth, and the indirect impact of innovation space on business growth through technology investment. This study includes an in-depth discussion of the practical effects that innovation space has on China's economy, using a case of South Korean Samsung's investment in China as a test the empirical findings.

주조공정 설비에 대한 실시간 모니터링을 통한 불량예측에 대한 연구 (A Study on Defect Prediction through Real-time Monitoring of Die-Casting Process Equipment)

  • In the case of a die-casting process, defects that are difficult to confirm by visual inspection, such as shrinkage bubbles, may occur due to an error in maintaining a vacuum state. Since these casting defects are discovered during post-processing operations such as heat treatment or finishing work, they cannot be taken in advance at the casting time, which can cause a large number of defects. In this study, we propose an approach that can predict the occurrence of casting defects by defect type using machine learning technology based on casting parameter data collected from equipment in the die casting process in real time. Die-casting parameter data can basically be collected through the casting equipment controller. In order to perform classification analysis for predicting defects by defect type, labeling of casting parameters must be performed. In this study, first, the defective data set is separated by performing the primary clustering based on the total defect rate obtained during the post-processing. Second, the secondary cluster analysis is performed using the defect rate by type for the separated defect data set, and the labeling task is performed by defect type using the cluster analysis result. Finally, a classification learning model is created by collecting the entire labeled data set, and a real-time monitoring system for defect prediction using LabView and Python was implemented. When a defect is predicted, notification is performed so that the operator can cope with it, such as displaying on the monitoring screen and alarm notification.

Damage and deformation of new precast concrete shear wall with plastic damage relocation

  • To avoid premature damage to the connection joints of a conventional precast concrete shear wall, a new precast concrete shear wall system (NPSW) based on a plastic damage relocation design concept was proposed. Five specimens, including one monolithic cast-in-place concrete shear wall (MSW) as a reference and four NPSWs with different connection details (TNPSW, INPSW, HNPSW, and TNPSW-N), were designed and tested by lateral low-cyclic loading. To accurately assess the damage relocation effect and quantify the damage and deformation, digital image correlation (DIC) and conventional data acquisition methods were used in the experimental program. The concrete cracking development, crack area ratio, maximum residual crack width, curvature of the wall panel, lateral displacement, and deformed shapes of the specimens were investigated. The results showed that the plastic damage relocation design concept was effective; the initial cracking occurred at the bottom of the precast shear wall panel (middle section) of the proposed NPSWs. The test results indicated that the crack area ratio and the maximum residual crack width of the NPSWs were less than those of the MSW. The NPSWs were deformed continuously; significant distortions did not occur in their connection regions, demonstrating the merits of the proposed NPSWs. The curvatures of the middle sections of the NPSWs were lower than that of the MSW after a drift ratio of 0.5%. Among the NPSWs, HNPSW demonstrated the best performance, as its crack area ratio, concrete damage, and maximum residual crack width were the lowest.

Study on the Method of Diagnosing the Individuals Crop Growth Using by Multi-Spectral Images

  • In this study, multispectral images of wheat according to soil water state were collected, compared, and analyzed to measure the physiological response of crops to environmental stress at the individual level. CMS-V multi-spectral camera(Silios Technologies) was used for image acquisition. The camera lens consists of eight spectral bands between 550nm and 830nm. Light Reflective information collected in each band sensor and stored in digital values, and it is converted into a reflectance for calculating the vegetation index and used. According to the camera manual, the NDVI(Normalized Difference vegetation index) value was calculated using 628 nm and 752 nm bands. Image measurement was conducted under natural light conditions, and reflectance standards(Labsphere) were captured with plants for reflectance calculation. The wheat variety used Gosomil, and the wheat grown in the field was transplanted into a pot after heading date and measured. Three treatments were performed so that the soil volumetric water content of the pot was 13~17%, 20~23%, and 25%, and the growth response of wheat according to each treatment was compared using the NDVI value. In the first measurement after port transplantation, the difference in NDVI value according to treatment was not significant, but in the subsequent measurement, the NDVI value of the treatment with a water content of 13 to 17% was lowest and was the highest at 20 to 23%. The NDVI values decreased compared to the first measurement in all treatment, and the decrease was the largest at 13-17% water content and the smallest at 20-23%. Although the difference in NDVI values could be confirmed, it would be difficult to directly relate it to the water stress of plants, and further research on the response of crops to environmental stress and the analysis of multi-spectral image will be needed.

