A bifurcation problem for nonlinear partial differential equations of the form $$div({\varphi}(|{\nabla}u|){\nabla}u+{\mu}_0{\varphi}(|u|)u=q({\lambda},\;x,\;u,\;{\nabla}u)$$ subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions is discussed. Using a global bifurcation theorem of Rabinowitz type, we show that under certain conditions on $\varphi$ and q, the above equation has an unbounded connected set of solutions (u, $\lambda$).

The u-City is next generation IT-City which is to enhance the quality of life and convenience of life base on merger up-to-date communication infrastructure with u-IT services. To realize u-City, intelligent building is built for citizens to make a space of comfortable life. The intelligent building is possible to be constructed by communication infrastructure for various U-services. This paper mentions the ranges of communication infrastructure and shows how to construct it each range through regulation, law and technical. Lastly, the topics are suggested to build successfully u-City constructions in Korea.

In this paper, we are concerned with the following eigenvalue problems of m-point boundary value problem for p-Laplacian dynamic equation on time scales $(\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(t)))^\nabla+{\lambda}h(t)f(u(t))=0,\;t\in(0,T)$, $u(0)=0,\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(T))=\sum\limits_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(\xi_i))$, where $\varphi_p(u)=|u|^{p-2}$u, p > 1 and $\lambda$ > 0 is a real parameter. Under certain assumptions, some new results on existence of one or two positive solution and nonexistence are obtained for $\lambda$ evaluated in different intervals. Our work develop and improve many known results in the literature even for the continual case. In doing so the usual restriction that $f_0=lim_{u{\rightarrow}0}+f(u)/\varphi_p(u)$ and $f_\infty = lim_{u{\rightarrow}{\infty}}f(u)/\varphi_p({u})$ exist is removed. As an applications, an example is given to illustrate the main results obtained.

The evolution of u-Gov will play a big impact due to the development of information and communication technology. The evolution plays as a critical mean for the government innovation which pursues the value of new administration. In this paper, through an analysis of the difference between e-Gov and u-Gov, I suggested the composition of prototype system of u-public transit application services which can be applied to u-Gov. I also studied the method for removing unstable elements of e-Gov which may occur when the prototype is implemented and the implications of the its UT-based policy for responding to u-public transit.

In a fixed bed reactor, adsorption capacity of $SO_2$ in simulated flue gases was investigated with NMO(natural manganese ore), composed of various metal oxides, iron ore and $CuO/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ as adsorbents. The experiment carried out in a fluidized bed reactor with variables such as gas velocity, temperature and particle size. Iron ore was excluded in the fluidized bed reactor experiment for the lower adsorption capacity. The adsorption of $SO_2$ in metal oxide is a typical chemisorption because the adsorption capacity of all adsorbents increased with temperature. The effect of particle size on the adsorption capacity was varied with the ratio, $U_o/U_{mf}$ and the difference of $U_o-U_{mf}$. $U_o$ is the gas velocity, $U_{mf}$ is the minimum fluidization gas velocity. $U_o/U_{mf}$ and $U_o-U_{mf}$ explain the behavior of the gas and solids in the fluidized bed reactor. From the performance equation of the fluidized bed reactor, kinetic reaction rate constants were obtained by the non-linear least square method. The adsorption capacity of NMO proved the potential use of $SO_2$ adsorbents.

U-Publication, the Tag-Embedded publication, is one of U-Media. U-Media is defined as a media where human creates and consumes content through not only human cognitive and perceptual processes but also through the interactions between surrounding digital systems. U-Media provides information by generating, collecting, and attaching the content itself and the related information based on the interaction of the bio-systems incorporating digital information and devices embedded in humans, and surrounding objects including external digital devices. Using U-Publication, readers consume its content not only in offline but also online through a mobile RFID reader which touches and connects the URLs embedded in the RFID tags attached to it. Readers can consume the additional content though the hyperlinks attached to U-Publication and perform commercial activity as well as consumer the printed content. This paper defines the RFID-Tagged publication, proposes its related business models, and evaluates the alternative business models through a simulation study.

Later on, Li-Ye [15, Theorem 1] proved that P(z, Γ(z), Γ'(z), . . . , Γ⁽ⁿ⁾(z), ζ(z)) ≢ 0 in z ∈ ℂ for any non-trivial distinguished polynomial P(z, u₀, u₁, . . ., u_n, v) with coefficients in a set L_δ of the zero function and a class of nonzero functions f from ℂ to ℂ ∪ {∞} (cf. [15, Definition 1]). In this paper, we prove that P(z, ζ(z), ζ'(z), . . . , ζ^(m)(z), Γ(z), Γ'(z), . . . , Γ⁽ⁿ⁾(z)) ≢ 0 in z ∈ ℂ, where m and n are two non-negative integers, and P(z, u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n) is any non-trivial polynomial in the m + n + 2 variables u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n with coefficients being meromorphic functions of order less than one, and the polynomial P(z, u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n) is a distinguished polynomial in the n + 1 variables v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n. The question studied in this paper is concerning the conjecture of Markus from [16]. The main results obtained in this paper also extend the corresponding results from Li-Ye [12] and improve the corresponding results from Chen-Wang [5] and Wang-Li-Liu-Li [23], respectively.

There are relatively inactive discussions about applying ubiquitous technology (uT) to traditional marketplace. If u-Market which affords to promote customer shopping convenience and on/offline shopping experience is implemented, then traffic of visiting customers as well as the revenue of the market will increase. Ultimately, it will lead to revitalizing traditional market. For this purpose, we developed a realistic u-Market service scenario with restricted uT considering spatial limitation and poor infrastructure of the physical marketplace. Based on u-Market service scenario, we have empirically investigated the determinants of u-Market service acceptance of the actual customers of traditional marketplace. We hope the results of this study will help in improvement of u-Market system development and service feasibility.

U-learning stresses the ubiquitous networking environment where different sizes of U-devices, let alone the dominant PCs, comprise a background infrastructure to enhance knowledge and performance. This paper suggests a U-learning system that will provide an alternative for the hectic private lessons, particularly English training among grade-school students. Several points are suggested of the U-system to be a cost-effective alternative. Besides the corresponding advancement of U-networking, the production of a profitable business model harnessing the emerging technology is most urgent. The Government authorities should recognize the potential U-social system solutions, and take an initiative to develop them. The latest technology seems to throw a light to the upcoming social systems applied in various fields of social needs.

This paper presents a method of constructing an Arithmetic Operation Unit Systems (A.O.U.S.) over Galois Field GF(2**m) for the purpose of the four arithmetical operation(addition, subtraction, multiplication and division between two elements in GF(2**mm). The proposed A.O.U.S. is constructed by following procedure. First of all, we obtained each four arithmetical operation algorithms for performing the four arithmetical operations using by mathematical properties over GF(2**m). Next, for the purpose of realizing the four arithmetical unit module (adder module, subtracter module, multiplier module and divider module), we constructed basic cells using the four arithmetical operation algorithms. Then, we realized the four Arithmetical Operation Unit Modules(A.O.U.M.) using basic cells and we constructd distributor modules for the purpose of merging A.O.U.M. with distributor modules. Finally, we constructed the A.O.U.S. over GF(2**m) by synthesizing A.O.U.M. with distributor modules. We prospect that we are able to construct an Arithmetic & Logical Operation Unit Systems (A.L.O.U.S.) if we will merge the proposed A.O.U.S. in this paper with Logical Operation Unit Systems (L.O.U.S.).
