고속 헤들 프레임용 복합재료 샌드위치 보의 진동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of the Composite Sandwich Beams for High-Speed Heddle Frame)

  • A heddle frame is the major part of a loom that produces woven cloth by insertion of weft yarns between warp yams. Warp yarns are manipulated by many heddles fixed in a heddle frame. Recently, the up and down speed of heddle frames has been increased much for the increase of productivity, which induces higher inertial stresses and vibrations in the heddle frame. The heddle frame has the rectangular cross-section. For the design of box type beams of rectangular cross-section, extensional stiffness EA, flexural stiffness El, and torsional stiffness GJ as well as the vibration characteristics are important and should be simultaneously considered. Tn this paper, the vibration characteristics of the composite and the composite sandwich beams for high-speed heddle frame were tested by impulse frequency response.

Photovoltaic Performance of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells assembled with Hybrid Composite Membrane based on Polypropylene Non-woven Matrix

  • Hybrid composite membranes were prepared by coating poly(ethylene oxide) and $SiO_2$ particles onto the porous polypropylene nonwoven matrix. Gel polymer electrolytes prepared by soaking the hybrid composite membranes in an organic electrolyte solution exhibited ionic conductivities higher than $1.1{\times}10^{-3}Scm^{-1}$ at room temperature. Dyesensitized solar cell (DSSC) employing the hybrid composite membrane with PEO and 10 wt % $SiO_2$ exhibited an open circuit voltage of 0.77 V and a short circuit current of 10.78 $mAcm^{-2}$ at an incident light intensity of 100 $mWcm^{-2}$, yielding a conversion efficiency of 5.2%. DSSC employing the hybrid composite membrane showed more stable photovoltaic performance than that of the DSSC assembled with liquid electrolyte.

  • In composite materials, the fracture perpendicular to the fiber direction usually shows a non-linear behavior accompannying blunting and plastic deformation around the crack tip. In this study, the fracture thoughness in random short fiber SMC composite material and Carbon/Epoxy composite material is estimated by the A.M.(Area Method) and the G.L.M.(Generalized Locus Method) which can determine a stable total energy release rate(G$_T$) not only in highly elghly elastic material but also in highly non-linear materials.

  • In this study, the distribution of the effective modulus was investigated statistically Plain weave structures were modeled with random stacking phase shift angles and the effective modulus was calculated by the unit cell analysis. The analysis results indicated that the effect of random phase shift angles was significant on the modulus distribution. As the number of layers increased, the coefficient of variation decreased and higher degree of homogeneity was attained.

  • In this study, out-of-plane properties and CTEs were predicted for 8-harness satin weave textile composites. The properties were calculated by unit cell analysis for configurations with varied waviness ratio and phase shifts. Macro elements were employed to reduce the computer resource requirement. It was found that the out-of-plane properties and CTEs were varied as the phase shift changed. However the dependency was much weaker than the in-plane properties.

3차원으로 직조된 복합재 보강 패널의 기계적 특성 연구 (Mechanical Characteristics of 3-dimensional Woven Composite Stiffened Panel)

  • 본 연구에서는 층간분리의 위험이 없는 3차원 직조방식으로 복합재 보강패널을 제작하고 좌굴하중과 고유진동수 등의 기계적 특성을 연구하였다. 보강패널의 스트링거와 외피는 일체형으로 제작하였고 T800급 탄소섬유로 만들어진 프리폼에 수지(EP2400)를 충진시키는 방식을 적용하였다. 제작된 보강판에 대하여 압축시험과 고유진동수 측정 시험을 수행하였고 유한요소해석 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 3차원 직조 구조물의 성능을 상대적으로 비교하기 위해 일방향 프리프레그와 2차원 평직(fabric)으로 동일한 치수의 보강패널을 제작하여 시험과 해석을 수행하였다. 시험값을 기준으로 일방향 프리프레그와 2차원 평직으로 제작된 보강패널의 좌굴하중은 3차원 직조 패널의 좌굴하중 대비 각각 20%, -3%의 차이를 보였다. 본 연구로부터 3차원 직조방식으로 제작된 일체형 보강패널의 좌굴하중은 일방향 프리프레그 적층 보강판의 좌굴하중보다는 낮지만 2차원 평직 보강판넬보다는 미세하게 높은 수준의 값을 보임을 확인하였다.

고정원 강화를 위해 치면에 부착한 fiber-reinforced composite과 스테인리스강 와이어의 피로한도 비교 (Comparison of the fatigue limit of fiber-reinforced composites and stainless steel wires when attached to the tooth surface for anchorage reinforcement)

  • 본 연구는 고정원을 강화하는데 사용되는 fiber-reinforced composite (FRC)과 스테인리스강 와이어의 피로 한도를 치아의 생리적 동요도가 허용되는 조건에서 비교하여 FRC의 임상적 유용성을 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 스테인리스강 와이어군은 각형과 원형 와이어군으로 나누고 FRC군은 uni-directional군과 woven군, 그리고 각각의 군에 있어서 치간 부위에 레진을 코팅한 군과 코팅하지 않은 군으로 나누었다 각 군간의 피로한도를 일반적인 교정치료기간을 재현한 $5{\times}10^5cycle$의 피로한도 내에서 측정하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 스테인리스강 와이어에서는 각형 와이어가 원형 와이어보다 피로한도가 더 높았지만 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다 (p>0.05) 치간부위를 레진으로 코팅한 FRC와 코팅하지 않은 FRC 모두 uni-directional군이 woven군보다 피로한도가 더 높게 나타났으며 (p<0.05) 그 값은 치간 부위를 레진으로 코팅한 FRC가 코팅하지 않은 FRC보다 더 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 스테인리스강 와이어와 FRC 모두 임상적으로 유용한 $5{\times}10^5cycle$의 피로한도 내에서는 파절되지 않았기 때문에 둘 다 고정원 강화를 위해 사용하여도 충분하며 또한 심미성이 요구되거나 부가적인 장치의 부착이 필요한 곳에서는 FRC를 사용하여도 충분하리라 생각된다.

  • Real time health monitoring system was studied to detect the . generation of defects in the composite structures during service life. The PZT sensors were embedded into the woven-glass/phenol composite plate during the fabrication. VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding) process were used to fabricate the composite plate. A Teflon tape was embedded between glass fiber layers to mimic delamination induced during service. Normalized maximum amplitude and energy analyses were used for the acquired signals. Both amplitude and energy of acquired signals were extremely sensitive to the delamination. Therefore, it was successful to detect and to locate the defects in composite plate by monitoring signals from sensors and using the proposed method.

한국형 틸팅열차용 복합재 차체의 하중적재에 따른 구조적 특성고찰 (Structural Characteristics of a Hybrid Composite Carbody of Korean Tilting Train by Weight Load)

  • This paper explains manufacturing process, analysis and experimental studies on a hybrid composite carbody of Korean tilting train. The composite carbody with length of 23m was manufactured as a sandwich structure composed of a aluminium honeycomb core and woven fabric carbon/epoxy faces. In order to evaluate deformational behavior of the composite carbody, the static load test under vertical load has been conducted. From the test, the vertical deflection an겨 cross sectional deformation of the carbody were analysed and measured. The maximum deflection along the side sill was 9.25mm in the experiment and 8.28mm in the analysis. The maximum cross sectional deformation was measured 5.42mm at carbody center in lateral direction and 4.06mm at roof center in vertical direction.
