We present a quantification protocol to get the alignment factors of a custom-made spectrometer and the nonlinear fitting function between the measured CCD pixel domain and the wavelength domain to apply the spectral-domain optical coherence tomography using fiber Bragg gratings. We have used 4 different center wavelength gratings with a narrow spectral bandwidth (<0.05 nm) and the same reflectivity (>92 %) to calibrate and align the custom-made spectrometer.

This paper presents an algorithm for building detection from aerial image using segment measure function and line relation. In the detection algorithm proposed, edge detection, linear approximation and line linking are used and then line measure function is applied to each line segment in order to improve the accuracy of linear approximation. Parallelisms, orthogonalities are applied to the extracted liner segments to extract building. The algorithm was applied to aerial image and the buildings were accurately detected.

DC-offset is a very important subject in power systems protection, since DC-offset causes mal-operation of the distance relay. This paper deals with the influence of a FIR filter used for removing the DC-offset upon the convergence characteristics of distance relaying algorithm based on Fourier Transform.
