순간전압강하를 고려한 분산전원 최적위치 선정 (Optimal Placement of Distributed Generation Units Considering Voltage Sags)

  • This paper presents a method for determining the optimal placement of distributed generation units considering voltage sags. In general, the existing methods for distributed generation placement do not consider power quality problems such as voltage sags. In this paper, a novel method based on both genetic algorithm and voltage sag assessment is proposed for determining the placement of distributed generation unit. In the proposed method, the optimal placement is determined to minimize voltage sag effects and system losses.

  • The wind power generation systems have a fluctuating or intermittent power output due to the variability of the wind speed. The amount of wind generation which can be connected to the grid without causing voltage stability problems is limited. In this study, the simulation of the wind power generation including energy storage system were performed to reduce the fluctuation of wind power output and to obtain the optimal operation planning of energy storage system.

  • Since the last five years it has become a lot of solar power plants installed. However, by installing the large-scale solar power station it is not easy to predict the actual generation years. Because there are a variety of factors, such as changes daily solar radiation, temperature and humidity. If the power output can be measured accurately it predicts profits also we can measure efficiency for solar power plants precisely. Therefore, Prediction of power generation is forecast to be a useful research field. In this study, out discovering the factors that can improve the accuracy of the prediction of the photovoltaic power generation presents the means to apply them to the power generation amount prediction.

  • A small-scale wind power generation system with a switched-mode rectifier(SMR) is proposed. To simplify the converter circuit of the wind power generation system, the synchronous inductors of the permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG) replace the inductor for the boost converter. The sensorless maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control is carried out for the wind power generation system with the SMR. The proposed system is verified through the simulations and the experiments.

  • In this paper, a black box, which is provided the reliability and user safety of home battery energy storage system connected with solar energy generation, is developed. In the developed scheme, a status and diagnosis data of battery management system, power conditioning system, solar energy generation and grid is measured. This status and diagnosis data is stored and displayed in the developed black box. In addition, this status and diagnosis data is stored and displayed in a monitoring system and a smart phone of user. A performance evaluation of the developed black box is carried out using emulator of home battery energy storage system connected with solar energy generation. Consequently, the developed black box is proved its superiority of the reliability and user safety.

  • Dentin bonding systems are unique dental materials which are rapidly evolute and essential materials for bonding of restorative materials to dentin. Now, 4th generation, 5th generation, 6th generation and 7th generation of dentin bonding systems are used in clinic. We investigated the frequency, motivation of choosing dentin bonding systems and satisfaction of them by survey in 2014. 5th generation of dentin bonding systems are mostly used in Korea and young dentist have tendency to choose newly developed dentin bonding systems.

  • A stripline fed slot antenna for UWB communication is designed by using Ensemble simulator. The antenna has a broadband characteristics which causes a fork-like tuning stub. The ground of this antenna has two conductor lines for WLAN band(5GHz band) rejection.

  • In order to support ultrawide-band signal generation for low rate WPAN, several types of signal generation mechanisms are suggested such as Chaos, Impluse, and Chirp signals by the activity of IEEE 802.15.4a. The communication system applied chaos theory may have ultrawide-band characteristics with spread spectrum and immunity from multipath effect. In order to use the advantage of chaotic signal generation, we introduce the system implementation of communication and networking systems with the chaos UWB signal. This system may be composed of mainly three parts in hardware architecture : RF transmission with chaotic signal generation, signal receiver using amplifiers and filters, and 8051 & FPGA unit. The most difficult part is to implement the chaotic signal generator and build transceiver with it. The implementation of the system is devidced into two parts i.e. RF blocks and digital blocks with amplifiers, filters, ADC, 8051 processor, and FPGA. In this paper, we introduce the system block diagram for chaotic communications. Mainly the RF block is important for the system to have good performance based on the chaotic signal generator. And the main control board functions for controlling RF blocks, processing Tx and Rx data, and networking in MAC layer.
