흉선 지방종[1례 보고] (Thymolipoma - One Case Report -)

  • The thymolipoma is rather rare benign tumor of the thymus. One case of huge thymolipoma, seen in a 11-year-old boy, is presented. It is about 2.16kg. He had some chest discomfort. The chest film showed homogeneous haziness fills the left hemithorax, On chest CT scan, multiple small amorphous soft tissue densities were recognized as islands within a large fatty mass. Tumor resection was performed through left anterolateral thoracotomy. The mass was yellowish soft, measured 29x19Xllcm, 12X7.5x3.5cm, 7.0X3.0X1.0cm. Microscopically, the tumor was comprised of abundant mature adipose tissue and normal thymic tissue.

TDX-10 packet handler의 성능분석

  • ISDN으로 통합되고 있는 중요한 서비스 중의 하나가 데이터의 효율적인 전달을 위한 패킷모드 서비스이다. 이 패킷모드 서비스는 융통성이 있는 대역폭할당이 가능하고 하나의 물리적 채널을 동시에 복수개의 논리적 채널로 사용할 수 있다. CCITT권고안 X.31은 현존하고 있는 X.25패킷 터미날을 ISDN으로의 액세스를 지원하기 위한 두 가지의 시나리오를 설명하고 있다. ISDN교환기로서 개발되고 있는 TDX-10 전자교환기는 패킷처리기(Packet Handler)가 ISDN내에서 패킷모드 서비스를 제공하는 X.31의 Case B를 채택하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모든 패킷 트래픽이 집중되어 처리되는 패킷처리기 역할을 하는 패킷처리 서브시스템(Packet Handling Subsystem)의 구조를 간략하게 설명하였다. 또한 TDX-10 패킷처리기의 성능을 제시하기 위하여 패킷처리기를 큐잉 네트워크를 이용하여 모델링하고, SLAM II를 사용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 그 결과 부가된 트래픽 변화에 따른 각 프로세서의 CPU점유율 및 입력큐에서의 평균 대기시간, X.25호 요구 지연시간과 데이터 패킷 전송 지연시간등을 분석하고 이를 근거로 TDX-10 패킷교환시스팀의 패킷호 처리용량을 제시하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce and solve the following additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) $${\parallel}f(x+y+z)-f(x)-f(y)-f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}{\rho}_1(f(x+z)-f(x)-f(z)){\parallel}+{\parallel}{\rho}_2(f(y+z)-f(y)-f(z)){\parallel}$$, where ${\rho}_1$ and ${\rho}_2$ are fixed nonzero complex numbers with ${\mid}{\rho}_1{\mid}+{\mid}{\rho}_2{\mid}$ < 2. Using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) in complex Banach spaces.

Microstructural Characterization of Gas Atomized Copper-Iron Alloys with Composition and Powder Size

  • Cu-Fe alloys (CFAs) are much anticipated for use in electrical contacts, magnetic recorders, and sensors. The low cost of Fe has inspired the investigation of these alloys as possible replacements for high-cost Cu-Nb and Cu-Ag alloys. Here, alloys of Cu and Fe having compositions of $Cu_{100-x}Fe_x$ (x = 10, 30, and 50 wt.%) are prepared by gas atomization and characterized microstructurally and structurally based on composition and powder size with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Grain sizes and Fe-rich particle sizes are measured and relationships among composition, powder size, and grain size are established. Same-sized powders of different compositions yield different microstructures, as do differently sized powders of equal composition. No atomic-level alloying is observed in the CFAs under the experimental conditions.

TDX-10 패킷 처리기의 패킷교환 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Evaluation for the Packet Switching in the TDX-10 Packet Handler)

  • 패킷 교환용 데이터 통신 프로토콜의 핵심인 CCITT X.25 및 X.75는 PSPDN 환경하에서 매우 유효하게 잘 적용되어 왔다. '80년대부터 ISDN이 도래하면서 디지털 교환기에도 이러한 프로토콜을 적용하여 패킷 교환을 수행하는 것이 세계적 추세이다. 본 논고에서는 ISDN용 교환기인 TDX-10 패킷 교환기능 개발시 독창적으로 설계된 리소스 관리기법을 제시하였으며, 아울러 이 기법중 메모리 관리방식과 흐름제어 방법에 근거하여 패킷 처리기의 성능을 시뮬레이션한 결과 TDX-10 패킷처리기의 핵심이 되는 처리량을 분석하였다.

