  • 본 논문에서는 X-ray 영상에서 산란선 보정과 아티팩트 억제 및 선명도 개선을 위한 딥러닝 기법을 제시한다. 학습에 사용되는 흉부 X-ray 영상에서 배경영역 등 ROI가 아닌 영역의 특성으로부터 학습효과가 저하되는 현상을 보완하기 위하여 좌우 폐영역 등 조직구조를 분할하고 영역별로 학습하는 기법을 고려한다. 이를 위하여 BRAU-Net 기반의 조직구조 분할 기법을 제시하며, 흉부 X-ray 영상의 산란선 보정 문제에 대하여 DEA-Net, MB-TaylorFormer 모델을 사용한 방법을 제안하였다. 총 290개의 흉부 X-ray 영상을 사용한 실험을 통하여 제안된 이론의 타당성을 평가하였다.

Controlling the Morphology of Polyvinylidene-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-co-HFP) Membranes Via Phase Inversion Method (상전이법을 이용한 P(VDF-co-HFP) 분리막 구조제어)

  • In this work, the morphology of polyvinylidene-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-co-HFP) membranes were systemically investigated using phase inversion technique, to target membrane contactor applications. As the presence of macrovoids degrade the mechanical integrity of the membranes and jeopardize the long-term stability of membrane contactor processes (e.g. wetting), a wide range of dope compositions and casting conditions was studied to eliminate the undesired macrovoids. The type of solvent had significant effect on the membrane morphology, and the observed morphology were correlated to the physical properties of the solvent and solvent-polymer interactions. In addition, to fabricate macrovoid-free structure, the effects of different coagulation temperatures, inclusion of additives, and addition of nonsolvents were investigated. Due to the slow crystallization rate of P(VDF-co-HFP) polymer, it was found that obtaining porous membrane without macrovoids is difficult using only nonsolvent-induced phase separation method (NIPS). However, combined other phase inversion methods such as evaporation-induced phase separation (EIPS) and vapor-induced phase separation (VIPS), the desired membrane morphology can be obtained without any macrovoids.

  • 대학생들에서 높은 카페인과 알콜 섭취가 보고되고 있고 간호대학생의 경우 과중한 학습 뿐 아니라 임상실습을 경험하는 등 많은 스트레스로 과다섭취의 위험이 있는 집단이다. 카페인과 알콜은 수면과 밀접한 관계가 있으며 적절하지 못한 수면은 학습몰입에 방해요소 이다. M군에 소재한 4년제 대학교의 간호학과 재학생 148명을 대상으로 알코올 및 카페인 섭취량, 수면, 학습몰입에 대해 자가보고방식의 설문을 수행하였다. 통계방법으로 일반적 특성에 대해서는 평균, 백분률을 산출하였고, 각각의 변수들의 관계는 Pearson's correlation을 수행하였다. 대상자의 카페인 섭취량은 평균 $283.14{\pm}284.23$이였으며 알코올 섭취량은 평균 $339.19{\pm}620.09$이였다. 수면의 질 척도 점수 (PSQI Score)의 평균은 $5.24{\pm}3.02$이였으며 5점 초과인 대상자는 56명(37.8%), 5점 이하는 92명(62.2%)이었다. 카페인 섭취량과 수면 문제 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계 (r=.183, p=.026)였으며 7개의 항목 중 특히 총 밤 중 수면시간문제와 유의한 상관관계(r=.185, p=.025)가 나타났다. 카페인과 알코올의 과다 섭취는 수면 문제를 일으키게 되며 학습몰입에 영향을 주게 된다. 간호대학생의 경우 적정량의 카페인과 알코올 섭취를 위한 교육적 중재를 통한 신체적 뿐만이 아니라 정신적 건강 관리가 가능한 건강 전문인으로서의 양성이 필요하다.

A Patient with Ankylosing Spondylitis Treated with Acupotomy and Traditional Korean Medicine

  • This case report relates to a 40-year old male patient diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis who was treated with acupotomy and traditional Korean medicine. He showed a significant improvement in joint range of motion (ROM) in cervical and lumbar vertebrae, and in pain and functional disorder symptoms. The patient received acupotomy, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine and physical therapy (November 26, 2018 to December 17, 2018). Joint ROM for cervical and lumbar vertebrae was measured, and the pain level was assessed using a numerical rating scale. The functional disorder and quality of life scales were also assessed using the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index, Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index, Korean Health Assessment Questionnaire, and Modified Health Assessment Questionnaire. After applying acupotomy and traditional Korean medicine, the patient exhibited increased joint ROM and reduced pain, also in conjunction with improved responses in functional disorder and quality of life.

  • Hydrogels for medical devices such as hydrophilic dressing, moisturizing healing band, hydrophilic intravenous catheter and soft contact lens were evaluated for their cytotoxicity according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures. To test indirect cytotoxicity of hydrogel products, dissolution medium and dissolution condition were selected based on the guideline for medical devices. Cytotoxicity was low in all the case of hydrogel products. Soft contact lens showed no significant difference in dissolution between complete medium and saline. Currently, there is no specific guidelineto test hydrogel for medical devices in Korea with consideration of characteristics of hydrogel. Thus, proper method of cytotoxicity evaluation should be selected depending on the characteristics and usages of hydrogels for medical devices.

Development and validation of a selective and sensitive LC-MS/MS method for determination of misoprostol acid in human plasma: Application to bioequivalence study

  • A rapid, sensitive and specific method was developed and validated using electrospray ionization (ESI) tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for determination of misoprostol acid in human plasma. Misoprostol $acid-d_5$ was used as in internal standard (IS). The analyte and IS were extracted by simple one step solid phase extraction (SPE). Linearity in plasma was obtained over the concentration range 10~3000 pg/mL and lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) was identifiable and reproducible at 10 pg/mL. The intra- and inter-day precision values were below 9% and the accuracy was ranged from 93.81% to 102.02% at all four quality control samples. The method was has been successfully applied for routine assay to support pharmacokinetic study of misoprostol acid in human plasma after an oral administration of 0.4 mg misoprostol.
