Presenting desirable direction of Korean interior landscape, the present studies were performed to survey the status of interior landscape of the Korean traditional and modern house in order to compare each other about the landscaping characteristics. The results were as follows: 1. Interior landscape of traditional houses put emphasis on mental aspects through furnitures, decorative elements, symbolic signs, paintings, writings, and moderate plants. 2. Interior landscape of modern house accentuated visual beauty by using westernized furnitures and decorative elements, and exotic plants. 3. These days we abundantly use exotic interior plants, but we need to develop native plant materials which have visual values and are well grown. 4. It is suggested that we should make effects to find and develop Korean interior landscape style which succeed from traditional interior landscape that has more accentuated on mental aspect.

The purposes of this study were to examine how the nested social systems affect the identity development of the local university students, and to explore how they integrate externally imposed identities and internally defined ideas of ego. From the protocol writings and personal face-to-face interviews with 87 local university students, the present study found that the participants tended to identify themselves as a university student rather than a 'local' university student. They were aware of the social prejudices against local university students. Some participants resisted the stereotypes imposed by the media, which they perceived as overly simplistic and biased labeling, while others accepted those with feelings of frustration, inferiority, and sadness. However, they kept making efforts to overcome social prejudices by means of their affection for the local community. The study highlighted that individual identities were constructed in the systems which the individuals belonged to.

The purpose of this study is to review Korean sacrificial rite and reform it to be fit for modern life, the research method is to review literatures such as ancient writings and various references for the sacrificial rite. The new model of Korean sacrificial rite is as follows; 1. New year's and chusok's sacrificial rite should be omitted and only the anniversary rite be left. 2. Time of anniversary rite should be convenient hour that all attendants can meet and the extent of attendants should be limited into the deads sons & daughters. 3. Subject of anniversary rite should be limited into the parents. 4. Foods and liquor offered to the dead should be omitted 5. Supervisor of sacrificial rite should be not only the eldest son but also dead's sons and daughters, so the anniversary rite should be rotated among brothers and sisters.

This study suggests the visual contents of environment education using the Rainwater, Visual contents is more effective than writings in terms of delivering information. Environment education needs to be performed from the stage of early childhood as environment can be dealt throughout the overall daily life of learners. This study is to utilize animation contents for environment education to shift recognition of user on environment and deliver the information. For this purpose, virtual space, a theme park with motif of rain city operated by Rainwater was established. Then the process of utilizing Rainwater was shown using rides. Imaginary animal, a dragon and endangered animals were visualized as characters. So this paper is to suggest the possibility of visualization of environment education contents and stimulate 'interest' and provide educational information' on utilizing the Rainwater.

Wanghogo(王好古) is a prominent doctor in Geum-Won(金元) Dynasty. He is also the inheritor of Jangwonso(張元素) and Igo(李杲) in study, and studied "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)", "Sanghallon(傷寒論)". So, he contributed to a later age. Although we have some researches of Wanghogo, but the researches in his books are insufficient as yet. More, the publication year of his books have some different views, so I tried to study this. By this study, We can understand that Wanghogo published "Uiruwonyung(醫壘元戎)" which is for exogenous febrile disease and miscellaneous diseases in general plan of twelve meridians in 1297, "Eumjeung-yangnye(陰證略例)" which is for harm and diagnosis and treatment of Eum syndromes of exogenous febrile disease in 1303, and "Tang-aekboncho(湯液本草)" which is for property and flavor and meridian tropism of Herb and five kind of flavor's tonification and reduction, the meaning of prescription, care of health by food, "Chasananji(此事難知)" which is for meridian, Jangbu(臟腑), pathology, pathogen, clinical distinction, medical care in 1308.

The most important part of understanding properties of Sasang-in(四象人) is analysis of human characters. In spite of that aspect, there are not enough explanations of human characters like natural virtues, for example Inseong(仁性), in Ijema(李濟馬)'s writings. In this examination we mainly investigated particular relationship between So-eumin(少陰人) and Inseong(仁性). But revelation and practice of Inseong(仁性) are not only belonged to So-eumin(少陰人), also applied to all people of Sasang-in(四象人). Specially for the purpose of recognizing human characters, Ijema(李濟馬) assigned virtues that is to say Inuiyeji(仁義禮智), to each persons of Sasang-in(四象人). We have explained which properties of such Sasang-in(四象人), not limited to So-eumin(少陰人), is concerned with natural virtue In(仁), actually that explanations are more concentrated to relation between Taeyang-in(太陽人) and Inseong(仁性).

“The ultimate aim of the anthropology of art ［fashion］ must be the dissolution of art ［fashion］.” Alfred Gell, Art and Agency (1998) This study aims to rethink fashion by examining issues that have emerged out of recent writings in the anthropology of art. Since their inaugural coinciding, sound discussions have emerged between the anthropology of art and the art world, addressing such subjects as： ‘artworks and artefacts’, ‘Western and non- Western discourse’, and ‘art and agency’ (Gell 1992； 1993； 1996； 1998). This study is comprised of a series of discussions, the subjects of which follow： the relationship between fashion and art； art and the anthropology of art； and in parallel with this, examining the possibility for an anthropology of fashion. This study employs a qualitative approach based on the discussion of relevant literatures dealing with fashion, art and art theory for its methodology, followed by a brief examination of a case of the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in terms of an empirical account.

The objective of this study was to identify the most representative issues of 1990s in the area of architectural design education, which has been interconnected very closely with the interior-architectural design since the history began, to establish a foundational reconstruction of interior-architectural education program. Particularly focusing on the issues of architectural education of 1990s, three subjects of writen materials were examined ; (1) the history of architectural education, (2) the theories of architectural design, (3) the works of architecural students performing the architectural design program in schools. This analysis of existing writings found four major issues of 1990s which are performing the fundamental disscussions in the context of the architectural education, probably these issues would be effecting the future of the architectural design of the future: (1) The expects of Heterogeneity and Multiplicity (2) The effections/penetrations of the world-wide-web (3) The conflicts between globalism and regionalism (4) The breaks of margins in architectural education

지역정보 쓰기에서 이용자들을 돕기 위해 (1) 글 구조, (2) 단락 구성, (3) 문장 작성, (4) 어휘 구사에 대한지식을 글 분석을 통해 연구하였다. 글 구상과 단락 구성을 각각 도와주는 글틀과 단락틀 지식베이스가 고안되었고 단어, 절, 문장의 구현에 필요한 단어와 절 및 문장의 예들을 모은 사전 데이터베이스도 만들었다. 서비스의 질을 높이기 위해 전문가 지향적인 시스템을 추구하였다. PC통신과 웹에서 실용적인 시스템이 되려면 앞으로 (1) 글틀과 단락틀의 주제 추출, (2) 문장의 대표어 작성, (3) 각종 규칙의 정제, (4) 정밀한 지식베이스 구축이 필수적이라고 사려된다.

The purpose of this paper is to understand the meaning of 'institution' in Louis Kahn's architecture and to reveal that it is expressed through singularity and commonality, which have two aspects; formal-material(eidos-hyle) aspect and phenomenological aspect. Under these recognitions, this paper shows the detail analysis on design process of Phillips Exeter Academy Library, focusing on his writings and sketches. The results are as follows. First, the basic form is maintained through the design process of the Exeter library, and it is derived from the consideration of the human activities in the library. And second, each 'room' of the library acquires its singularity through structure and light. And the 'plan' is based on the commonality inherent in the singularity of each room. And the last, singularity and commonality are revealed not only In the relation of architectural elements but also In the relation with man and architecture.
