유비쿼터스 환경에서의 ZigBee 기술과 보안요구사항

  • 저전력 초소형 저비용 장점과 함께 $10{\sim}20m$내에서 250Kbps의 속도로 데이터를 전송하고 6만 5000개 이상의 노드를 연결할 수 있는 ZigBee는 이제 막 상용화 단계에 접어들었으며, 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(USN)를 구현하는 최적의 기술로 주목받고 있다. 본 고에서는 다양한 분야에 응용될 것으로 예상되는 ZigBee 관련하여 표준화 현황, 기술 현황 및 보안 요구사항에 대해서 고찰한다.

  • 본고에서는 현재 스마트 에너지와 리모컨, LED 조명제어 분야에서 많이 쓰이고 있는 ZigBee 의 기술 및 응용 분야를 알아본다. ZigBee는 근거리 무선 통신의 표준 중 컨트롤 및 모니터에 특화되어 있으며 조절 가능한 노드 수가 많고 대기전력이 적어 현재 컨트롤 디바이스에 활발히 쓰이고 있다.

A Study On Design of ZigBee Chip Communication Module for Remote Radiation Measurement (원격 방사선 측정을 위한 ZigBee 원칩형 통신 모듈 설계에 대한 연구)

  • This paper suggests how to design a ZigBee-chip-based communication module to remotely measure radiation level. The suggested communication module consists of two control processors for the chip as generally required to configure a ZigBee system, and one chip module to configure a ZigBee RF device. The ZigBee-chip-based communication module for remote radiation measurement consists of a wireless communication controller; sensor and high-voltage generator; charger and power supply circuit; wired communication part; and RF circuit and antenna. The wireless communication controller is to control wireless communication for ZigBee and to measure radiation level remotely. The sensor and high-voltage generator generates 500 V in two consecutive series to amplify and filter pulses of radiation detected by G-M Tube. The charger and power supply circuit part is to charge lithium-ion battery and supply power to one-chip processors. The wired communication part serves as a RS-485/422 interface to enable USB interface and wired remote communication for interfacing with PC and debugging. RF circuit and antenna applies an RLC passive component for chip antenna to configure BALUN and antenna impedance matching circuit, allowing wireless communication. After configuring the ZigBee-chip-based communication module, tests were conducted to measure radiation level remotely: data were successfully transmitted in 10-meter and 100-meter distances, measuring radiation level in a remote condition. The communication module allows an environment where radiation level can be remotely measured in an economically beneficial way as it not only consumes less electricity but also costs less. By securing linearity of a radiation measuring device and by minimizing the device itself, it is possible to set up an environment where radiation can be measured in a reliable manner, and radiation level is monitored real-time.

  • 본 논문에서는 ZigBee Alliance에서 다루어지고 있는 IEEE 802.15.4틀 기반으로 하는 USN을 위한 라우팅 프로토콜을 연구한다. 현재 ZigBee Specification v1.0의 표준에서는 AODV라우팅 프로토콜과 Hierarchical 라우팅 프로토콜을 사용하고 있다. 하지만 ZigBee Specification v1.0의 표준에서 사용하고 있는 이 두 가지 라우팅 프로토콜은 대규모의 센서네트워크에 적용하였을 때, 많은 단점들이 존재한다. 이러한 단점들은 센서네트워크가 가지고 있는 여러 가지 특성들을 고려하지 않은 일반적인 Adhoc 네트워크에서 사용하는 라우팅 프로토콜을 사용했기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점들을 해결 할 수 있는 클러스터 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다.

  • This paper describes the applicability of Bluetooth and ZigBee networks for real-time control in wireless networked control system and suggests an effective usage of them. The Bluetooth SCO link, SPP and HID profiles and the ZigBee non-beacon enabled network are analyzed and the latency of them are measured. A number of wireless networked control system experiments are performed via DC motor control system and the various profiles of Bluetooth and ZigBee in real-time wireless networked control system are compared.

  • 현재 전 세계적으로 IT기술이 급속도로 발전함에 따라 유비쿼터스 환경으로 급속히 변화하고 있다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 근로자가 언제, 어디서나 고도의 유무선 정보 통신 기술을 활용하여 업무를 수행할 수 있는 u-Work 환경이 도래될 전망이다. u-Work를 보다 발전된 방향으로 구축하려면 센서 네트워크가 중요하며 그 중 ZigBee가 가장 유용하고 사회적으로 대두되어 개발이 많이 되고 있는 기술 중 하나이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 보다 나은 사무환경 조성을 위해 u-Work와 ZigBee 기술을 조사하고 u-Work 환경에서 ZigBee 네트워크의 효율적인 보안기법 설계를 하였다.

  • ZigBee network, based on PHY, MAC layer provides a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radio based on an IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Meshing is a type of daisy chaining from one device to another. This technique allows the short range of an individual node to be expanded and multiplied, covering a much larger area. Each wireless technology that makes it to market serves a special purpose or function. Zigbee provides short-range connectivity in what is called a personal-area network (PAN). Within ZigBee PAN coordinator as manages an entire ZigBee network, the short range of frequency band was only selected because the technology allows typically less than 100 kbp or ZigBee troubles in retransmission processing and delaying data tranmission works to create unproductive condition of work. This research was proposed the method, based on short range frequency of zigBee nodes enable to long range of remote data transmission with specific algorithm tools.

  • These days wireless sensor networks receive much attention from industry and researchers on various fields. The challenge is that wireless sensor networks have limited resources. Nevertheless, the route discovery in ZigBee sensor networks is performed by simple flooding when the original racket is rebroadcasted at least once by every node in a network. Such uncontrolled flooding generates an excessive number of packets competing for the media and causes a high collision rate. In this article, we propose a suitable packet Time-To-Live value to solve problems of uncontrolled flooding in ZigBee networks. It is shown that more sufficient route discovery in a ZigBee network can save network resources and lengthen the life of a sensor network.
