자발 '청간탕'이 HepG2 cell의 염증반응에 대한 연구 (Effect of Zibachunggan-tang on lipopolysaccharide-induced expression of NF-kB downstream genes in HepG2 cell)

  • To determine the effect of Zibachunggan-tang(ZCT) on the process of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nuclear factor-kBp65 (NF-kBp65) activation, and LPS-induced expression of pro-inflammatory proteins including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), in HepG2 cell. Immunoblot analysis showed that the level of nucleic NF-kBp65 was rapidly up-regulated and cytosolic inhibitory I-kBα was down-regulated by LPS challenge. While ZCT inhibited an increase of NF-kBp65 and degradation of I-kBα in HepG2 cell. Beside LPS-induced expression of a group of genes, such as TNF-α, inducible iNOS and COX-2, are repressed by ZCT. It may be concluded that ZCT attenuates the progress of LPS-induced inflammation by reduction of NF-kBp65 activation. The ZCT would be useful as a therapeutic agent for endotoxin-induced liver disease.

  • The formation free energy of Y2Cu2O5 was measured by the partial ion exchanged (Cu2+, Na+)-$\beta$/$\beta$"-Al2O3 as solid state electrolyte. The formation cell was built as follows: Pt(O2)/Y2Cu2O5+Y2O3//(Cu2+, Na+)-$\beta$/$\beta$"-Al2O3//CuO/(O2)Pt The virtual formation formation formula, and the calculated formation free energy of Y2Cu2O5 as a function of temperature are as follows: 2CuO+Y2O3=Y2Cu2O5 ΔfG0/kJ.mol-1=13.19-16.25*10-3T/K.5*10-3T/K.

  • McClintock 와 Walsh 의 개념을 발전시키므로써 2차와 3차계에서의 열적 기계적 파괴 기준식을 구하였다. Griffith Theory 와 파괴역학에 기초를 두고서 전개된 응력세기 인수로만 표기된 2차와 3차계의 파괴기준식은 동일한 관계식 즉, ( $k_{2}$/ $k_{2c}$ )$^{2}$+ $k_{1}$/ $k_{1c}$ =1로 표시된다는 것을 보였다. 3차계에서 열적 기계적 하중하에서 응역세기 인수에 관한 일반식을 Crack 의 닫힘을 고려하여 유도하였다.

  • Methacrylate와 Cyclopentadiene을 반응하여 5-methylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-5-carboxylate (MBHC)를 합성하고 만들어진 MBHC를 Column Chromatography를 이용하여 Endo와 Exo를 분리하였고, MBHC에 붙는 작용기에 따른 수율 및 Endo, Exo의 비율을 확인하였다.

Structure and Magnetic Properties of Cr2O3/CrO2 Nanoparticles Prepared by Reactive Laser Ablation and Oxidation under High Pressure of Oxygen

  • $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles were prepared via one-step reactive laser ablation of Cr in oxygen. The metastable $CrO_2$ phase was obtained through the subsequent oxidation of $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles under $O_2$ with gas pressures of up to 40 MPa. The as-prepared $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles are spherical or rectangular in shape with sizes ranging from 20 nm to 50 nm. High oxygen pressure annealing is effective in producing meta-stable $CrO_2$ from as-dried $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles, and the $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles exhibit a weak ferromagnetic behavior with an exchange bias of up to 11 mT that can be ascribed to the interfacial exchange coupling between uncompensated surface spins and the antiferromagnetic core. The $Cr_2O_3/CrO_2$ nanoparticles exhibit an enhanced saturation magnetization and a reduced exchange bias with an increasing faction of $CrO_2$ due to the elimination of uncompensated surface spins over the $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles when exposed to a high pressure of $O_2$ and/or possible phase segregation that results in a smaller grain size for both $Cr_2O_3$ and $CrO_2$.

  • 새로운 구조의 2-[4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy]-propionamide 유도체를 합성하여 밭조건하에서 발아후 경엽처리하여 제초 활성을 시험하였다. 합성된 대부분의 화합물은 피에 대해 높은 제초 활성을 나타내었고, 그 중에서 2-[4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy]-N-(2-fluoro-phenyl)-N-methyl propionamide는 벼에 좋은 선택성을 보였다.

