  • With the most popular and beloved Verdi's "La Traviata" as the subject in the year 2001, which is the 100th anniversary of his death, the present study discusses the arias by the main character "Violetta" and the characteristics, images, clothes and their symbolism expressed through and stage costumes of major performances shown in Korea and abroad. Furthermore, the purposes of the present study are to propose a new fashion brand image called "Violetta look" by incorporating this image into current fashion to join fashion and stage, and to actually design and producing these clothes. Therefore, stage costumes of characters shown in the limited space called stage were connected with the study of characters' images and applied into the current fashion as a brand image, and from the industrial aspect, a high value added fashion brand image was created.

  • This study analyzed the group of experts who were related to cubism, selected among the works of 2010~2013 Paris Collection based on F.G.R.(Focus Group Research). According to the results of this study, there were appeared first, 'a one-piece dress' second, 'H silhouette' third, 'cotton', in case of item distribution and frequency. The analysis was done by using the manner of expression, cubical expression, exaggeration, distortion, dismantlement, geometrical division of face, mix-match look, wraparound repetition, asymmetric structure, etc. Based on the outcomes of the analysis on figurative design elements, this study adjusted three manners appearing on cubism fashion style. First, it was 'avant garde manner' of constitution or 'dismantlement' which was compiled into multi-view representations of overlaps and viewpoints by repetitive use of color tone trimming detail. Second, it was 'geomagnetic block placement' which expresses cubism with geometric partitioning of surface and separation of panel by cutting disintegration. Finally, it was 'distortion and simplification of silhouette' which is a distortion created by constitution-line pressed thin with silhouette. It maximizes the beauty of human body outline, which was distorted by three-dimensional-manipulation, and simplified by ellipsis for another shape for the extension or expansion of detail trimming.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the street style of women in Dalian, China. 1.185 females of Dalian central street have participated for the survey of this study. This study analyzes characterization of the street style and, classifies it's characteristics by age groups, clothing styles, and clothing items. There are three outcomes due to the aim of this study, 1. In age group classification, every age groups preferred casual style. Especially, young/young adults preferred mix-match styles with various designs. Distinctly, some of missy group preferred fashion trend and others preferred mature style. Also, the preference of missies/madame's group is obviously divided into two groups which pursues fashion trend and not. 2. In clothing style classification, casual styles such as mini-skirts, hot pants, tight t-shirts are mostly in tight silhouette. Also, the main colors are indigo-blue, white, black and point color, which are vivid tone and fluorescent colors. The characteristics of sport casual style contribute the upper garment and the lower garment, which forms a set. Classic styles are divided into two groups of typical formal dress and traditional Qipao dress. The colors of feminine style and textile printing are more sumptuous than other styles. 3. In clothing items classification, the points of the upper garments is the construction of designs, textile printing, ornament with beads, embroidery, and ribbon etc., exposed back. The lower garments like hot pants and mini-skirts are made of jeans. The cargo pants that is made of jean, cotton, luster textile. Also, one-piece dress has the characteristics of tiered and irregular hem line.

스트리트 패션에 나타난 Matchless Style분석 - 캐주얼 및 여성복을 중심으로- (Analysis of 'Matchless' Style in Street Fashion -Focus on Casual and Women's Wear-)

  • The aim of this study is to define the concept of the matchless, and its social and cultural origins. I shall also define the different types of Matchless style, the respective characteristics of each style, and the distinguishing features of this style in domestic street fashion. In order to do this, 1 have referred to several published studies and a number of Web-sites of Korean fashion information companies for my research. The results of this study are the following; 1. The concept of matchless is a positive way of self-expression by coordination, created by consumers who attach great importance to their image and to developing their individual style. Also, this concept constitutes a new approach to code which reanalyzes existing styles with a new sensitivity. 2. The social & cultural origins of matchless are the expansion of fear of war and terror, and economic depression, the extension of the 5-day workweek, interest in 'Well-being', and the phenomena of cultural diversity. 3. The types of Matchless are Style Matchless, Theme Matchless, Texture Matchless, Season Matchless, and Complex-Layered Matchless. 4. The distinguishing features of Matchless in street fashion are the distinction of formal & Casual wear's Matchless, the creation of a new Look in Sports & Casual wear's Matchless, the development of a new coordinated, layered look, the immense popularity of Denim, the new fashionable versions of Military style, and the renaissance of the Romantic Feminine Look.

