${\alpha}$-terthienyl the first isolated from natural products shows potent antitumor activity, which encouraged us to study terpyridine and its biological properties. Terpyridine has also been reported as having carcinogenicity, and it's erivatives showed high cytotoxic activities against several human cancer cell lines and topoisomerase I inhibitory ctivity. Mannich free base from condensation reaction was allowed to react with pyridinum salts to give activity. (omitted)

Histopathological diagnosis of brain stem glioma should be performed for the purpose of the determination of its management and clinical course, but its surgical biopsy has been followed by high mortality and morbidity. We performed the tissue sampling for histological examination with BRW stereotaxic system under local anesthesia successfully.

Fetal cystic hygroma is a rare congenital malformation of the lymphatic system appearing as a single or multiloculated fluid-filled cavity, most often in the neck, A case of fetal nuchal cystic hygroma was diagnosed by ultrasonography at 22 weeks of gestation and the diagnosis was confirmed at autopsy. We present the case with a brief review of literature.

Internuclear ophthalmoplegia is a conjugated gaze disorder characterized by impaired adduction on the side of a lesion involving the medial longitudinal fasciculus with dissociated nystagmus of the other abducting eye. Six patients with INO(who had clinical cerebrovascular diseases) underwent MR imaging and the results were as follows : 1. The MLF lesions were identified by MR imaging in 5 cases 2. The ratio of unilateral INO to bilateral INO was 5:1 3. The nature of lesions was infarction in 4 cases and hemorrhage in 1 case 4. The sites of MLF lesion were in the midbrain in 4 cases and in the pons in 1 case 5. All 5 cases of INO identified by MR imaging had other lesion sites in addition to MLF lesion.

Pharmacy residency program in Korea was first implemented in Seoul National University Hospital in 1983 to train hospital pharmacists regarding theories and practice which were not appropriately educated in the colleges of pharmacy. There are currently seven hospitals operating the program in Korea, and all of those are located in Metropolitan Seoul area. Most hospitals administer examination and interview to select competent pharmacists while some other hospitals select those based on paperwork and interview tests. Although the program contents are mostly similar, some variation were identified between the programs. Title conferred after accomplishment of the program has not been officially accredited by educational authority. In June of 2008, Korean Society of Health-System Pharmacists promulgated an internal regulation as an attempt to standardize the program contents and to encourage efficient management of the program. Since the regulation has now been effective, it is expected that the regulation may help clinical pharmacy education in Korea move toward advanced level.

비파괴검사, 수중탐지, 의료진단 등에 사용되는 초음파 탐촉자에 요구되는 가장 중요한 특성에는 높은 감도와 좋은 분해능이 있다. 본 연구에서는 압전초음파탐촉자의 구성요소(인덕터, 정합층, 후면재 등)가 감도와 분해능에 미치는 영향을 분석한 후, 광대역탐촉자의 구성 요소를 결정하였다. 또한 광대역탐촉자의 시작품을 제작하고 성능시험을 수행하여 이론예측과 실험결과가 잘 일치함을 보였다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of virtual exercise training programs on the improvement of balance in the elderly women. Methods: The subjects were fifteen female citizens, 67 years of age or older living in G city, the subjects were randomly divided into groups; Virtual exercise training group(n=9), control group (n=6). After treatment measured balance by Berg Balance scale test and One-leg stand test during virtual exercise training program at pre-intervention and post-intervention. Results : The results of this study were as follows : Virtual Exercise Training Program (Wii fit) after applying the Berg balance test scores and One-Legged Stance Test, the evaluation results showed significant results(p<05). Conclusion : Virtual exercise training programs can be used to improve the balance of the elderly, as it has been shown to increase Berg balance test and one-leg stand results conducted after virtual training programs. Virtual Exercise Programs(Wii fit) were applied to demonstrate the effecting the balance of the elderly to promote more research on the impact of the ADL survey.