유전체 재료용 Phosphate계 유리-BNT($BaO-Nd_{2}O_{3}-TiO_{2}$)계 세라믹 복합체의 특성

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로파용 유전재료로서 널리 사용되고 있는 BNT($BaO-Nd_{2}O_{3}-TiO_{2}$)계 세라믹스를 기본조성으로 하고, 저융점의 phoshpate계 유리 프릿의 첨가를 통해 LTCC(Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic)에 적용 가능한 유전율을 가진 조성을 개발 하고자, $70P_{2}O_{5}-5B_{2}O_{3}-(25-x)BaO-xNa_{2}O$ 유리를 제조 및 특성을 평가하였다. 또한, BNT계 세라믹스에 glass frit을 5 - 15 wt% 범위에서 첨가하고, $800 - 950^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 소결하여 제조된 유리-세라믹 복합체의 소결특성 및 유전특성을 조사하였다.

Beyond X-Chromosome Inactivation: The Oncogenic Facet of XIST in Human Cancers

  • Long-non coding RNAs (LncRNAs) constitute a wide and extremely diverse family of RNA transcripts that are greater than 200 base pairs in length and are not translated into proteins. X-inactive specific transcript (XIST) was the first long non-coding RNA to be discovered, back in 1991. Its function in X-chromosome inactivation has been extensively studied for three decades, though other functional roles of XIST that involve a variety of fascinating mechanisms remain to be elucidated. Here, we review the emerging oncogenic role of XIST in various human cancers.

  • In this study, $0.45Pb(Fe_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3-(0.55-x)Pb(Fe_{2/3}W_{1/3})O_3-xPb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3(x=0.20, 0.25, 0.30)$ (x=0.20, 0.25, 0.30) ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were 950-990[$^{\circ}C$], 2[hr], respectively. The dielectric and structural properties with the composition and sintering temperature were investigated for the application as multilayer ceramic capacitors. To improve the dielectric loss, specimens doped with $MnO_2$, (0$\sim$2.0 [mol%] ) were fabricated and their dielectric properties were studied. With increasing the amount of $MnO_2$, dielectric constant was decreased and transition temperature was increased. Dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the 0.45PFN-0.30PFW-0.25PMN+$MnO_2$(1.0[mol.%]specimen(970[$^{\circ}C$]) had a good properties of 11,227, 1.3[%].

고온 부식환경에 대한 Fe-Cr-X 합금의 열역학적 반응경로에 관한 연구 (A Study of Thermodynamical Reaction Path in Fe-Cr-X Alloys at High Temperature Corrosion Environments)

  • The structure of the scale formed on the surface of Fe - Cr - X alloys exposed to 1143K high sulfidation($Ps_2$ = 1.11$\times$$10^-7$ atm, $Po_2$ = 3.11$\times$$10^-20$ atm) or sulfidation/oxidation(($Ps_2$= 1.06$\times$$10^-7$ atm, ($Po_2$ = 3.11$\times$$10^-18$ atm) environment has been observed and analysed using XRD, SEM/EDS. To investigate the possibility of protective film formed on the surface of the alloys, Aluminium, Nickel were selected as alloying elements. Thermodynamic phase stability diagram was used to predict the reaction path of scale formed on Fe - Cr - X alloys. Parabolic rate constant($K_p$) value with 6wt% Al in Fe - 25Cr alloy decreased significantly compared with the Fe - 25Cr alloy without 6wt% Al. Since thin layer of defect free sulfide film, (Al, Cr)Sx, was formed at the alloy/scale interface. Fe - rich sulfide scale at outer layer and Cr - rich sulfide scale containing porosity at inner layer of Fe - 25Cr alloy have been observed. The reaction path for these scales could be predicted by the thermodynamic stability diagram.

Electrochemical Performances of the Fluorine-Substituted on the 0.3Li2MnO3·0.7LiMn0.60Ni0.25Co0.15O2 Cathode Material

  • The fluorine-substituted $0.3Li_2MnO_3{\cdot}0.7Li[Mn_{0.60}Ni_{0.25}Co_{0.15}]O_{2-x}F_x$ cathode materials were synthesized by using the transition metal precursor, $LiOH{\cdot}H_2O$ and LiF. This was to facilitate the movement of lithium ions by forming more compact SEI layer and to reduce the dissolution of transition metals. The $0.3Li_2MnO_3{\cdot}0.7Li[Mn_{0.60}Ni_{0.25}Co_{0.15}]O_{2-x}F_x$ cathode material was sphere-shaped and each secondary particle had $10{\sim}15{\mu}m$ in size. The fluorine-substituted cathodes initially delivered low discharge capacity, but it gradually increased until 50th charge-discharge cycles. These results indicated that fluorine substitution gave positive effects on the structural stabilization and resistance reduction in materials.
