  • Ethanolic tetra carbonylhydridoferrate solution combined with dialdehyde (no of carbon; 4,5,6) is very efficient for the selective transformation of amino group into N-heterocyclic compound. However, a large variety of both aliphatic and aromatic amines react with the ferrate-pimelaldehyde at room temperature under an atmospheric pressure of carbon monoxide to give the corresponding N-(cyclohexylmethyl)-N-alkyiamine derivatives in moderate yields instead of the corresponding N-substituted perhydroazocine derivatives.

  • We have demonstrated highly efficient WOLED with two separated emissive layers using a blue fluorescent dye and a red phosphorescent dye. The maximum luminous efficiency of the device was 11.2 cd/A at $20\;mA/cm^2$ and $CIE_{x,y}$ coordinates varied from (x = 0.33, y = 0.37) at 6V to (x = 0.25, y = 0.33) at 14V.

  • Our previous studies showed that the relaxation defect of diabetic heart was due to the changes in the expressional levels of SR $Ca^{2+}$-ATPase and PLB. In the diabetic heart contractile abnormalities were also observed, and one of the mechanisms for these changes could include alterations in the expression and/or activity levels of various $Ca^{2+}$ regulatory proteins involving cardiac contraction.(omitted)

  • The recruitment and infiltration of monocytes into the artery wall is a crucial early step in atherogenesis. KR-31378 has been shown to be a neuroprotective agent in rat brain via its potent antioxidant and antiapoptotic actions. Here, we report the effects of this compound on atherogenesis, and some possible mechanisms of action.(omitted)

  • In the present study, type A influenza live virus, NC-22-8, which is a combination of a cold-adapted attenuated donor virus (HTCA-A101) and a wild type virus (A/New Caledonia/20/99), was constructed and the efficacy of this new virus was assessed by immunogenicity and protection tests in the mouse model. NC-22-8 (1'$10^7, 1'10^5, 1'10^3$ pfu/mouse) was intranasally administered to mice. Four weeks later, the titers of specific IgG and haemagglutinin inhibiton (HI) were measured from blood and the titer of secretary IgA (sIgA) was also detected from boncho alveolar lavage (BAL) and mucosal fluid.
