대정제법에 의한 전자재료용 indium정제에 관한 연구 (A study on the indium purification for electronic materials by zone refining)

  • Indium, element of group III, was refined by using zone refining for high purity refinement. We have found the impurities of T1, Zn, Fe, Cd, Pb, Ni, Cu, Sn in the refined indium with ICP-AES, so that 3.9 weight ppm of T1 was reduced to less than 1 ppm, 1.0 weight ppm of Zn was reduced to 0.7 ppm, 2.8 weight ppm of Cd was reduced to 2.5 ppm and 14.0 weight ppm of Sn was reduced to 6.7 ppm with 5 melten zone passes only. 3.9 weight ppm of T1 was reduced to less than 1 ppm, 1.0 weight ppm of Zn was reduced to 0.3 ppm, 2.8 weight ppm of Cd was reduced to less than 1.0 ppm and 14.0 weight ppm of Sn was reduced to 0.4 ppm after vacuum baking with 5 melten zone passes. The surface morpholgy of metal Indium thin film in each conditions showed that porosities were reduced in the front of sampled ingot after vacuum baking with 5 zone melten zone passes. The average electrical resistivity of Indium thin film was reduced from 1.4*10$^{-3}$ .ohm.-cm in Indium origin ingot to 7.9*10$^{-6}$ .ohm.-cm after zone refined with 5 melten zone passes.

Fractional Melting에 의한 Si 정련에 관한 연구 (Refining of Silicon by Fractional Melting Process)

  • Fractional melting process involves heating an alloy within its liquid-solid region simultaneously ejecting liquid from the solid-liquid mixture. The extent of the purification obtained is comparable to that obtained in multi-pass zone refining. The new fractional melting process in which centrifugal force was used for separating the liquid from the mixture has been developed and applied to the purification of the metallic grade. Refining ratio depends on partition ratio, cake wetness and diffusion in the solid, and it was controlled by various processing parameters such as rotating speed and heating rate. The new parameter called "refining partition coefficient" has been suggested to estimate the effects of processing variables on the refining ratio. Because major impurities in MG-silicon such as Fe, Al, Ni have a low segregation coefficient, good purification effect is expected. The results of refining MG-silicon(98%) showed that 3N-Si was obtained in refined solid of 50% of the original sample.

  • Pivalic acid를 진공 증류 및 zone refining을 이용 고순도로 정제하여 온도 표준 기준 물질로의 개발 가능성을 시험하였다. melting plateau curve를 이용하여 99.9997% 순도의 pivalic acid cell들의 삼중점을 측정한 결과 $35.956\pm 0.003^{\circ}C$를 얻을 수 있었다. 이상의 정밀도를 갖는 pivalic acid 삼중점 cell들은 고정밀도를 요구하지 않는 일반 thermistor 온도계류의 보정용으로 충분히 사용 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

  • EBFZM( Electron Beam Floating Zone Melting) 법을 이용하여 몰리브덴에서의 금속계 불순물과 침입형 불순물의 정련기구 및 단결정 성장기구를 연구하 였다. Fe, Cr, Co등의 금속계 불순물은 몰리브덴과의 평형증기압의 차이에 따른 불순물의 선택적 증발에 의하여 우수한 정련효과를 나타내며, 몰리브덴보다 응점이 높은 Ta, W는 잘 제거되지 않았다. 한편 대역 정제에 의한 정련효과는 미약함을 확인하였다. EBF ZM은 C,0,N등의 침입형 불순물의 정련에도 효과적 이었다. 본 연구의 모든 조건에서 몰리브덴은 단결정으로 성장하였으며 2차 재결정 epitaxy에 의한 단결 정 성장기구가 제시되었다. 몰리브덴 단결정 내의 전 위밀도는 strain-anneal법에 의한 단결정의 경우보다 높았으며,본 실험의 열처리 조건에서는 변화하지 않았다. The purification and single crystal growth mechanisms of molybdenum were analysed in EBFZM ( electron beam floating zone melting). Metallic impurities of Fe, Cr, Co were purified efficiently but Ta and W were not removed well in this study. It was due to a preferential evaporation of the elements caused by the difference in equillibrium vapor pressure between the elements and molybdenum. The pu- rification effect by zone refining was not significant. The EBFZM also refined the interstitial impurities of C, 0 and N, effectively. The single crystals of molybdenum were grown regardless of the experimental conditions and the secondary recrystallization epitaxy was surge sled as a growth mechanism. The dislocation density in single crystal was higher than that by strain-anneal method, and was not reduced by heat treatments.

  • The microstructure of HAZ and the mechanical properties in weldments such as hardness and toughness were studied for mild steel and AH36 grade TMCP steel, as increasing heat input with electrogas welding process. The results of this study can be summarized as follow: 1) In the HAZ of mild steel, the width of coarse grained zone was larger than that of the nomalized zone, however in the case of TMCP steel, the nomalized zone was wider than the coarse grained zone. 2) The grain size of HAZ become coarse with increasing heat input. And at the same heat input, the grain size of TMCP steel was more coarser than that of mild steel. 3) According to the change of heat input, the deviation of hardness values was not significant, and the maximum values of hardness was not in HAZ but in the weld metal. And the hardness values in root part was higher than in face part. 4) Even though the HAZ grain size of mild steel was larger than that of TMCP steel, the impact values for mild steel was higher than those for TMCP steel, and the impact values in face part was higher than those in root part.

