Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B Using Carbon-Doped Carbon Nitride under Visible Light

  • In this work, a carbon-doped carbon nitride photocatalyst is successfully synthesized through a simple centrifugal spinning method after heat treatment. The morphology and properties of the prepared photo catalyst are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis spectrophotometer (UV-vis), and specific surface area. The results show that the band gap of the prepared sample, g-CN-10 is 2.1 eV, is significantly lower than that of pure carbon nitride, 2.7 eV. As the amount of cotton candy increased, the absorption capacity of the prepared catalyst for visible light is significantly enhanced. In addition, the degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B (RhB) by sample g-CN-10 is 98.8 % over 2 h, which is twice that value of pure carbon nitride. The enhancement of photocatalytic ability is attributed to the increase of specific surface area after the carbon doping modifies carbon nitride. A possible photocatalytic degradation mechanism of carbon-doped carbon nitride is also suggested.

  • This study was designed to evaluate a repeated oral dose toxicity of Polyrhachis vicina Roger in 7-week-old Sprague-Dawley rats. Animals were orally administered with dosages of 0, 20, 100, and 500 mg/kg/day of Polyrhachis vicina Roger everyday for 26 weeks, respectively. There were no dose-related changes in clinical signs, body weight changes, food or water consumption, opthalmoscopy, and hematlogical and biochemical parameters by Polyrhachis vicina Roger treatment.(omitted)

  • This study was designed to evaluate a repeated dose toxicity of a new tsutsugamushi vaccine, MBRI-98305R in 4-month-old beagle dogs. Animals were intramuscularly injected with dosages of 283, 56.6, 14.15 and 0 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg everyday for 4 weeks, respectively. There were no dose-related statistical significant changes in clinical signs, body weight changes, food or water consumption, opthalmoscopy, hematological findings and biochemical examination of all animals treated with MBRI-98305R.(omitted)

  • This study was designed to evaluate a repeated intravenous dose toxicity of a new anticancer agent, SB extracted from Pulsatilla korean Nakai in Beagle dogs. Animals were intravenously injected with dosages of 0, 0.062, 0.25, and 1 mg/kg of SB everyday for 13 weeks, respectively. There were no dose-related changes in clinical signs, body weight changes, food and water consumptions, opthalmoscopy, and urine analysis. There were somewhat significant differences compared with control group in organ weight, biochemical examination, and hematology findings of animals treated with SB. However, these changes were not dose-related changes. Gross and histopathological findings revealed no evidence of specific toxicity related to SB. These indicate that intraveous maximum tolerated dose value of SB may be over 1mg/kg in rats.

  • An efficient and selective method for the synthesis of ethyl 2-amino/aryloxy-3-aryl-4-oxo-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidine-7-carboxylate derivatives has been developed. The main process involved the reaction of diethyl 1-phenyl-3-((triphenylphosphoranylidene)amino)-1H-pyrrole-2,4-dicarboxylate and aromatic isocyanates, followed by addition of amines/phenols in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium ethoxide or solid potassium carbonate.

A Study on the Meaning of Splenic Constipation Syndrome(脾約證) in Shanghanlun(傷寒論) (『상한론(傷寒論)』 비약증(脾約證)의 의미에 대한 소고(小考) - 179조와 247조의 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate splenic constipation syndrome(脾約證) in Shanghanlun by comparing 179 & 247 provisions. Methods : Including Shanghanlun, several texts which contain Cheng Wu-ji, Wan Mi-zhai, Qian Huang, Zhu Gong, Fang You-zhi, Yu Jia-yan, Zhang Lu, Cheng Ying-mao, Zhang Xi-ju, Chen Xiu-yuan, Wu Qian, Xu Ling-tai, You Zai-jing, Zhu Dan-xi's opinion about the splenic constipation syndrome were chosen and comparative consideration was carried out. Results & Conclusions : The following conclusions could be drawn. 247 provisions in Shanghanlun is different from 179 provisions because the beginning of the each splenic constipation syndrome is different. The difference between 179 & 247 provisions are proved by comparing Mild Purgative Decoction which is used Taiyangyangming splenic constipation syndrome and Fructus Cannabis Pill which is used Dorsal pedal pulse splenic constipation syndrome. Cheng Wu-ji's opinion that 179 & 247 provisions is different is meaningful because he is first investigated the different beginning of the splenic constipation syndrome. Several annotator's opinion which oppose Cheng Wu-ji is majority and they set a high value on Jangbu(臟腑) factor. Several annotator's opinion which agree Cheng Wu-ji is minority and they set a high value on splenic constipation syndrome also begins from Taiyangbing. The concept of overlapping of Taiyangyangming is different from the concept of Taiyangyangming. Consequently 179 & 247 provisions has to be distinguished.
