치기공사의 은퇴 및 노후준비 -수도권 지역 치기공사를 대상으로- (Retirement and old age preparation of dental technicians -Targeting the metropolitan area dental technicians-)

  • Purpose: This study investigated perception and plan of dental technologists regarding the old age and retirement for them to enjoy stable old age. Methods: Dental technologists working in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggido were asked to fill out a self-administered questionnaire, and a total of 200 copies were used for analysis. The collected data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS 22.0(Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Chicago, IL, USA) (a=0.05). In order to compare perception toward old age preparation among the subjects, a Chi-square test was performed, and, to investigate the level of preparedness for old age according to general characteristics, t-test was performed. Results: In the analysis of the old age preparedness by age, there was a significant difference in financial preparation, Asset identification, use of retiring allowance, information gathering, senior town home, and stability (p<0.05). To the questions regarding perception toward retirement, the majority of the subjects (60.5%) answered they had thought about retirement, and many (23.9%) of them attributed the reason to job stress (23.9%). Regarding old age preparedness according to workplace, there was a significant difference in use of retirement allowance and education for old age preparedness between general dental laboratories and general hospitals (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is believed that, for preparation of dental technologists for stable old age, in addition to their personal effort, it is important to provide social support and practical measures to ensure welfare and retirement.

  • The better industry develops, the more spaces need but in the limited area. Most building become larger and more complicated if the more spaces need in the constant area. And this leads to do underground work in long period generally six(6) months for 6 basement stories due to the selection of TOP DOWN technique. Working environment in this underground area can be problems and should not be overlooked, because air quality in underground spaces become quickly worse. Recently, department name to control construction safety has been changed to ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY TEAM from SAFETY TEAM. This means that it is very important to control against environmental condition at site so much. Overall construction work as well as underground work should conform to the requirement of working environment, particularly against inhabitants around the construction area. Strut protection, one of earth protection method, in case to 40m long strut may become weaker due to thermal stress or its longitudinally compressive strain and the another one, earth anchor protection may not be applied to the site In case of encroaching on vertical underground borderline because of regulation to prohibit it. It is necessary that TOP DOWN technique should be introduced in order to solve the external and internal problem of the site such as difficulty level of the work, potential danger with excavating depth, and shortening workperiod. It is needed that improving way of working condition should be shown and simplified computer simulation program should be also provided for checking pollution level & ventilation, excluding of lighting problem here. Results measured with conformance to the Regulation for Working Environment Measurement, enforced by Ministry of Labor have been applied to the computer program developed here. Sample air taken at unit workplace which was considered as exposing condition of pollutant at breathing point and within a range of behavior of the workers, Identified exposing group in underground work, using Moded Flow Life Finally, three types of ventilation system, type I with blower & ventilator, type II natural supply with mechanical ventilation system, and type I mechanical ventilation with Drivent Fan Unit System are selected for this study.

여자간호사가 인식하는 남자간호사의 유형 및 특성 : Q 방법론적 접근 (The Types and Characteristics of the Male Nurses Perceived by Female Nurses : An Application of Q- Methodology)

  • 본 연구는 인간의 주관성을 탐구할 수 있는 Q 방법론을 이용하여 여자간호사가 인식하는 남자간호사의 유형과 특성을 확인하고자 수행하였다. 35명의 P 표본에게 35개의 Q 표본을 9점 척도 상에 정규 분포의 형태로 분류하게 하였다. 수집된 자료는 PC-QUANL 프로그램으로 처리하였다. 연구결과, 남자간호사에 대한 인식은 3개의 유형으로 확인되었으며, 제1유형은 '발전 지향적 옹호형', 제2유형은 '현실적 비판형', 제3유형은 '보수주의적 수용형'으로 분류되었다. 각 유형 간 공통된 견해는 '남자간호사는 여성 집단의 고유한 특성으로 인해 스트레스를 받는다'로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 세 가지 유형에 근거한 중재 프로그램을 개발하여 남자간호사에 대한 여자간호사의 인식을 향상시키는 데 기여할 것이다.

의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사의 갈등수준 비교 (Difference of Conflict Levels of Nurses and Nurse-aids against Doctors)

  • 본 연구는 간호사와 간호조무사의 동기를 제고하고 효과적인 간호서비스 제공을 촉진하기 위해 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 직무 및 대인관계의 갈등 정도와 원인을 파악하고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 중소규모 병원에 근무하고 있는 간호사와 간호조무사 271명을 대상으로 직무 및 인간관계 갈등 정도, 원활한 의사소통 여부, 갈등 원인과 해결방법 등에 대해 설문조사를 실시하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 갈등의 내용과 정도는 대체로 비슷하였으나 의사와 간호직의 역할이 중복되거나 모호한 부분이 있다고 느낀다는 점에서는 간호사가 간호조무사 보다 더 많은 스트레스를 받고 있었다. 의사와 갈등이 발생했을 때 해결하는 방법으로는 간호사와 간호조무사 모두 적당히 피한다는 의견이 가장 많았다. 그 다음의 갈등해결 방법은 간호사와 간호조무사 간에 차이가 있었는데 간호사는 상대방에게 나의 의견을 따르도록 함, 노조를 통해 해결 등의 순이었고, 간호조무사는 상사에게 해결하도록 함, 서로 조금씩 양보해서 타협함 등의 순이었다.