고분자 유기하드마스크 합성에 따른 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Polymer Organic Hard Mask Synthesis)

  • 본 논문은 제조공정이 단순하고, 공정시간도 매우 짧아 제조원가를 절감할 수 있는 고분자 유기하드마스크를 합성하는데 목적을 두었다. 승화 정제 장치를 통한 잔류금속을 측정한 결과, 9-Naphthalen-1-ylcarbazole(9-NC)은 4th zone에서 101.75ppb, 2-Naphthol(2-NA)은 5th zone에서 306.98ppb, 9-Fluorenone(9-F)는 4th zone에서 5th zone 사이에서 129.05ppb로 측정되었다. 그리고 합성된 유기하드마스크를 필터 시스템을 거친 후 잔류금속을 측정한 결과 9 ~ 7ppb 측정되었다. 또 열분석 변화를 측정한 결과, 2.78%로 감소하였고 분자량은 942로 측정되었고 탄소 함량은 89.74%이고 수율은 72.4%로 나타났다. 에칭 속도는 평균 18.22Å/s로 측정되었고 코팅 두께 편차는 평균 1.19로 측정되었다. 유기하드마스크의 입자크기가 0.2㎛ 이하에서는 입자가 존재하지 않았다. 코팅 속도를 1,000, 1,500, 1,800rpm으로 변화를 주어 코팅 두께를 측정한 결과, 수축률은 17.9에서 20.8%까지 측정되었고 코팅 결과 SiON과 접착력이 우수하고 유기하드마스크가 균일하게 도포되었음을 알 수 있었다.

백금 결정 성장시 줄무늬 구조 제어 (Controlling striated structure in Pt with RF zone refining method)

  • 백금 결정을 고주파(RE) 부유띠 용융법에 의하여 성장 시켰으며 성장하는 동안 직류 전류를 걸어줌으로써 백금에서 나타날 수 있는 하부구조의 개선을 도모하였다. 직류 전류와 성장 방향에 따라 백금 결정을 성장 시킴에 하부 구조에 영향을 준다는 것이 확인되었다. 백금 결정에 있어서의 줄 무늬 구조는 불안정하였으며 이것은 어닐링 방법에 의해서도 제거 될 수 있다는 결과를 얻었다.

  • 인듐은 디스플레이 산업의 발전과 더불어 그 수요가 급격하게 증가하고 있으며 산업적 중요도도 높아 보조 공급원으로 부터의 회수기술 개발이 점점 관심을 얻고 있다. 폐 디스플레이 재활용을 위한 인듐 회수기술은 크게 해체분리, 선별농축 그리고 정제 공정으로 구성되어 있으며 목표하는 소재의 최종 순도에 따라 추가적으로 고도화 공정이 도입된다. 본 논문에서는 인듐 회수를 위해 적용되고 있는 기술에 대해서 소개하며 연구동향과 향후 전망 등에 고찰하였다.

강판의 열간압연 선진율 예측모델의 개발 (Development of Forward Slip Model in Hot Strip Mill)

  • A prediction model on forward slip has been developed for presetting rolling speed of each finish mill stand in the continuous hot strip roduction. Those factors such as neutral point, friction coefficient, volume fractions undergoing width spread, shape of deformation zone at each side of entry and delivery of the rolls were taken into account. To reduce the speed unbalance between adjacent stands a refining method of adjusting friction coefficient has also been developed. On-line application of the model showed a good agreement in rolling speeds between the predictions and the actual measurements, and gave an outstanding improvement in the travelling stability of strip passing through the finishing mill train.

유동법에 의한 용융 ZnCl2 및 FeCl2의 증기압 측정 (Measurement of Vapor Pressure of Molten ZnCl2 and FeCl2 by the Transpiration Method)

  • Chloride-based fluxes such as NaCl-KCl are used in the refining of Al melt. The vapor pressure of the chloride is one of the fundamental pieces of information required for such processes, and is generally high at elevated temperatures. In order to measure the vapor pressure for chlorides, the apparatus for the transpiration method was assembled in the present study. The vapor pressure of $ZnCl_2$ and $FeCl_2$, which is related with the process of aluminum refining and the recovery of useful elements from iron and steel industry by-products, was also measured. In the measurement of vapor pressure by the transpiration method, the powder of $ZnCl_2$ or $FeCl_2$ in a alumina boat was loaded in the uniform zone of the furnace with a stream of Ar. The weight loss of $ZnCl_2$ and $FeCl_2$ after holding was measured by changing the flow rate of Ar gas (10 sccm -230 sccm), and the partial pressures of $ZnCl_2$ and $FeCl_2$ were calculated. The partial pressures within a certain range were found to be independent of the flow rate of Ar at different temperatures. The vapor pressures were measured in the temperature range of 758-901K for $ZnCl_2$ and 963-983K for $FeCl_2$. The measured results agreed well with those in the literature.
