Established in 1909, the Imperial Museum was the forerunner of Korean museums, and its collection formed the foundation of today's National Museum of Korea. However, when the Imperial Museum was first established in Changgyeonggung Palace, a zoo and botanical garden were created in addition to the museum. From 1911 onward, these three facilities were collectively referred to as Changgyeongwon Park. The zoo and botanical garden remained at Changgyeongwon when the museum was relocated in 1938, as did some of the items from the collection of the Yi Royal Household Museum. Among them were palanquins used by the royal family and folk items such as armor, as well as taxidermized birds. These stuffed birds were displayed in the corridor of Myeongjeongjeon Hall in Changgyeongwon, and were also displayed in the specimen hall at the back of Myeongjeongjeon Hall. The stuffed birds in particular should prompt a reconsideration of the nature of the Imperial Museum (Yi Royal Household Museum). The museum had been known as a prominent art museum, mainly collecting masterpieces of ceramics (such as Goryeo celadon), Buddhist sculptures, and paintings. However, this character seems to have been just one aspect of the museum. Along with the zoo, which housed live animals, and the botanical garden, which included greenhouses for tropical plants, the museum also featured specimens like taxidermy, suggesting that its initial aim, from a museological perspective, was to be a more comprehensive museum. Notably, Shimogoriyama Seiichi, who managed the general affairs of the museum, collected and cataloged Korean avian specimens from 1908 to 1917. This suggests that the zoo and botanical garden were not merely for entertainment purposes, but also served a museological purpose. However, the Imperial Museum (Yi Royal Household Museum) lacked the essential research and educational functions necessary for a museum, beyond its collecting and exhibition roles. For instance, although specimens of stuffed Korean birds were collected, they were not thoroughly researched. This indicates that while the museum's collection was acquired from a museological perspective, it did not advance into more specialized research. This study aims to examine how the characteristics of the Yi Royal Household Museum have evolved by analyzing the inventory of the museum's collections and the list of Korean bird specimens it held.

본 논문에서는 패러데이 효과(Faraday effect)를 이용하여 초고압 전력설비에서 대전류 측정을 위한 광CT의 온도변화에 따른 특성에 대한 기초 연구를 하였다. 광원으로는 1310[nm] Laser Diode를 사용하고 수신부로는 PIN-Photodiode를 사용하였다. 실험을 위한 온도변환장치는 GIS와 같은 모양으로 재철은 알루미늄으로서 제작하였다. 광의 전송로는 파이버 내에서 편광상태를 유지할 수 있는 30[m]의 싱글모드 언재킷(unjacked) 파이버를 사용하였다. 전류의 측정은 400[A]에서 1300[A] 까지의 범위에서 측정하였으며 온도는 -40[$^{\circ}$]에서 50[$^{\circ}$]까지 10[$^{\circ}$]씩 증가시키면서 측정하였다. 이 때 출력선호는 인가전류의 중가에 따라 비례하여 증가하였으며 주변온도가 높을수록 비례하여 증가하였다.

Experimental studies were done to research the dinical effects of Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL 13) on the anti-allergic response. anaphylaxis provoked by the compound 48/80, delayed type hypersensitivity response to picryl chloride and SASC and inflammation response to egg albumin. The following results have been obtained: Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13) group were increased the survival rate in compound48/80 induced systemic anaphylactic reaction. Picryl chloride induced contact dermatitis and delayed type hypersensitivity in SRBC challenged mouse were significantly decreased in Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture (BL13) group. Inflammation response - WBC, CRP and Nitric Oxide in egg albumin induced allergic rat were significantly decreased in Juglandis Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13) group. According to the above results, Semen aqua-acupuncture and acupuncture(BL13) both depress the allergy reaction.

