비사실적 렌더링은 인간 친화적인 영상을 생성하기 위해 사람이 손으로 그린듯한 느낌의 영상 생성을 목적으로 한다 좀더 넓은 범위에서의 의미는 사실감을 추구하지 않는 영상을 생성하는 모든 수단으로서 정의될 수 있으며, 따라서 사람이 손으로 그리기에 비현실적일 수 있는 영상의 형태까지도 포함된다. 80년대 말부터 90년대 초 연구결과가 주목받기 시작하면서 이후 10여년간 주목할만한 많은 연구내용들이 발표되어 왔다. 특히, 최근에는 상업적 측면에서의 관심이 증가하면서 애니메이션, 광고, 게임, 의료, 건축, 기계 등 다양한 분야에서의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 응용 분야의 특성 상 앞으로 해결해야 할 문제들이 많이 남아 있다. 본 논문에서는 비사실적 렌더링의 발전과 주요한 기술들에 대해서 설명한다. 또한 최근의 연구 동향을 바탕으로 앞으로의 발전 방향을 제시한다.

The theory of Bartleson and Breneman that the perceived image contrast changes with surround luminance (the lighter surround provides higher contrast) was tested an over bright condition($8500d/m^2$). Contrarily to the Bartleson and Breneman's results, we observed the fact that perceived constrast was decreased when surround huminance increased from dark to over bright through two sets of psychophysical experiments based upon both uniform gray patches and complex color images.

This study has been carried out to investigate the microstructure of austempered high carbon cast steel with the variation of silicon and heat treatment conditions. The results show that an lower ausferritic structure is formed at the low austemepring temperature ($250{\sim}300^{\circ}C$) and an upper ausferritic structure is formed at the high austemepring temperature ($350{\sim}400^{\circ}C$). As an austempering temperature increased, the retained austenite volume fraction increased, however hardness decreased. Also, as a silicon content increased, the precipitation of cementite was suppressed, therefore 2nd reaction of autempering transformation was delayed.

Purpose: We evaluated patient nutritional status in a home care setting. Method: We recruited 81 patients who received in-home care using a screening sheet. The level of nutrition-related serum marker (albumin) was checked via medical records and data analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-tests, and $X^2$-test. Results: Nutritional status varied according to the primary medical diagnosis. Poor nutritional status was significantly higher in cancer patients than in other diseases. Serum albumin levels were significantly lower in the malnutrition group than the good nutrition group. Conclusions: Nutrition screening can determine the nutritional status in home care patients. Home care nurse practitioners should consider nutritional status when assessing patient health.

Many researches showed that perceived image contrast increases as the relative surround luminance increases. However, most experiments were conducted under limited surround conditions. In this research, a psychophysical experiment was conducted to investigate the change in perceived image contrast under wide range of surround luminance up to 1820 cd/$m^2$. A large area illuminator was used as a backlight. It consists of 23 dimmable fluorescent lamps and a sheet of diffuser. The luminance could be adjusted to 7 different surround ratios: 0, 0.3, 0.56, 0.96, 2.24, 5.81, and 9.99. Results showed that perceived image contrast changes as a typical band-pass shape and the maximum contrast is found near $S_R$=1.

The 13-hydroxyberbine(1), derived from berberinephenolbetaine, has been derivatized to furnish a variety of compounds such as 13-oxoberbine(2), 13-thioberbine(3), 13-chloroberbi ne(4), 13-(2-methylaziridine)berbine(5) and 13-carbolactoneberbine(6). Antitumor activity of these compounds was tested.
