  • In order to prevent illegal video copies, many video fingerprints have been developed. Video fingerprints should be robust from various video transformations and have high discriminative powers. In general, video fingerprints are generated from three feature spaces such as luminance, gradient, and DCT coefficients. However, there is a few study for the robustness and discrimination according to feature spaces. Thus, we analyzed the property of each feature space by video copy detion task with the robustness and the discrimination of video fingerprints. We generated three video fingerprints from these feature spaces using a same algorithm. In our test, a video fingerprint. based on DCT coefficient outperformed others because the discrimination of it was higher.

  • Recently, as the number of landscaping plant nurseries have increased, environmental problems such as topographical damage due to indiscriminate changes in land use, increased non-point pollution, and increased impervious areas are also occurring. In this study, we propose eco-friendly facilities and a detailed maintenance manual that can enhance the eco-friendliness and scenic beauty of landscaping plant nurseries that are increasingly located near cities. By exploring previous reports on eco-friendly facilities and related laws, we cataloged the types of eco-friendly facilities, and by referring to examples of eco-friendly facilities introduced in overseas cases and the environmental functions of agriculture, we cataloged the types of eco-friendly facilities suitable for introduction in plant nurseries. The selected facilities are rain gardens, tree boxes, vegetated filter beds, bio-retention, infiltration trench, infiltration tanks, permeable pavements, and sand filtration systems. The maintenance tasks of eco-friendly facilities were categorized and management plans were proposed, which is expected to be utilized as a basic data to prepare eco-friendly space planning and operation management plans when creating a landscape plant nurseries in the future.

  • There were only a few reports of mercury on pulmonary artery. However, there is no data on surgery related mercury dissemination. The objective of the present article is to describe one case of postoperative injected mercury dissemination. A 19-year-old man presented severe neck pain including meningeal irritation sign and abdominal pain after injection of mercury for the purpose of suicide. Radiologic study showed injected mercury in the neck involving high cervical epidural space and subcutaneous layer of abdomen. Partial hemilaminectomy and open mercury evacuation of spinal canal was performed. For the removal of abdominal subcutaneous mercury, C-arm guided needle aspiration was done. After surgery, radiologic study showed disseminated mercury in the lung, heart, skull base and low spinal canal. Neck pain and abdominal pain were improved after surgery. During 1 month after surgery, there was no symptom of mercury intoxication except increased mercury concentration of urine, blood and hair. We assumed the bone work during surgery might have caused mercury dissemination. Therefore, we recommend minimal invasive surgical technique for removal of injected mercury. If open exposures are needed, cautious surgical technique to prohibit mercury dissemination is necessary and normal barrier should be protected to prevent the migration of mercury.

  • Pathologic attrition leads to pathologic damage on occlusal plane, functional disorders, occlusal disharmony, esthetic problems, pulpal lesion, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. In this case, treatment plan should be considered for possibility of vertical dimension loss, occlusal pattern, esthetics, phonetics, amount of vertical dimension increase. This case report was a 71-year-old man who had severely worn dentition. Full mouth rehabilitation was carried out with vertical dimension increase due to limited space for prosthesis. After evaluation of provisional restorations for patient's compliance, final restorations were fabricated and routine clinical assessments were made. This case presents that a satisfactory clinical result was achieved by restoring the worn dentition.

  • The study ooramed has the meanngs as a goal, to examine a character and changes of function a "Maru" in the literatures historically. Methodically the literatures in the temporal oonsequences were selected, and the "Maru", whidl oomes into it, was interpreted in its historical oonnections. By the investigation I oould oome to the following results. First of all, those terms "Maru" and "Daechll1Q" were cfifferently used after the sizes and p1ares of the spaces concerned. I.e, the "Maru" in the center of the house is called "Daed1ung", With the Maru does not concern actually its p1are, Secondly, the functions of the spare "Maru" are characterized as follows. ·Space for the important ceremonies ·Spare for the passage and the switching of two or several spaces. ·Determination of the hierardly of spares in the whole house. ·Spare for the receipt. ·Spare for sleeping and for living. ·Spare for work, storage etc. Thirdly, the meanings of the "Maru" were dlanged as follows in the time. ·The term "Man! was used from the past to today without interrujjion. Arot.l1d 1930 the tenns "Yangsil" and "Geosil" for the tenn "Maru" were emerged. ·The different dlaraderistics for the space "Maru" are found in the cortemporary literatures only rare. This thing explains itself by the fad that the "Maru" becomes the inner-spare after 1900 by the restructuring of the dwelling spares.hing explains itself by the fad that the "Maru" becomes the inner-spare after 1900 by the restructuring of the dwelling spares.

  • This study deals with the development of wire path searching module as a part of automobile wire harness design system. Wire path searching module manages the free space, finds transition locations, and creates bundle paths to dramatically reduce a tedious iterative routing process which results in easy optimization of the bundle paths. A prime policy in the system configuration is to compromise between man's and computer's ability, and make it possible a designer's leading role in designing process. Human input is indispensable to cope with the special cases which were not considered in the initial design stage of the system. In this study, we improve the previous shortest-path-finding algorithm, (VGraph and RCA method) into a new method called Extended RCA. Bundles, connectors and transitions are handled as objects so one can manage and modify physical properties of the objects easily. Therefore a verification is allowed at any desired stage of design. The reuse of previous result is facilitated by using Dependency Structure, which represents the mutual relations among connectors, transitions, and bundles. Dependency Structure makes it possible the elimination of redundant calculating process, and consequently shorter routing time.