본 연구는 직류 부극성(DC(-)) 전압에서 제조공기(I-Air)의 온도(T)의 변화($+10[^{\circ}C]{\sim}-30[^{\circ}C]$)에 따른 절연특성을 구명하였다. 절연특성은 GIS모의 챔버 주입 압력(P)과 비례하는 특성을 보였으나 T가 저하되면서 그 절연특성이 감소하는 경향을 보이지 않고 오히려 증가하는 구간이 존재하였다. 그리고 챔버내 P의 크기가 클수록 T저하에 대한 P감소율이 더 컸으며, 절연파괴전압($V_B$)감소폭도 이와 비례해서 60[N/$cm^2$]에서 가장 큰 변화를 보였다.

In this paper the experiments of breakdown characteristics $SF_6$ liquid ($LSF_6$) in model GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) were described. From the experiments results, The ability of $LSF_6$ insulation is higher than high-pressurized $SF_6$ gas. The breakdown characteristics of $LSF_6$ were produced by bubble formed evaporation of $LSF_6$ and bubble caused by high electric emission. It is considered in this paper that the results are fundamental data for electric insulation design of superconductor and cryogenic equipments machinery which will be studied and developed in the future.

Headspace hanging drop liquid phase micro-extraction (HS-HD-LPME) is studied as a novel solvent-based sample pretreatment method for floral volatile aroma compounds. This paper reports on application of the HSHD- LPME combined with GC-MS for the analysis of linalool component emitted from evening primrose flowers. The effect of several variables on the method performance was investigated. Additionally, the separation of enantiomers on a cyclodextrin capillary column was performed to identify chirality of (−)-linalool component. Since the unsurpassed volume of a few micro-liters of solvent is used, there is minimal waste or exposure to toxic organic solvents. This method enables to combine extraction, enrichment, clean-up, and sample introduction into a single step prior to the chromatographic process.

The effect of axial stress on the plastic deformation of rigid-perfectly plastic cylindrical tube under the impulsive band pressure is investigated. It is assumed that the tube is constructed with the material of Tresca's yield criterion. A closed from sloution is obtained for a rectangular pulse shape of uniform band pressure by using the circumscribed yield surface. The analysis shows that the effect ot exial stress is negligible when the dimensionless axial stress(n$\sub$x/= N$\sub$x/.delta.$\sub$y/H) is less than 0.2 or the dimensionless whdth of band pressure(.xi.=C/.root.RH) is greater than 2, but the effect of axial stress is of considerable importance when the axial stress is greater than 0.3 and the width of band pressure is less than 1.

Aerodynamic results for an airplane model produced in a subsonic wind tunnel testing inadvertently include errors which are added during model preparation, data acquisition, manipulation, and/or describing the results. Predicting or analyzing uncertainty for the final results is necessary for trusting them and for applying them to real airplane. This paper describes the analytic and systematic method for calculating and describing the uncertainties of aerodynamic coefficients.

A necropsy of a primiparous, 4-year-old, Himalayan tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus) was performed in September 8, 2009. Typical appearances of ovaries, oviducts, uterine horns, cervix and caruncles were well shown. Five cervical folds were present in the cervix. Cervical opening can be reached in the length of less than 15 cm from the entrance of vagina. Development of two follicles was found in the left ovary even though breeding season of this species naturally starts in late November. The reproductive organs of a primiparous, 3-year-old, Corriedale sheep showed that differences in the length and morphological appearance of cervix exist between two species. Comparative understanding of reproductive systems in Himalayan tahr and Corriedale sheep could help advancing assisted reproductive technologies in feral goats.

Seven years old male lion in Everland Zoo has three fractured canine tooth. To avoid the risk of a possible fracture with pulp exposure after restroration of largest abration defects, endodontic therapy was performed. The pulp chamber was filled with calcium hydroxide, zinc oxide cement and gutta percha. We also installed the Crown prosthesis was installed in fractured canine tooth to protect the tooth and to improve the cosmetics and function of the tooth. The lion could eat in one day and there were no any signs of dental problem. It is the obvious prophylactic procedure for wild animal is the inclusion of an oral examination at every opportunity to handle the animal. It is considered that crown prosthesis after endodontic therapy was useful for maintaining normal physiological function and for provention of additional fracture or complication.
