To fabricate $TiO_2$ nanoparticle-based dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) at a low-temperature, DSSCs were fabricated using hydropolymer and ZnO nanoparticles composites for the electron transport layer around a low-temperature ($200^{\circ}C$). ZnO nanoparticle with 20 nm and 60 nm diameter were used and Pt was deposited as a counter electrode on ITO/glass using an RF magnetron sputtering. We investigate the effect of ZnO nanoparticle concentration in hydropolymer and ZnO nanoparticle solution on the photoconversion performance of the low temperature fabricated ($200^{\circ}C$) DSSCs. Using cis-bis(isothiocyanato)bis(2,20 bipyridy1-4,40 dicarboxylato) ruthenium (II) bis-tetrabutylammonium (N719) dye as a sensitizer, the corresponding device performance and photo-physical characteristics are investigated through conventional physical characterization techniques. The effect of thickness of the ZnO photoelectrode and the morphology of the ZnO nanoparticles with the variations of hydropolymer to ZnO ratio on the photoconversion performance are also investigated. The morphology of the ZnO layer after sintering was examined using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). 60 nm ZnO nanoparticle DSSCs showed an incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) value of about 7% higher than that of 20 nm ZnO nanoparticle DSSCs. The maximum parameters of the short circuit current density ($J_{sc}$), the open circuit potential ($V_{oc}$), fill factor (ff), and efficiency ($\eta$) in the 60 nm ZnO nanoparticle-based DSSC devices were 4.93 mA/$cm^2$, 0.56V, 0.40, and 1.12%, respectively.

This study is unrefined ZnO, $TiO_2$ nanoparticles is expose M4 medium to search nanoparticle aggregation and Daphnia magna was any effect by immobilization and mortality. ZnO and $TiO_2$ nanoparticle powder-size is respectively 20 nm and 40 nm. but, M4 medium has about respectively as 1333 nm and 1628 nm, 40 to 70 times were agglomerated. Immobilization of ZnO and $TiO_2$ nanoparticles was influenced both time and concentration the higher to swimming of D.magna. Especially, The immobilization of D.magna in nano-ZnO is greater than that influence in nano-$TiO_2$. Mortality of ZnO nanoparticle is higher rate at long time and high concentration. $TiO_2$ nanoparticle observed mortality at 10ppm concentration after 72h. Consequently, when Nanoparticles is introduced into ocean. Particle size become grow. Additionally, aggregation be caused affect aquatic ecosystems.
ZnO nanoparticle was successfully prepared by microwave irradiation method in various oxygen/nitrogen ratio atmospheres. The product prepared in a low oxygen ratio atmosphere showed tetra pod shape with high aspect ratio, c/a. PL spectra of the products showed higher UV emission intensity than the others when it was prepared in the atmosphere oxygen/nitrogen=40/60.

