Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) can be utilized in energy-effective paper production. Limestone is a raw material for synthesizing PCC. Since the PCC production yield depends on the physicochemical properties of the limestone, a basic investigation of the raw limestone is required. This study provides a brief review of the origin of limestone, limestone distribution characteristics, and limestone deposits in Korea and Vietnam. Most limestones in Korea were formed in the Paleozoic era. On the other hand, limestones in Vietnam have various ages from the Precambrian to the Triassic. Limestone is the most largely produced mineral in Korea, but Vietnam has 5 times more amount of limestone reserves than Korea.

본 연구는 국내 질병지각 연구의 동향을 알아보기 위한 체계적 문헌고찰로서 질병지각 연구의 특성을 확인하고 이와 관련된 요인 간의 관계를 파악하였다. 2019년 5월까지 국내 학술지에 발표된 논문 10편을 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 포함된 논문 모두 상관관계 조사연구로, 평균 대상자 수는 175명이었으며, 혈액투석, 폐결핵, 암 등의 질병을 대상으로 하였다. 질병지각 측정 도구로는 Illness Perception Questionnaire-Revised (IPQ-R)를 사용한 연구가 3편(30%), Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ)를 사용한 연구가 7편(70%)이었고, BIPQ를 사용한 연구는 모두 총점을 이용하여 대상자의 질병지각을 분석하였다. 질병지각과 관련된 요인으로는 우울, 삶의 질, 자가관리, 사회적 지지 등이 연구되었으며, 그 중 사회적 지지가 가장 높은 빈도로 대상자의 질병지각과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 추후 다양한 질병군을 대상으로 질병지각 개별 영역에 대한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것으로 보이며, 질병지각을 고려한 중재프로그램을 개발해야 할 필요성이 있다.

We provide a brief overview of the area of speaker recognition, describing underlying techniques and current market review. We describe the techniques mainly based on GMM(gaussian mixture model) that is the most prevalent and effective approach. Following the technical overview, we will outline the market review of the area inside and outside of the country.

Current collection performance on-line tests for a Korean High Speed Train being developed in G7 project is scheduled to start in June, 2002. In this paper, preparatory efforts for measuring contact forces which is regarded as one of major measuring items in the test are introduced. Specifically speaking, review of frequencies related with contact force fluctuations, brief of contact force measuring algorithm, review of measuring instrument specifications and development of a data acquisition program are presented.

Aneurysmal bone cysts of rib continue to interest the clinicians because of their rarity. We experienced a case of aneurysmal bone cyst of Rt 10th rib, which was occupying the Rt pleural cavity as a huge mass. This case was treated surgically with good result. In addition, general concept of aneurysmal bone cyst with brief review of literatures was disclosed here.

A case of lingual thyroid in 10 years old girl is presented with the use of radioactive iodine ($^{113}I$) and the scintigram for the diagnostic evaluation. A brief review of literature on the incidence, etiology and-development, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment of the lingual thyroid was done.

Wavelets constitute a new orthogonal system which has direct application in density estimation. We introduce a brief wavelet density estimation and summarize some asymptotic results. An application to mixture normal distributions is implemented with S-Plus.

This brief review is organized to integrate methodology of carotenoids chemistry from the author's experimental conceps. The majors include classification of carotenoids. extraction·phase separation, purification. crystalyzation, identification, quantitation, spectroscopic properties, organic reactions, and analytical methods of carotenoproteins. The goal is not write a important conceps of carotenoid but to provide a technical methods that may be useful to researchers of natural products chemistry.
