  • Purpose: Recently, information on 'Delicious Restaurants (Mat-zip)' and 'Famous Bakeries' can be obtained through various media such as TV, Internet search, and SNS, and the culture of finding and sharing them has become a trend. Since PZB's SERVQUAL, there have been many studies measuring service quality, leading to hotels, restaurants and coffee shops. These studies of service quality include product quality in the service quality dimension. Hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops are provided with intangible services while customers visit and stay, but 'Delicious Restaurants (Mat-zip)' and 'Famous Bakeries' often stop by to buy products and return home. Therefore, the study on the effect of quality on customer behavior on 'Delicious Restaurants (Mat-zip)' should consider product quality separately. In this study, we want to study how each quality element affects the perceived value and response of customers by separating product quality and service quality. Research design, data, and methodology: This study tested the structural model of how the quality of products and services of famous bakeries affect customers' perceived value and response. As the quality factors, products, tangible services, and employee services were adopted, and perceived values adopted utilitarian and hedonic values, and customer responses adopted customer satisfaction and behavior intention. For this study, 203 survey data with experience using famous bakeries were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Result: The research results are as follows. First, product quality positively influenced utilitarian value, hedonic value, and customer satisfaction, tangible service quality positively influenced utilitarian value, and employee service quality positively influenced hedonic value. Second, utilitarian value had a positive effect on behavioral intention, and hedonic value had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Conclusions: In a famous bakery, it is basic that product quality should be given priority, and for customer satisfaction, employee service quality is half as important. In addition, for Behavior Intension (revisit by the customer), in addition to product quality, the quality of tangible services and employee services should be maintained at a quarter level.

  • The statistical analysis to the torrential rainfall data that is defined as a rainfall amount more than 80 mm/day is performed with Daegu and Busan rainfall data which is collected during 384 months. The number of occurrence of the torrential rainfall events can be simulated usually using Poisson distribution. However, the Poisson distribution can be frequently failed to simulate the statistical characteristics of the observed value when the observed data is zero-inflated. Therefore, in this study, Generalized Poisson distribution (GPD), Zero-Inflated Poisson distribution (ZIP), Zero-Inflated Generalized Poisson distribution (ZIGP), and Bayesian ZIGP model were used to resolve the zero-inflated problem in the torrential rainfall data. Especially, in Bayesian ZIGP model, a informative prior distribution was used to increase the accuracy of that model. Finally, it was suggested that POI and GPD model should be discouraged to fit the frequency of the torrential rainfall data. Also, Bayesian ZIGP model using informative prior provided the most accurate results. Additionally, it was recommended that ZIP model could be alternative choice on the practical aspect since the Bayesian approach of this study was considerably complex.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the amount of transportation of original canal, zip formation, permanent deformation and fracture of instruments after canal enlargement. In this study, the 60 resin blocks that have curved canals were randomly divided into 3 experimental groups with 20 teeth each according to instrument types and filling methods for canal enlargement. The curved canals of each experimental groups were enlarged to No 40 ISO size with the K-flexo stainless steel file (Group 1), Engine-driven Ni-Ti Profile new series(Group 2) and Engine-driven Ni-Ti Quantec 2000 series(Group 3) according to the manufacturer's recommendation. Pre- and postoperative X-rays were taken at same position and the films were scanned and the canal images were traced to determine the canal curvature according to the method of Schneider. The amount of reduction in canal curvature were calculated between pre- and postoperative X-rays. In addition to zip formation, permanent deformation and fracture of instruments were examined after canal enlargement. The results were as follows : 1. All experimental groups showed some loss of canal curvature after instrumentation. There was a significant change in curvature between before and after instrumentation in each group(p<0.001). 2. Engine-driven Ni-Ti instrumentations resulted in an average loss of curvature of 2.36 degrees for Profile new series, 3.43 degrees for Quantec series, and hand instrumentation showed an average loss of curvature of 6.48 degrees for K-flexo file. There was a statistical significant difference between hand instrumentation and engine-driven Ni-Ti instrumentations(p<0.05). But there was no statistical difference between Profile new series and Quantec series. 3. There were many apical zip formations in group 1(Hand instrumentation). But there were no apical zip formations in group 2,3(Engine-driven Ni-Ti instrumentation). 4. The instrument deformation occured 9 cases in group 1(K-flexo file), 2 cases in group 2(Profile new series) and 3 cases in group 3(Quantec) after instrumentation. And the instrument fracture occured 1 case in each group. The results showed that the engine-driven Ni-Ti instruments, if we use carefully according to manufacturer's recommendations, can be use effectively for instrumenting the curved root canals in case of the MAF was over size 40.

  • The Jun and Fos families of eukaryotic transcription factors form heterodimers capable of binding to their cognate DNA enhancer elements. We are interested in searching for inhibitors or antagonists of the binding of the Jun-Fos heterodimer to the activator protein-1 (AP-1) site. The basic-region leucine zipper (bZIP) domain of c-Fos was expressed as a fusion protein with glutathione S-transferase, and allowed to form a heterodimer with the bZIP domain of c-Jun. The heterodimer was bound to glutathione-agarose, to which were added radiolabeled AP-1 nucleotides. After thorough washing, the gel-bound radioactivity was counted. The assay is faster than the coventional electrophoretic mobility shift assay because the gel electrophoresis step and the autoradiography step are eliminated. Moreover, the assay is very sensitive, allowing the detection of picomolar quantities of nucleotides, and is not affected by up to 50% dimethylsulfoxide, a solvent for hydrophobic inhibitors. Curcumin and dihydroguaiaretic acid, recently known inhibitors of Jun-Fos-DNA complex formation, were applied to this Jun-GST-fused Fos system and revealed to decrease the dimer-DNA binding.

  • This study deals with the traffic accidents data from the Korean rotaries (circular intersections) to verify their characteristics affected by different vehicle types. This paper categorized the data into three groups based on vehicle types, and developed a set of accident models. The paper proposed two ZIP models and one negative binomial model through a statistical analysis for three vehicle types: automobile, truck and van, and others. The differences among those models were then statistically compared.

  • Like many types of scientific data, results from simulations of volcanic ash diffusion are of a clustered sparse matrix in the netCDF format. Since these data sets are large in size, they generate high storage and transmission costs. In this paper, we suggest a new method that reduces the size of the data of volcanic ash diffusion simulations by converting the multi-dimensional index to a single dimension and keeping only the starting point and length of the consecutive zeros. This method presents performance that is almost as good as that of ZIP format compression, but does not destroy the netCDF structure. The suggested method is expected to allow for storage space to be efficiently used by reducing both the data size and the network transmission time.

  • So far, the importance for an accurate load model has been constantly raised and its necessity would be further more emphasized. Currently used load model for analysis of power system in Korea was developed 10 years ago, which is aggregated by applying the statistically estimated load compositions to load models based on individual appliances. As modern appliances have diversified and rapidly changed, the existing load model is no longer compatible with current loads in the Korean power system. Therefore, a measurement based load model is more suitable for modern power system analysis because it can accurately include the load characteristics by directly measuring target load. This paper proposes a ZIP model employing a Kalman-filter as the estimation algorithm for the model parameters. The Kamlan-filter based parameter identification offers an advantage of fast parameter determination by removing iterative calculation. To verify the proposed load model, the four-second-interval real data from the Korea Energy Management System (K-EMS) is used.