In this study, we report a novel antioxidant ZnO nanoparticle that is newly designed and prepared by simple surface modification process. Antioxidative functionality is provided by the immobilization of antioxidant of 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid (galic acid, GA) onto the surface of ZnO nanoparticles. Microstructure and physical properties of the ZnO@GA nanoparticles were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and steady state spectroscopic methods. The antioxidative activity of ZnO@GA was also evaluated using ABTS (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radical cation decolorization assay. Notably, ZnO@GA showed strong antioxidative activity in spite of the conjugation process of GA on the ZnO surface. These results provide that GA-coating onto ZnO nanoparticles may offer an intriguing potential for biomedical devices as well as nanomaterials.
Nanoparticles $Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ is fabricated by a sol-gel method. The magnetic and structural properties of powders were investigated with XRD, SEM, $M\ddot{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy, and VSM. $Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ powders annealed at $300^{\circ}C$ have a spinel structure and behaved superparamagnetically. The estimated size of $Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ nanoparticle is about 11 nm. $Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ annealed at 400 and $500^{\circ}C$ has a typical spinel structure and is ferrimagnetic in nature. The isomer shifts indicate that the iron ions were ferric at the tetrahedral (A) and the octahedral (B). Blocking temperature $(T_B)\;of\;Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ nanoparticle is about 260 K. The magnetic anisotropy constant of $Ni_{0.7}Zn_{0.3}Fe_2O_4$ annealed $300^{\circ}C$ were calculated to be $1.7X10^6\;ergs/cm^3$. Also, temperature of the sample increased up to $43^{\circ}C$ within 7 minutes under AC magnetic field of 7 MHz.
Nitrogen-doped ZnO nanoparticle-carbon nanofiber composites were prepared using electrospinning. As the relative amounts of N-doped ZnO nanoparticles in the composites were controlled to levels of 3.4, 9.6, and 13.8 wt%, the morphological, structural, and chemical properties of the composites were characterized by means of field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). In particular, the carbon nanofiber composites containing 13.8 wt% N-doped ZnO nanoparticles exhibited superior catalytic properties, making them suitable for use as counter electrodes in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). This result can be attributed to the enhanced surface roughness of the composites, which offers sites for $I_3{^-}$ ion reductions and the formation of Zn3N2 phases that facilitate electron transfer. Therefore, DSSCs fabricated with 13.8 wt% N-doped ZnO nanoparticle-carbon nanofiber composites showed high current density ($16.3mA/cm^2$), high fill factor (57.8%), and excellent power-conversion efficiency (6.69%); at the same time, these DSSCs displayed power-conversion efficiency almost identical to that of DSSCs fabricated with a pure Pt counter electrode (6.57%).

The emergence of new infectious diseases, the resurgence of several infections that appeared to have been controlled and the increase in bacterial resistance have created the necessity for studies directed towards the development of new antimicrobials. In the present study, we have synthesized a novel antioxidant ZnO nanoparticle that is newly designed and prepared by simple surface modification process. Antioxidative functionality is provided by the immobilization of antioxidant 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-propenoic acid (caffeic acid, CA) onto the surface of ZnO nanoparticles. Microstructure and physical properties of the ZnO@CA nanoparticles were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and steady state spectroscopic methods. Antimicrobial Activities of ZnO@CA nanoparticles were measured against various bacterial strains using antibacterial testing methods.

Newly-developed fabrication of a p-n heterojunction diode constructed with a p-Si nanowire (NW) and an n-ZnO nanoparticle (NP) thin-film by the dielectrophoresis (DEP) technique is demonstrated in this study. With the bias of 20 Vp-p at the input frequency of 1 MHz, the most efficient assembly of the n-ZnO NPs is shown for the fabrication of the p-n heterojunction diode with a p-Si NW. The p-n heterojunction diode fabricated in this study represents current rectifying characteristics with the turn on voltage of 1.1 V. The diode can be applied to the fabrication of optoelectrical devices such as photodetectors, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), or solar cells based on the high conductivity of the NW and the high surface to volume ratio of the NP thin film.
The electrochemical luminescence (ECL) device was investigated, which has similar structure to the dye-sensitized solar cell. The structure of the ECL cell in this experiment reliably induces a large amount of the oxidation around electrodes. The band gap of the ECL electrode is of 3.0 - 3.2 eV. Titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) nanoparticle has following properties: a band gap of 3.4 eV, a low-priced material, and 002 preferred orientation (Z-axis). Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanorod is easy to grow in a vertical direction. In this paper, in order to determine material suitable for the ECL device, the properties of various materials for electrodes of ECL devices such as ZnO nanorod (ZnO-NR) and $TiO_2$ nanoparticle ($TiO_2-NP$) were compared. The threshold voltage of the light emission of the ZnO-NR was 2.0 V which is lower than 2.5 V of $TiO_2-NP$. In the other hand, the luminance of $TiO_2-NP$ was $44.66cd/m^2$ and was higher than that of $34cd/m^2$ of ZnO-NR at the same applied voltage of 4 V. Based on the experimental results, we could conclude that $TiO_2-NP$ is a more suitable electrode material in ECL device than the ZnO-NR.
