To evaluate insulating properties of polyimide thin film on high temperature over $100\;^{\circ}C$, polyimide film were prepared by electrophoretic deposition onto metal surface from nonaqueous emulsion. The emulsion is made by adding a solution of the resin to a precipitant, which is an organic liquid compeltely miscible with the solvent of the organic resin solution, but which does not dissolve the resin. The polyimide film obtained by annealing shows good insulation properties of 5.8 MV/cm at elevated temperature and breakdown strength of the film reveals thickness dependence.
In this research, an organic thin 13 passivation layer was newly adopted to prefect the organic layer from ambient moisture and oxygen. As the organic thin film passivation layer, poly methyl methacrylate thin films (ppMMA) were deposited using a plasma polymerization technique. In order to their passivation performance for OLEDs, water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of the ppMMAs were analyzed and luminance-current-voltage (L-I-V)/luminance-time (L-T) characteristics of the OLEDs with and without ppMMA passivation layer were investigated. The OLEDs had a structure of ITO/TPD (HTL)/Alq3(EML&ETL)/Al. The OLED with ppMMA passivation layer showed improved L-T performance than that of without ppMMA passivation layer.
In order to develop the economic and environmental water-soluble black coloring agent, some adequate chemical mixtures were mixed and this solution was applied to coat quenched and tempered 51B20 steel bolt. Some basic properties of the solution and characteristics of the coated film in addition to the corrosion resistance were investigated. The developed 100 kg of water-soluble black coloring agent solution was a chemical mixture consisted of 10 kg of aqueous coloring agent, 40 kg of surface active agent, 0.3 kg of anti-foam agent and $50{\ell}$ of water. The coated film of the bolt was composed of hard layer of about $2{\mu}m$ and the disbondable soft layer of about $4{\mu}m$ above the hard layer. Many surface active agents peaks and a few hydrophilic peaks were observed in the coated film. Surface roughness value of the coated bolt was lower than that of the non-coated bolt. Corrosion resistance of the coated bolt considerably improved and also relatively showed a good polarization resistance at test condition of $40^{\circ}C$ colorizing temperature and 5% the solution concentration in 3% NaCl anodic polarization test. Initial appearance time of the surface rust was greatly retarded owing to the coated film in salt spray test.
Lanthanum aluminate($LaAlO_3$) film has been prepared on single crystal and metal substrates by dip coating method. Lanthanum acetate and aluminum were prepared via ligand exchange starting from lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate and aluminum nitrate hexahydrate in acetate glacial acetic acid solution after being refluxed. Coating solution was obtained by diluting the gel with methanol and 2-methoxyethanol to adjust the total cation concentration to 0.67 M. Precursor coated film was prepared by dip-coating with a speed of 25 mm/min on various substrates such as $LaAlO_3$ (001), MgO(001), $SrTiO_3$(001) single crystal, LMO/MgO/Ni-alloy. Thin films have been obtained by heat treating the precursor film at various temperatures from $600^{\circ}C{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ and various heating rate from $0.83^{\circ}C/min{\sim}1.25^{\circ}C/min$ under $Ar/O_2$ mixture containing 1000ppm oxygen. The films have been characterized by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). XRD analysis for the prepared film showed that $LaAlO_3$ thin films with a preferred orientation of (100) plane parallel to substrate surface were obtained at $800^{\circ}C(1.11\;^{\circ}C/min)$ on LMO/MgO/Ni-alloy substrate, but the intensity decreased with the increase of heat treatment temperature.
The differences between floating and grounded body effects in polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistors (polysilicon TFTs) are investigated by making a body contact. The
floating body effects such as kink effect, subthreshold slope change, and body current
characteristics are explained and modeled by impact ionization, which causes source body turn on, and activates the parasitic bipolar junction transistors (BJTs). These effects become crucial for channel lengths of 4㎛ or shorter. Our data show that making a body contact reduces kink effects significantly and identifies impact ionization mechanism in polysilicon TFTs.

Cu/C films were prepared at room temperature under $Cu(hfac)_2-Ar-H_2$ atmosphere in order to obtain metallized polymer by using ECR-MOCVD(Electron Cyclotron Resonance Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) coupled with a DC bias system. The room temperature MOCVD on polymer substrate could be possible by collaboration of ECR and a DC bias. Structural analysis of the films by ECR was found that fine copper grains embedded in an amorphous polymer matrix with indistinctive interfacial layer. The increase in $H_2$ contents brought on copper-rich film formation with low electric resistance. On the other hand carbon-rich films with low sheet electric resistance were prepared in argon atmosphere. The electric sheet resistance of Cu/C films with good interfacial property were controlled at $10^8$~$10^0$ Ohm/sq. ranges by the $H_2$/Ar mole ratio and the shielding effectiveness of the film showed maximum up to 45dB in the our experimental range.

Hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon(${\mu}c$-Si:H) films were prepared using inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition(ICP-CVD) method, electrical and optical properties of these films were studied as a function of silane concentration. And then, effect of $PH_3\;and\;B_2H_6$ addition on their electrical properties was also investigated for solar cell application. Characterization of these films from X-ray diffraction revealed that the conductive film exists in microcrystalline phase embedded in an amorphous network. At $PH_3/SiH_4$ gas ratio of $0.9{\times}10^{-3}$, dark conductivity has a maximum value of ${\sim}18.5S/cm$ and optical bandgap also a maximum value of ${\sim}2.39eV$. Boron-doped ${\mu}c$-Si:H films, satisfied with p-layer of solar cell, could be obtained at ${\sim}10^{-2}\;of\;B_2H_6/SiH_4$.
$TiO_2-Nb_2O_5$ thin films are fabricated by Sol-Gel method and their electrical properties have been investigated. The crystalline form is amorphous under $400^{\circ}C$ and is anatase over $500^{\circ}C$. The surface conductivity of films is higher that of $500^{\circ}C$ than that of $600^{\circ}C$.
Among the developed bio-degradable polymer films as compared with transparent film(White), black polymer film was significantly more effective for controlling weeds in red pepper. Also, we found that white and black polymer mulching had 81.8% and 97.9% of managing weed controlling effects in rice, respectively. Compared to non-mulched rice paddy with water supply, the non-mulched rice paddy without any water supply has stopped its growth at 41 days after transplanting, while polymer-mulched rice paddy without water supply had about 60% of normally growing rice plants. This shows the polymer treatment has a remarkable effect on water and power saving, solution of herbicidal resistance, avoidance of herbicidal influence to eco-system etc. When the naturally decomposing polymer was used, a temperature was elevated as high as $4.7^{\circ}C$ on maximum and $2.6^{\circ}C$ on average. Also the naturally decomposing polymer accelerated rooting by 7 days and lowered a stress level from transplanting. The weed control effect mulched by polymer was remarkable as 98.7%. The polymer now, after 294 days treated on the rice paddy, has been completely decomposed.
In this paper, thin films of PI were fabricated VDPM of dry processes which are easy to control the film's thickness and hard to pollute due to volatile solvents. From FT-IR, PAA thin films fabricated by VDP were changed to PI thin films by thermal curing. From AFM and ellipsometer experimental, the higher curing temperature is, the films thickness decreases and reflectance increases. Therefore, PI could be fabricated stable by increasing curing temperature.
