  • In this paper, we propose a method to select motion vector predictor by considering prediction structure of a multi view content for coding efficiency of multi view coding which is being standardized in JVT. Motion vector of a different tendency is happened while carrying out temporal and view reference prediction of multi-view video coding. Also, due to the phenomena of motion vectors being searched in both temporal and view order, the motion vectors do not agree with each other resulting a decline in coding efficiency. This paper is about how the motion vector predictor are selected with information of prediction structure. By using the proposed method, a compression ratio of the proposed method in multi-view video coding is increased, and finally $0.03{\sim}0.1$ dB PSNR(Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) improvement was obtained compared with the case of JMVM 3.6 method.

  • Lee Sang, a poet and a architect, made new experimental poems that was influenced by quantum mechanics and theory of relativity that were published in the early 1900's, and he showed his new view of the world that transcended time and space limit through his poems. In this essay, I studied and analyzed on the links between his view of the world and modern design view with as the central figure his text, 'A Written Promise of The Line' The result is that he fellow the cyclic world view which the world consisted of cycles within cycles, of immense duration and the scientific view of the world which the universe and me are one flesh.

  • In this paper, performance improved hole-filling algorithm which includes the boundary noise removing pre-process that can be used for an arbitrary virtual view synthesis has been proposed. Boundary noise occurs due to the boundary mismatch between depth and texture images during the 3D warping process and it usually causes unusual defects in a generated virtual view. Common-hole is impossible to recover by using only a given original view as a reference and most of the conventional algorithms generate unnatural views that include constrained parts of the texture. To remove the boundary noise, we first find occlusion regions and expand these regions to the common-hole region in the synthesized view. Then, we fill the common-hole using the spiral weighted average algorithm and the gradient searching algorithm. The spiral weighted average algorithm keeps the boundary of each object well by using depth information and the gradient searching algorithm preserves the details. We tried to combine strong points of both the spiral weighted average algorithm and the gradient searching algorithm. We also tried to reduce the flickering defect that exists around the filled common-hole region by using a probability mask. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs much better than the conventional algorithms.

  • A manifold is used to represent a relationship between high-dimensional data samples in low-dimensional space. In human pose estimation, it is created in low-dimensional space for processing image and 3D body configuration data. Manifold learning is to build a manifold. But it is vulnerable to silhouette variations. Such silhouette variations are occurred due to view-change, person-change, distance-change, and noises. Representing silhouette variations in a single manifold is impossible. In this paper, we focus a silhouette variation problem occurred by view-change. In previous view invariant pose estimation methods based on manifold learning, there were two ways. One is modeling manifolds for all view points. The other is to extract view factors from mapping functions. But these methods do not support one by one mapping for silhouettes and corresponding body configurations because of unsupervised learning. Modeling manifold and extracting view factors are very complex. So we propose a method based on triple manifolds. These are view manifold, pose manifold, and body configuration manifold. In order to build manifolds, we employ biased manifold learning. After building manifolds, we learn mapping functions among spaces (2D image space, pose manifold space, view manifold space, body configuration manifold space, 3D body configuration space). In our experiments, we could estimate various body poses from 24 view points.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the ethical values of dental hygiene students and set up the way of ethic educationin educational course. Methods: The subjects in this study were 948 students in four colleges located in the metropolitan area, on whom a survey was conducted. Results : 1. Regarding values of human life, they got a mean of 3.01, which showed that they sort of took a deontological view. 2. As to values of dental hygiene duties, they got a mean of 3.62, which indicated that they took a deontological view. 3. Concerning values of clients, they got a mean of 3.22, which implied that they took a deontological view. 4. As for values of collaborators, they got a mean of 3.90, which denoted that they took a very deontological view. 5. In regard to correlation among each part of their ethical values, there was a very significant correlation between their views of dental hygiene duties and human life, and between their views of clients and collaborators(p<.001). 6. As to the relationship of general characteristics to ethical values, they took a significantly different view of human life according to academic year(p<.05), religion(p<.001), religious enthusiasm(p<.0010) and attitude to the occupation of dental hygienist(p<.001). Academic year Conclusions : Regardings ethical values of dental hygiene students which showed that they took a deontological view than autilitarianism view in all parts. Accordingly, In order to establish desirable ethical values, it was scrutinized that reinforcement of education on biomedical ethics and professional ethics in curriculum was needed.

  • Materialized views which are stored views of the database offer opportunities for significant performance gain in query valuation by providing fast access to pre-computed data. The question of when and how to use a materialized view in processing a given query is a difficult one attracting a significant amount of research. Whether a materialized view can be used in answering a query depends on the relationship between the view and the query. Proposed in this paper are new ways of utilizing materialized views in answering a query. Semantic relationships are used in addition to syntactic ones. We also utilize a materialized view in answering a query even if it has relations unrelated to the query. We first show the conditions for testing whether a materialized view can be utilized in answering a query and then present the algorithms for testing the conditions and reformulating a query with a materialized view.

  • ACE (Advanced Collaboration Environment) [1] aims to provide people to have remote collaboration as they are in the same Space. To provide tele-presence in remote collaboration, quality of audio and sharing of view which can show overall environment. Visual Sharing focuses on providing interactive view sharing among remote participants. A user can see remote collaboration space from any direction and can share his working screen view with others. In this paper, we summarize the development plan of Visual Sharing and relevant elementary techniques for developing Visual Sharing.

  • 3D stereo display systems gain more interests recently. Multiple-view autostereoscopic display system enables observers to watch stereo image from multiple viewpoints not wearing specific devices such as shutter glasses or HMD. Therefore, the Multiple-view autostereoscopic display is being spotlighted in the field of virtual reality, mobile, 3D TV and so on. However, one of the critical disadvantages of the system is that observer can enjoy the system only in a small designated area where the system is designed to work properly. This research provides an effective way of GPU based rendering technique to present seamless 3D stereo experiences from an arbitrary observer's view position.

  • Architectural design guideline of Korea prescribed that district unit plan was established for development over fixed scale since 2000 and it was based on the intention to make district view contextually. But, it was not applicable to practice and as a result of research, setting of district image was not clear when development of district unit plan was completed and elements and contents of district unit plan for embodying it were finite or theoretical. In addition, architectural design neglected contextual view of the whole district based on district unit plan and was inclined to individual view within district, and architectural deliberation was also inclined to individual view within the district rather than contextual view rather than contextual view. Therefore, district unit plan requires decision of element and range as design management for setting image and embodying it when development is completed and architectural design or deliberation must be also premised on district view.

  • Satellite contamination from back-scattered molecules has long been analyzed using the BGK theory or the DSMC technique which are rather inefficient in that they are complicated or take a long time in the analysis. This study presents a new technique of estimating the back-scattering contamination, which is very simple and easy to use like the view factor method and also very accurate. This method, called the modified view factor method, is equivalent to the DSMC in so far as the molecular thermal velocity is much smaller than the satellite velocity and the mean free path much longer than the satellite.
