  • Tracking and exploiting instantaneous spectrum opportunities are fundamental challenges in opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) in presence of the bursty traffic of primary users and the limited spectrum sensing capability of secondary users. In order to take advantage of the history of spectrum sensing and access decisions, a sequential decision framework is widely used to design optimal policies. However, many existing schemes, based on a partially observed Markov decision process (POMDP) framework, reveal that optimal policies are non-stationary in nature which renders them difficult to calculate and implement. Therefore, this work pursues stationary OSA policies, which are thereby efficient yet low-complexity, while still incorporating many practical factors, such as spectrum sensing errors and a priori unknown statistical spectrum knowledge. First, with an approximation on channel evolution, OSA is formulated in a multi-armed bandit (MAB) framework. As a result, the optimal policy is specified by the wellknown Gittins index rule, where the channel with the largest Gittins index is always selected. Then, closed-form formulas are derived for the Gittins indices with tunable approximation, and the design of a reinforcement learning algorithm is presented for calculating the Gittins indices, depending on whether the Markovian channel parameters are available a priori or not. Finally, the superiority of the scheme is presented via extensive experiments compared to other existing schemes in terms of the quality of policies and optimality.

  • The DBS system is being highlighted as actual area for the information societics. Specially, the DBS have been proposed very useful system to access the broading service in more widely sea. But the antenna tracking system for maritime DBS receiving is requried complicated control system because of the those complex motion represented pitching, rolling and yowing etc. Our resesrch target is a development of tracking system to the KOREASEA(MUGUNGWHA-1,2) for the applicated small size shipping. So our development focus was concentrated the two development direction. The first focus was represented low-cost system for popularization of small-size shipping around sea of the Korea peninsula. The second focus was an adaptive possibilities with domestic eqdupiment which was developed satellite receiving for KOREASAT. The anntenna mount is designed a compact size and easy operation use to the Az/El 2-axis type which is operated by step motor. And this mount type is very useful on a ship in the near sea of Korea peninsula. Basic tracking method is used th step-tracking algorithm, and the ship's moving compensation is adapted to the closed loop control method by ship's moving detection of gyro sensor. Control part is consists of converter, countertime, VCO, micro-computer and it's software. • One of the causes of many damage cases that occur today by hacking attack is social engineering attack. The attacker is usually a malicious traitor or an ignorant insider. As a solution, we are strengthening security training for all employees in the organization. Nevertheless, there are frequent situations in which computers are shared. In this case, the person in charge of the computer has difficulty in tracking and responding when a specific representative accessed and what a specific representative did. In this paper, we propose the method that the person in charge of the computer tracks in real time through the smartphone when a representative access the computer, when a representative access offline using hacked or shared authentication. Also, we propose a method to prevent the leakage of important information by encrypting and backing up important files of the PC through the smartphone in case of abnormal access.

  • A Wireless Access for Vehicular Environment (WAVE) system based on Orthogonal frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is made for vehicle to vehicle wireless communications. The physical layer standard of the WAVE system is very similar to that of the IEEE802.1la wireless local area network (WLAN). Therefore, the performance of the WAVE system is degraded by continual timing delay in the WAVE multipath fading channels after starting initial timing synchronization. In this paper, the tracking algorithm that synchronizes symbol timing is proposed to continually compensate additional timing delay. Computer simulation of the proposed algorithm is performed in the worst communication environments that apply to maximum timing delay. Computer simulation shows that the proposed algorithm can improve the system performance in various channel conditions.

  • In order to provide the real time and proper information to the pedestrian who is using the transport connection and transfer center through data collecting and processing process, the design of the test-bed (Gimpo airport)'s communication construction and the technology of the pedestrian location tracking has been researched. The design of the communication construction should make sure that it can provide believable data to the user of the transfer center. At the same time, the location tracking should also be considered, so that the require of the communication efficiency and the location tracking efficiency can be met together. In order to make the efficient location tracking technology, the problems related to the commercial technology based real time location identification will be resolved and the new approach method was proposed and be applied and analysed to the test-bed. The wireless access points can be located in the most real-world situation which has added the characteristics of the real building to the electronic map, and through the analysis of theirs location, they can be set as the mainly necessary points for the communication construction design and the location tracking and the method to locate that points has been proposed. How to set, how to apply it to the test-bed and the examination result will be introduced in this paper.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System) location tracking is a method for taking the precise coordinates after the coordinates are obtained by a GPS receiver, and displaying them on the map. In this paper with WAVE(Wireless Access for Vehicular Environment) simulation, we show that various services such as vehicle tracking service, real-time road conditions service and logistics can go tracking service, control and operation services according to the vehicle position and the traveling direction by using the GPS position data. A vehicle tracking system using GPS is automatically able to manage multiple RCP when exchanging data between RMA and the RCP, and it provides rapid requests and responses. To verify that multiple sessions between RMA and RM, as well as multiple sessions between RMA and RCP are able to be implemented, we take RMA as a RCP application on an OBU, until the RMA is receiving data response from corresponding RM. As a result of this experiment, we show that the response speeds of single session between RMA and RM using 1, 2, 3, and 4 kbyte unit data are similar, 62.32ms, 62.65ms, 63.02ms, and 63.48ms, respectively. Likewise, those of 128 muliple sessions using 1, 2, 3, and 4 kbyte unit data are not much more time difference, 298.08ms, 302.21ms, 322.85ms, and 329.62ms, respectively.

  • The water deer (Hydropotes inermis) is one of the most primitive extant deer of the family Cervidae. Unlike Chinese water deer, Korean water deer have rarely been studied, even though they have relatively well remained in Korea. In particular, the home range of the Korean water deer has not yet been studied. Here we estimated the home range of the Korean water deer using two different methods (GPS and radio tracking) and analyzed the home range according to sex, time, and season. The mean home range size of four individuals was 2.77 $km^2$ and 0.34 $km^2$ under the 95% minimum convex polygon (MCP) and the 50% kernel (K) method, respectively. There seemed to be a difference in home range size between males (3.30 $km^2$) and females (2.25 $km^2$) under the 95% MCP method. We also found a difference in home range size between day (1.90 $km^2$) and night (2.43 $km^2$) by 95% MCP method. In addition, a home range size difference was observed between summer (4.65 $km^2$) and spring (0.48 $km^2$) or fall (0.85 $km^2$) using the 95% MCP method. Water deer seemed to have a larger home range in night than in day, and males also have a larger home range. We presumed that the GPS tracking method of the code division multiple access system could be a very useful tool for understanding the ecology of the water deer using the radio tracking method. Using these tracking methods and through future research, we can better understand the habitat use pattern of these water deer.