  • 전립선암에서 뼈는 가장 흔한 전이병소이며, 전립선암의 질병 상태를 파악하고 치료 반응을 평가하기 위해서는 전이성 골병변의 평가가 필수적이다. 거세 저항성 전립선암은 남성호르몬을 거세 수치로 떨어뜨렸음에도 불구하고 암이 진행하는 상태를 의미하며, 이 상태에서는 원격 전이가 빈번하게 발생한다. 거세 저항성 전립선암의 치료 반응을 객관적으로 평가하기 위해 뼈스캔을 기반으로 한 Prostate Cancer Working Group 3 (이하 PCWG3) 가이드라인이 발표되었으나 실제 이를 쉽게 숙지하여 적용하기에는 어려운 점이 있다. 본 종설에서 PCWG3 가이드라인에 준한 거세 저항성 전립선암의 뼈스캔 기반 골병변 반응 평가를 위한 구체적인 영상 획득 방법 및 치료 반응 평가법을 소개하고자 한다.

직결장암 조직의 자기공명영상과 초음파 소견에 대한 비교 연구 (In Vitro imaging of MRI and Ultrasound for Colorectal Carcinoma)

  • 목적 : 직결장암 조직의 자기공명영상과 고주파 초음파검사를 시행한 후 종양의 탐지와 침윤 깊이에 대해 각각의 영상 소견과 병리 소견을 비교하여 진단적 정확도를 두 영상 기기 간 비교하고, 자기공명영상의 경우 종양의 침윤 깊이를 주변 정상 조직과 가장 명확히 보여주는 펄스 연쇄 (pulse sequence)에 대해 알아보았다. 대상 및 방법 : 직결장암으로 절제술을 시행한 45명의 환자에서 얻은 45예의 제거된 종양 조직을 수조에 넣고 생리 식염수에 담가서 고주파수 (5-17 MHz)의 선형 탐촉자를 이용하여 초음파영상을 얻었으며 8-channel 두경부 코일에 넣어 자기공명영상을 얻었다. 이 연구에 대하여 기관감사위원회의 공지에 입각한 동의는 면제되었다. 자기공명영상은 정- 및 탈위상 경사에코 T1 강조영상, 급속스핀에코 T2 강조영상 및 이의 지방억제 영상, fast imaging employing steady-state acquisition (FIESTA)와 이의 지방억제영상, 확산강조영상 등 일곱 가지 펄스 연쇄를 시행하였다. 각 조직의 자기공명영상과 초음파영상 소견을 각각 독립적으로 종양의 탐지와 침윤 깊이에 대하여 두 명의 영상의학과 의사가 합의 하에 평가하였고 각각의 영상 소견을 병리 조직 소견과 비교하여 두 영상 기기 간 진단적 정확도를 비교하였다. 자기공명영상의 일곱 가지 펄스 연쇄 중에 종양의 침윤 깊이를 주변 정상 조직과 구분하여 명확히 보여주는 펄스 연쇄에 대해 알아보았다. 결과 : 직결장암 조직의 종양 탐지와 침윤 깊이를 평가하는데 있어 자기공명영상과 초음파의 진단적 정확도는 각각 91.1%와 86.7%로 높게 나타났다. 조기 직결장암의 경우 초음파 검사의 정확도는 87.5%, 자기공명영상 검사의 정확도는 75.0%로 나왔다. 두 영상 기기 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다 (p > 0.05). MR의 펄스 연쇄 중에 종양의 침윤 깊이를 주변 정상 조직과 구분하여 명확하게 보여주는 영상은 직결장암 및 조기 직결장암 모두 급속 스핀에코 T2 강조영상이었다. 결론 : 자기공명영상과 초음파 검사는 직결장암 조직의 종양 탐지와 침윤 깊이를 평가하는데 높은 진단적 정확도를 가지고 있으며, 자기공명영상의 급속스핀에코 T2 강조영상이 직결장암 조직의 종양 침윤 깊이를 평가하는데 가장 우수하였다.