Suppression of Transglutaminase-2 is Involved in Anti-Inflammatory Actions of Glucosamine in 12-O-Tetradecanoylphorbol-13-Acetate-Induced Skin Inflammation

  • Glucosamine (GS) is well known for the treatment of inflammation. However, the mechanism and efficacy of GS for skin inflammation are unclear. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects and mechanism of GS in the mouse 12-O-tetradecanoyl 13-acetate (TPA)-induced ear edema model. TPA-induced ear edema was evoked in ICR or transglutaminase 2 (Tgase-2) (-/-) mice. GS was administered orally (10-100 mg/kg) or topically (0.5-2.0 w/v %) prior to TPA treatment. Orally administered GS at 10 mg/kg showed a 76 or 57% reduction in ear weight or myeloperoxidase, respectively, and a decreased expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), NF-${\kappa}B$ and Tgase-2 in TPA-induced ear edema by western blot and immunohistochemistry. Role of Tgase-2 in TPA ear edema is examined using Tgase-2 (-/-) mice and TPA did not induce COX-2 expression in ear of Tgase-2 (-/-) mice. These observations suggested that Tgase-2 is involved in TPA-induced COX-2 expression in the inflamed ear of mice and antiinflammatory effects of glucosamine is mediated through suppression of Tgase-2 in TPA ear edema.

안양천에서 QUAL2E와 QUAL2K 모델의 적용 및 평가 (Evaluation and Application of QUAL2E and QUAL2K Models in Anyang Stream)

  • QUAL2K는 QUAL2E 모델의 단점을 개선하고 편의성을 향상시킨 모델로 입자성 유기물, 부착조류, 탈질화 및 퇴적층-수체 상호작용 등을 추가 반영하였으며, CBOD는 느린 CBOD와 빠른 CBOD 두 가지로 구분하여 현실화 하였다. QUAL2E와 QUAL2K 모델을 안양천에 적용하여 DO, BOD, Org-N, NH$_3$-N, NO$_3$-N, Org-P, Dis-P 및 Chl-a 등 8개 수질항목을 모의하여 결과를 비교 분석하였다. Org-N, NH$_3$-N, Org-P 및 Chl-a는 두 모델에서 비슷한 결과가 나타났으나, DO, BOD, NO$_3$-N 및 Dis-P는 다른 결과가 나타났다. 이는 QUAL2K에 추가된 부착조류, 탈질화, 퇴적층-수체의 상호작용 및 입자성 유기물의 영향에 기인한 것으로 판단된다. DO는 부착조류의 영향으로 낮게 나타났고, BOD는 입자성 유기물의 영향으로 높게 나타났다. NO3-N은 퇴적층-수체의 상호작용과 탈질화의 영향으로 실측치에 더 가깝게 나타났다. 모의 결과를 단순통계인자를 이용하여 평가하였으며, 대부분 수질항목에서 상대오차와 분산계수가 QUAL2E보다 QUAL2K에서 작게 나타났다. 자연현상을 좀더 실제에 가깝게 모의할 수 있는 QUAL2K 모델은 하천 및 하천화한 호소 수질관리에 적절히 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Three heteroleptic ruthenium sensitizers, Ru(L)($L^1)(NCS)_2$ [L = 4,4'-dicarboxylic acid-2,2'-bipyridine, Ru-T1: $L^1$ = (E)-2-(4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyridin-4-yl)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)acrylonitrile, Ru-T2: $L^2$ = (E)-3-(5'-hexyl-2,2'-bithiophen-5- yl)-2-(4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyridin-4-yl)acrylonitrile, and Ru-T3: $L^3$ = (E)-3-(5"-hexyl-2,2':5',2"-terthiophen-5-yl)-2- (4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyridin-4-yl)acrylonitrile)], were synthesized and used as photosensitizers in nanocrystalline dyesensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The introduction of the 3-(5-hexyloligothiophen-5-yl)acrylonitrile group increased the conjugation length of the bipyridine donor ligand and thus improved their molar absorption coefficient and light harvesting efficiency. DSSCs with the configuration of Sn$O_2$: F/Ti$O_2$/ruthenium dye/liquid electrolyte/Pt devices were fabricated using these Ru-$T1{\sim}T3$ as a photosensitizers. Among the devices, the DSSCs composed of Ru-T2 exhibited highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2.84% under AM 1.5 G illumination (100 mW/$cm^2$).