패션라이프스타일 유형에 따른 SPA 브랜드 인지, 태도 및 구매경험에 관한 연구 (Cognition, Attitude and Purchasing Experience of SPA Brands by Types of Fashion Lifestyle)

  • The purposes of this study were to classify respondents by their fashion lifestyle and to investigate the differences in cognition, attitude and purchasing experience of SPA brands among fashion lifestyle groups. The convenience sample was drawn from females between the ages of 20 and 39 who lived in Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions from November $1^{st}$ and $15^{th}$ 2012. Descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Tukey test, and ${\chi}^2$ test were applied to analyze data from 255 respondents. Four clusters (fashion-oriented group, fashion indifferent group, conservative individuality-oriented group, conservative practicality-oriented group) were developed by 16 fashion lifestyle items. The attitude toward SPA brand was classified by six factors(fashionability/variety, good location, good quality, diverse promotions, low price, limited number of merchandise, sales person's information). There were significant differences in cognition, five attitude factors (fashionability/variety, good location, good quality, low price, limited number of merchandise) and purchasing experience of SPA brands among types of fashion lifestyle. While the fashion-oriented group had the highest scores of cognition, attitude and purchasing experience of SPA brands, the fashion indifferent group or the conservative practicality-oriented group had the lowest scores. There were significant differences in age and marital status among the four groups while there were no significant differences in marital status, family monthly income, and job.

한국 패션디자인·미학 분야의 연구동향 - 「복식」(2001~2010)을 중심으로 - (A Survey on the Research Trends of Fashion Design·Aesthetic Field in Korea - Focused on the Journal of the Korean Society of Costume (2001~2010) -)

  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate research trends of subject matter in fashion design aesthetic field in clothing and textiles and to suggest the information for the future directions for fashion business and research. 1089 articles with clothing and textiles subject matter, 523 articles with fashion design aesthetic field in the Journal of Korean Society of Costume from 2001 through 2010 were analyzed. The major conclusions of the study are as the following: 1. Fashion design aesthetic field took absolute majority in the researches of the clothing and textiles in the Journal of Korean Society of Costume, in the 2000s. 2. Fashion design aesthetic field showed more proportions in the latter half of the decade. 3. History of costume, fashion marketing field were followed. Textiles science field took extremely little proportion. 4. In fashion design aesthetic field, topic of fashion design elements and types took absolute majority. 5. Fashion aesthetics, fashion design development, makeup hair style topics were followed.

PBL을 활용한 <패션의 이해> 수업 사례 및 학습효과 (Effects and class case of problem based learning in )

  • 사범대학 가정교육과 <패션의 이해> 과목에서 새로운 교수학습방법인 PBL을 시도하고 그 효과를 살펴보았다. 패션과 사회문화 부분에서는 '패션 에디터', 패션디자인 부분에서는 '패션 스타일리스트'를 체험하는 2개의 PBL 문제를 개발하고 수업을 설계한 후 가정교육과 대학생 29명을 대상으로 2번의 PBL 수업을 진행하였다. PBL 수업효과는 학생들의 성찰일지를 키워드 중심의 내용분석과 빈도분석으로 살펴보았고, 자기평가와 학습만족도는 평균과 표준편차로 분석하였다. PBL의 학습효과는 협동학습에 대한 이해, 관련 지식 습득 및 적용, 실제 경험 및 체험, 자아성찰 및 변화된 자신, 문제해결력 향상으로 나타났다. PBL 수업에 대한 학생들의 자기평가와 학습만족도는 높은 편이었다. 그러나 PBL 학습과정에서 학생들은 팀원 간의 관계를 가장 힘들어했으며 시간이 부족하다고 하였다.