In Vivo and In Vitro Studies of the Steady State Free Precession-Diffusion-Weighted MR Imagings on Low b-value : Validation and Application to Bone Marrow Pathology

  • 목적 : 이 연구는 낮은 b값의 SSFP-확산강조영상에 의한 물분자의 확산 성질 측정이 가능한지를 알기 위한 모형연구를 하고 이 기법이 골수질환에 적용이 가능한 가를 아는 것이 목적이다. 재료 및 방법: 모형 연구:순수한 물로 구성된 모형에서 확산강조 영상을 시행하였다. 섭씨 3도, 23도 그리고 63도의 순수한 물로 구성된 모형에서 SSFP 확산강조영상과 echo plannar imaging (EPI) 확산강조영상 (b값: $1000s/mm^2$)을 모두 시행하여 각각에서 신호 대 잡음 비 (SNR; signal to noise ratio)와 확산계수를 얻었다. 임상 연구 : 10명의 천골 부족 골절, 10명의 골다공증에 의한 급성 요추 압박골절, 그리고 전이암에 의한 요추 압박골절 8명에서 각각 SSFP 확산강조영상을 시행하였다. SSFP 확산 강조영상 외 확산계수를 측정하기 위해 single shot stimulated echo-acquisition mode sequence 를 이용한 확산강조영상을 시행하였다. 결과: 모형연구에서 EPI 확산 강조영상뿐만 아니라 SSFP 확산강조영상에서 물의 온도가 증가됨에 따라 신호강도의 감소를 보였다. EPI-확산계수 영상에서 확산계수 값은 3도의 물은 $0.13{\times}10^{-3}mm^2/s$, 23도는 $0.22{\times}10^{-3}mm2/s$ 그리고 63도에서 $0.37{\times}10^{-3}mm^2/s$를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 SSFP 기법은 비록 낮은 b 값을 가지지만 확산 강조 영상으로 확신된다. SSFP 확산강조영상에서 모든 천골 부족 골절과 골다공증 척추 압박골절은 높은 확산계수를 의미하는 저신호강도를 전이암에 의한 압박골절은 낮은 확산 값을 나타내는 고신호 강도를 보였다. 결론 : SSFP 확산강조영상에서 다른 확산계수를 가진 골수질환이 영상화 되었으며 모든 양성골절은 주위 정상 골수에 비해 저신호강도, 악성 종양에 의한 골절은 고신호강도로 관찰되었다.

AZ3l 마그네슘 합금의 고온 크리이프 변형특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Creep Deformation Characteristic of AZ31 Mg Alloy at High Temperature)

  • The apparent activation energy Qc, the applied stress exponent n, and rupture life have been determined from creep test results of AZ31 Mg alloy over the temperature range of 200$^{\circ}C$ to 300$^{\circ}C$ and the stress range of 23.42 MPa to 93.59 MPa, respectively, in order to investigate the creep behavior. Constant load creep tests were carried out in the equipment including automatic temperature controller with data acquisition computer. At the temperature of $200^{\circ}C{\sim}220^{\circ}C$ and under the stress level of 62.43~93.59 MPa, and at around the temperature of $280^{\circ}C{\sim}300^{\circ}C$ and under the stress level of 23.42~39.00 MPa, the creep behavior obeyed a simple power-law relating steady state creep rate to applied stress and the activation energy fur the creep deformation was nearly equal to that of the self diffusion of Mg alloy including aluminum From the above results, at the temperature of $200^{\circ}C{\sim}220^{\circ}C$ the creep deformation for AZ31 Mg alloy seemed to be controlled by dislocation climb but controlled by dislocation glide at $280^{\circ}C{\sim}300^{\circ}C$ .And relationship beween rupture time and stress at around the temperature of $200^{\circ}C{\sim}220^{\circ}C$ and under the stress level of 62.43~93.59 MPa, and again at around the temperature of $280^{\circ}C{\sim}300^{\circ}C$ and under the stress level of 23.42~39.00 MPa, respectively, appeard as fullow; log$\sigma$=-0.18(T+460)(logtr+21)+5.92, log$\sigma$ = -0.25(T+460)(logtr+21)+8.02 Also relationship beween rupture time and steady state creep rate appears as follow; ln$\dot$ =-0.881ntr-2.45
