보로노이 네트워크를 이용한 ZnO 바리스터의 전기적 특성 연구 (The Study of Electrical Characteristic of ZnO Varistor with Voronoi Network)

  • A microstructure of realistic ZnO varistor was constructed by Voronoi network and studied cia computer simulation. The grain size and standard deviation was calculated with new method and have good agreement with experimental data. In this network, the grain boundary conditions of three different type are randomly distributed. The three electrical boundary conditions . (1) type A junctions (high nonlinearity); (2) type B junctions (low nonlinearity); (3) type C junctions (linear with low-resistivity) are fitted from the experimental measurement. The electrical properties were studied by varying the boundary type concentration and the disorder parameter d. The shape of I-V characteristic curve of the network is affected by the type concentration and the disorder parameter has an effect on the double inflected region.

스크린 프린팅 기법으로 제작된 ZnBO가 첨가 (Ba,Sr)$TiO_3$ 후막의 planner capacitor 특성분석 (Screen Printed ZnBO Doped BST Thick Film Planner Capacitors)

  • ZnBo이 첨가된 (Ba,Sr)$TiO_3$ 후막을 이용한 planner capacitor의 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. 후막은 알루미나 기판에 스크린 프린팅기법에 의해서 제작되었고 $1200^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 소결하였다. 출발 물질인 BST의 저온 소결을 위해서 ZnBO를 첨가하였다. ZnBO가 1, 3, 5 wt% 첨가된 경우 소결온도가 $1200^{\circ}C$의 낮은 온도에서 소결되는 것을 확인했으며 ZnBO의 첨가랑이 증가함에 따라서 유전율은 감소하고 유전손실는 증가 하는 현상이 나타났다. 1, 3, 5 wt%의 ZnBO가 첨가된 (Ba,Sr)$TiO_3$는 각각 756, 624, 554의 유전율를 보였다. 또한 ZnBO의 양이 증가함에 따라서 누설전류가 감소되는 것을 확인하였고, ZnBO의 첨가가 grain의 성장과 density가 증가되어 누설전류의 양이 감소하게 되는 것으로 분석되었다.

$KNO_3$의 첨가가 ZNR (Zinc Oxide Nonlinear Resistor)에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the ZNR (Zinc Oxide Nonlinear Resistor) with $KNO_3$)

  • Nonohmic properties of ZnO ceramics with various small amounts of additives were studied in relation to sintering temperature and additive content. The kinds of additives used were basic additives ($Bi_2O_3$, $BaCO_3$, $MnCO_3$, $Cr_2O_3$) and $KNO_3$ Especially this study has focused on the effects of $KNO_3$ in ZnO ceramics with basic additives. SEM studies indicated that microstructures of ZnO, $KNO_3$ and basic additives showed homogenuous grain size in comparison to ZnO and basic additives compounds. The nonohmic exponent ($\alpha$) in ZnO, $KNO_3$ and basic additives component were measured as high as 40.

Undoped ZnO 박막의 다양한 특성의 상관관계에 대한 연구 (A study on the relationship of various characterizations for undoped ZnO thin films)

  • PTC Thermistors specimens were fabricated by added $MnO_2$ as donors, and $Nb_2O_5$ as acceptors and sintered $1250^{\circ}C$/2hrs. Average grain size decreased with increased in added $MnO_2$, and increased with added in $Nb_2O_5$. But, appeared liquid phase as $Bi_2O_3$ and $TiO_2$, affect to grain growth. XRD result, peak strength waslowed then crystallization not well, but, secondary phase were not showed all specimens. All specimens resistance were so high, about $40M{\Omega}$ over, couldn't measured to those resistance and doesn't appear PTCR effect.

ZnGa$_2$O$_4$형광박막의 발광특성에 미치는 도핑 및 어닐리의 효과 (Doping and Annealing Effect on Luminescent Characteristics of $_2$ Phosphor Thin Films)

  • Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin film phosphors were prepared on Si(100) wafers and ITO coated glass substrates by rf magnetron sputtering technique and the effects of the substrates dopant and the sputtering paramet-ers were analyzed, Changes of the oreintation were observed after annealine tratment. The grain size of {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} : Mn thin film deposited on Si wafer was smaller than that on ITO/glass substrate which resulted in higher PL intensity. The PL spectra of Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin films showed sharp green luminescence spec-trum. According to CL spectrum it could be concluded that Mn ions acted as an actuator for green emission by substituting Zn atom sites.

Structural and Magnetic Properties of LiZnO Added MgFe2O4 Composite

  • $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O$ and $MgFe_2O_4$ powders were synthesized using chemical methods and mixed in different proportions to prepare a mixture of $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O$ and $MgFe_2O_4$ that was thermally treated between 900 to $1100^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. Structural characterization was done using X-ray powder diffraction measurements. Grain sizes and morphologies of $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O$, $MgFe_2O_4$, and $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O+MgFe_2O_4$ samples were observed using a scanning electron microscope. Variation of magnetic properties of the $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O+MgFe_2O_4$ samples due to the addition of $Li_{0.1}Zn_{0.9}O$ was studied in relation to the structural changes occurring due to the thermal treatment. In particular, changes in the cationic distribution between the tetrahedral and octahedral positions were studied with respect to the increase of the annealing temperature. Magnetization was found to be dependent on the cations distributed in the tetrahedral and octahedral sites of the $MgFe_2O_4$.

Voltage Enhancement of ZnO Oxide Varistors for Various Y2O3 Doping Compositions

  • The microstructure and the electrical properties of a ZnO varistor, which was composed of a ZnO-$Bi_2O_3$-$Sb_2O_3$-CoO- $MnO_2$ -NiO-$Nd_2O_3$ system, were investigated at various $Y_2O_3$ addition concentrations. $Y_2O_3$ played a role in the inhibition of the grain growth. As the $Y_2O_3$ content increased, the average grain size decreased from $6.8{\mu}m$ to $4{\mu}m$, and the varistor voltage($V_{1mA}$) greatly increased from 275 to 400 V/mm. The nonlinearity coefficient ($\alpha$) decreased from 72 to 65 with increasing $Y_2O_3$ amount. On the other hand, the leakage current ($I_L$) increased from 0.2 to 0.9 ${\mu}A$. These results confirmed that doping the varistors with $Y_2O_3$ is a promising production route for production of a higher fine-grained varistor voltage ($V_{1mA}$) which can dramatically reduce the size of the varistors.

Influence of Dysprosia Addition on Microstructure and Electrical Properties of Praseodymia-based Zinc Oxide Varistors

  • The microstructure and electrical properties of varistor ceramics, which are composed of Zn-Pr­Co-Cr-Dy-oxide system, were investigated at various dysprosia $(Dy_2O_3)$ addition contents. The $DY_2O_3$ microstructurally played the role of inhibition for the densification and grain growth. As the $DY_2O_3$ content increased, the density decreased in the range of $5.51-4.90 g/cm^3$, reaching maximum at $0.5 mol\%$ and the average ZnO grain size decreased in the range of $17.7-6.0{\mu}m$. The incorporation of $DY_2O_3$ significantly improved the nonlinear properties of varistors, above 30 in nonlinear exponent, compared with that without $DY_2O_3$. The varistors with the best performance of nonlinear properties was obtained $DY_2O_3$ content of $1.0 mol\%$, 49 in nonlinear exponent and $0.5{\mu}A$ in leakage current.