  • 안경의 역사는 인쇄술의 발전과 함께 시작되었다고 할 수 있다. 맨 처음 안경은 가죽으로 만들어 졌다. 그 이후 나무나 뿔, 혹은 뼈로서 안경테를 만들고, 수정이나 유리로 렌즈를 만들어 끼운 단 안경 두 개의 대못으로 연결시킨 대못안경(Riveted Spectacles)이 개발된 이래 안경테는 수많은 스타일로 변화되어 왔다. 그 후 코다리(Bridge)의 개발, 다리 (Temple)의 등장으로 오늘날의 안경의 형태가 나오기 시작했고, 오늘날 다양한 디자인과 소재들이 개발되면서 실용적이며 안경의 스타일에 이르게 되었다. 그럼으로, 안경제조업체와 안경디자이너들은 새로운 안경패션 트랜드를 리드할 수 있는 디자인 개발에 주력하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재의 안경테가 있기 까지 역사적 발달과정을 통한 다양한 스타일의 안경테를 분석하고, 디자인의 목적인 형태와 기능의 관점에서 안경디자인의 방법적 요소를 조사해보고자 한다.

셀러브리티 패션에서 표현된 게토 스타일 연구 (A Study of Ghetto Style expressed in Celebrity Fashion)

  • Ghetto was originated from the concept of "Jewish Camp", the segregated Jewish residential area, and recently it refers to the black neighborhoods of the poor living conditions or slum. A region to form a unique culture distinguished from the adjacent area is also called as ghetto. The culture born in that region is called "ghetto culture", and from the cultural aspect it can mean a type of haven that allows the freedom and deviation of their own. In this study, the generating background and the characteristics of ghetto style especially to adolescents were examined, and celebrities' unique fashion styles that lead the public in the fashion diffusion process were analyzed. Through this, Ghetto culture was understood and the effects of the mass culture phenomena on fashion, symbolization, and an aesthetic value were examined. With this, it aims to help understand the effect of special local culture like "ghetto" on modern fashion and expand the design area. As a result of this study, the characteristics of ghetto style were as followings; 1. It is based on hiphop style; 2. The name brands are exposed conspicuously; 3. Caught eyes by unusually excessive decorations; 4. It expresses confidence and toughness through fashion beyond the resistance to the target who suppresses and humiliates themselves; 5. Ghetto culture is rapidly spread through media. To conclude, ghetto style is an expression of hope of the poor that they can gain wealth through impressing the public and drawing empathy just by their talent. Furthermore, ghetto style is an important cultural trend that has appeared as their wannabe and a powerful display method to express success.

국내$\cdot$외 실버 브랜드에서의 패션 트렌드 반영에 관한 연구 (The Development about Fashion Trend Reflection in a Dmestic and foreign Silver Brand)

  • The realistic plan to establish a silver market in the clothing industries has not taken concrete shape, although the interest in the establishment of a silver market targeting the aged as a new custom group Is gradually Increasing because the rapid development of science and medical technology in the 20th century has led to an extension of lift and improvement of living conditions. The specialized business which produces and sells the clothing for the elderly is of small number and most of the clothes for the elderly are manufactured and sold by the companies for women's clothing in which change the size or length of the original works rather than reflect the bodily features of the elderly. The findings indicated that domestic brands showed the coordinated concept of a suit of jacket and slacks or skirts while the clothes were formed with a variety of coordinations centering around single article in the U.S brands. But, there was no difference in the use of natural materials centering around cotton and silk etc. and in the use of embroidery, lace and decorative details between the two countries. The knit brands of knit suit style in Korea were formed with the items focused on pull over and cardigan twin set, while the U.S brands were mainly formed with the design of knit suit style. The domestic knit brands were mostly developed with complicated patterns and gorgeous colors, while most of the U.S. brands were presenting a single or two tone color suit style and evening one-piece dress with a simple and modern style. The sporty casual brands of sporty casual style in Korea had a variety of colors and patterns focused on function and comfort for diverse leisure activities and daily life, while the U.S brands were established to present a variety of styles with the items of single article because they had a separate brand for casual even though it was not a exclusive brand for the elderly This study has a meaning in the presentation of the design idea considering the bodily shape of the elderly compared to the ready-to-wear considering the size alone, by examining the characteristics of bodice according to the physical change of the elderly women, analyzing the design of madam brand and the style of the ready-to-wear, researching the general circumstances of the brand for the elderly women, and highlighting the necessity of the elderly clothing market.
