XML은 웹 상에서 정보를 전달하고 저장하는데 있어 가장 주목을 받고 있는 언어이다. XML로 표현된 정보는 의미가 부여됨으로서 보다 정확하고 빠른 검색을 제공한다. 반면에, XML 문서는 논리적으로는 유사하지만 구조적 측면에서 서로 다른 표현방식으로 작성됨으로 인해, 이 기종 시스템 및 장치를 갖는 문서처리 환경에서 문서를 교환하고 공유하는데 어려움이 있다. 이 논문에서는 객체 지향 클래스 다이어그램을 XML DTD로 변환하고, 동일 주제에 대해 서로 다른 구조로 작성된 XML DTD 문서를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 구조 정보 표현과 인덱스 메카니즘을 설계하였다. 제안된 방법을 이용함으로써 특정 엘리먼트에 대한 효율적이고 빠른 검색을 지원할 수 있으며, 간단한 연산으로 엘리먼트에 접근을 용이하게 할 수 있는 효과가 기대된다.

본 연구팀에 개발한 UML 그래픽 편집 도구를 이용하여서 소프트웨어를 개발하는 과정에서 발생하는 설계 정보는 모델 관련 정보와 뷰에 관한 정보들을 데이터베이스에 저장 관리된다. 이들을 Web 통해서 UML 설계 정보의 관리와 공유하기 위해서 UML 설계 정보를 미리 정의한 XML DTD를 이용하여 XML 파일로 변환한 후에 이를 개발자와 개발 도구들간에 교환하여 공유한다. 본 논문에서는 정의한 UDXF DTD를 이용하여서 UML 설계 정보를 XML 파일 형태로 변환한 후에 UML 설계 정보를 웹 기반의 분산 환경에서 공유하기 위한 설계정보 저장소에 관한 연구이다.

사업 영역 확대와 네트워크 발달로 인해 전자상거래(Electronic Commerce)는 점차 국제적 환경으로 확대되고 있으며, 장소나 시간에 구애받지 알고 정보를 전송할 수 있게 되었다. 거래되는 업무가 증가됨에 따라 거래내용, 결제 내용(계좌번호, 카드번호 등), 비밀번호 등 교환되는 정보의 종류도 다양해져 보안의 중요성이 대두되었다. 이에 데이터 사용 효율과 응용 가능성을 높이기 위해 차세대 인터넷 표준으로 대두되고 있는 XML을 메시지 처리 단위로 정의하고, XML 기반의 인터넷 메시징 시스템인 IMSX (Internet Messaging System based on XML)을 설계하였으며, 보안 위협으로부터 대응하기 위해 암호화(Encryption)와 전자서명(Digital Signature) 등의 메시지 레벨의 응용 보안을 적용하였다. 또한 문서 송신, 문서 수신, 검색, 문서 변환, 템플릿(Template) 제공, 보안 서비스 등을 선정하여 구현하였다.

This paper presents the development of gateway for smart grid for the interoperable communication between IEC 61850 station leveled devices and one of legacy Modbus, DNP3, and IEC60870-5-101/104/103 communication protocol devices of bay level in substation or for the exchange of information between IEC 61850 substation and SCADA control center. The data-mapping model is designed for the exchange of information and the gateway configuration tool is developed for generating meta-data based on XML Schema. this paper is mostly concerned with the design and realization of gateway system for the interoperable data communication between a legacy protocol device and IEC61850 based devices or systems.

In this paper, autonomous information exchange methodology is studied between IEDS using SOAP protocol based on XML and PtP communication. Inference-based solution of the IED identifies the faulted zone autonomously from free information exchange among IEDs, transmits the operation information to the above SCADA system, also determines whether it executes or not for commands from the above SCADA. Finally, Inference-based solution is implemented using MS Visual C++ MFC, MS SOAP and MS XML. Availability and accuracy of the design is verified from simulation reviews for typical distribution substation.

A mobile computing environment has many difference in character from conventional communication over wired network. These include very presents distributed design system based the mobile agent for mobile computing environment. To integrate design resource, we presented ISA(Integration Service Agent, which allows a designer to build integrated application using distributed resources, and to collaborative by exchanging service. Also we propose ICM(XML based Intelligent Connection Manger) using mobile agent. And suggested new intelligent data and process transfer architecture using ICM to implement an agent based design system in mobile environment.

This paper presents the method that allows easy and rapid integration of legacy resources within the company and between departments. The proposed system can easily construct a distributed environment for collaborative design between departments in the companies. It supports knowledge-based integration system, which allows designers to develop product with deep knowledge about product design. For the purpose, DOME (Distributed Object-based Modeling Environment)-which has been developed through various studies-was used in this paper. To overcome its problems and insufficiency, the Web-Integrator is proposed. The Web-Integrator is very suitable for an Internet environment because it uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) and XML (extensible Markup Language) as its main communication method. By supporting the remote object access via URL (Uniform Resource Locator), the implementation of the integrated system makes the Web-Integrator systematic and intuitive. All the functions and resources provided by DOME could be used with the interface that enables bi-directional communication with the DOME system. Web-Integrator provides full web-based environments for the general designers, who do not have a full design knowledge and experience, and the proposed system allows design operations to happen at any place and anytime. Also it provides XML-RPC(Remote Procedure Call) based web service framework, which allows other systems to use easily the service that the DOME system supplies regardless the location and the platform.

컴퓨터 및 초고속 정보통신망의 발전에 따라 사회는 지식 정보화 사회로 거듭나고 있고 이러한 상황에 서 국가의 경쟁력 확보를 위해 창의적이고. 논리적인 사고력을 갖춘 인재양성이 필수적이다. 이와 같은 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 정보통신 기술을 활용하여 다양한 학습방식을 도입한 열린 교육환경을 구축하고, 정보 통신망을 통한 언제, 어디서, 누구나 새로운 지식과 기술을 습득할 수 있는 평생학습 체계의 구축이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 가상교육 시스템의 사례 및 구성요소를 고찰하고, 학생 모드, 교수 모드, 관리자 모드에서 필요한 요구사항에 맞게 가상교육 시스템을 설계하였다. 시스템의 아키텍처 및 XML 3-tier 모델의 연구와 설계한 시스템에 적합한 개발 프로그램의 검토, 그리고 데이터베이스를 설계하였다. 또한, n을 기반으로 하여 웹을 통한 서비스를 제공함으로 학생, 교수 및 관리자로 하여금 원활한 가상교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 시스템의 성능 및 장애요인을 평가하여 이를 해결하였다.