수요자 중심의 산업안전보건교육 과정 개발을 위한 요구분석 -관리감독자 정기안전보건교육을 중심으로- (Analysis of Educational Needs for Developing a Consumer-oriented Regular Safety and Health Education Curriculum - Focusing on Management Supervisors)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for consumer-oriented curriculum development by analyzing the priorities of subjects and their preference for educational methods. Methods: The participants included 773 management supervisors and education practitioners in the workplace, and a survey was conducted from April 17 to August 30, 2019. Frequency analysis, t-test, Borich's Needs Analysis, and Locus for Focus Model analysis were performed using Microsoft Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS 21.0. Results: The highest perceived priorities for education subjects were as follows: ① 'CPR and First Aid Practice' and 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid Basics' in the manufacturing industry; and ② 'Emotional Labor and Job Stress Prevention', 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid basics, and 'Musculoskeletal Disorder Prevention' in the service industry. 'Collective education' was the most preferred method of education. 'School-type' was preferred for the seating arrangement, and the proper number of trainees was considered to be about 30. Respondents said the contents of the education was a top priority when they applied for education, and curriculum and appropriate textbooks should be considered in calculating the cost of education. Conclusions: Practical subjects and subjects related to major hazards by industry were required for management supervisor education. It was proposed in this study that the contents and operating methods of education be changed so that workers can easily comprehend essential subjects such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act. In conclusion, it is necessary to design the curriculum and apply educational methods suitable for each subject's characteristics in consideration of the priorities for subjects reflected in the needs of trainees.

Development of Korean Version Burnout Syndrome Scale (KBOSS) Using WHO's Definition of Burnout Syndrome

  • Background: Burnout syndrome (BOS) is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. This study aims to create the Korean version burnout syndrome scale (KBOSS) that conforms to WHO's definition of BOS and present the cut-off points for screening. Methods: We developed the KBOSS based on WHO's definition of BOS. An online survey was conducted through a specialized online research company. We recruited 444 workers for this research. The validity of the KBOSS was assessed using factor analysis and Pearson's correlation. The KBOSS reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The cut-off points for each of the three dimensions were derived using the upper quartile score. Results: The validity and reliability of the KBOSS were good. Regarding reliability, the scale's overall Cronbach's alpha was 0.813. Cronbach's alpha of each three-dimension was as follows: exhaustion, 0.916; cynicism, 0.865; and professional inefficacy, 0.819. The cut-off points of BOS three dimensions are exhaustion S 21; cynicism S 18; and inefficacy S 15. Conclusion: The developed questionnaire (KBOSS) can be a useful tool for screening of BOS.

치과의료기관 근무자들의 프렌드십과 조직효과성 관계 연구 (Workplace Friendship and Organizational Effectiveness of Dental Hygienists)

  • 1. 연구결과의 요약 본 연구는 치과의료기관 근로자들의 프렌드십이 조직효과성에 미치는 요인을 분석하고자 실시되었다. 그 결과, 상사와 동료와의 프렌드십 수준이 높을수록 직무만족과 조직몰입 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 상사와 동료 및 부하와의 프렌드십 수준이 낮을수록 이직의도와 스트레스 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 치과의료기관 근무자들의 조직효과성을 높이기 위해서는 우선적으로 조직 내의 긍정적인 프렌드십 형성을 위해 노력하는 것이 중요하며, 병원 내 구성원 간의 긍정적인 관계의 효과를 강조하는 문화를 조성하고 다양한 위원회 및 QI활동에 적극 참여하도록 하여 구성원 간의 충분한 교류를 유도해야 할 것이다. 나아가 구성원 간 수평적이고 긍정적인 커뮤니케이션을 할 수 있도록 커뮤니케이션 관련 교육을 활성화하고, 구성원 간 비공식적 관계형성의 장을 마련하기 위해 체육대회, 장기자랑 대회, 동아리 활동 등에 적극적인 지원을 제공하며, 조직 내 갈등요소를 줄여나가는 고충처리제도, 멘토링 제도 등의 시스템적인 노력이 필요함을 본 연구결과는 시사해 주고 있다. 2. 추후 연구를 위한 제언 본 연구는 치과의료기관 내의 프렌드십이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향을 파악하여 프렌드십 활성화를 통한 조직효과성 향상 방안을 제시해 보고자 실시하였으나 다음과 같은 연구의 제한점을 가지고 있다. 첫째, 연구대상의 일반적인 특성을 찾기 위해서는 가능한 표본의 규모가 크고, 다양한 지역이 포함되어야 함에도 서울, 경기지역의 일부 치과의료기관 종사자만을 대상으로 했다는 한계를 지니고 있다. 따라서 향후 다양한 지역의 치과의료기관 종사자들을 대상으로 한 연구를 통해 연구결과의 일반성을 확보해 나갈 필요가 있다. 둘째, 조직행위 관련 연구에서 방법론상의 문제점으로 많이 지적되고 있는 동일방법변이(common method variance)에 의한 문제점이다. 조직 내 프렌드십 수준이나 조직효과성 관련 변수들에 관한 측정이 자기기입식 설문조사라는 방법에 의해서만 이루어졌으므로 이 조사의 타당성에 문제를 제기할 수 있다. 이러한 제한점을 극복하기 위해 조사 내용에 응답자의 상사와 동료 등으로 하여금 조직 내 프렌드십 수준, 조직효과성 관련 행동 등을 평가하게 하거나, 객관적 근태 및 인사고과 자료 등을 통하여 평가하는 등의 보완 연구가 필요할 것이다. 셋째, 과거와 달리 치과의료기관의 규모가 커짐으로 인해 치기공사, 서비스 코디네이터 등 다양한 직군이 함께 근무하는 형태로 변화해 가고 있다. 그러나 본 연구는 치과의료기관 종사자들을 직군에 상관없이 무작위로 조사하여 직군간의 프렌드십이나 직무만족, 이직의도 등의 차이가 있음을 반영하지 못한 한계를 가지고 있어, 향후 직군 간의 차이와 갈등을 반영한 연구가 요구된다. 넷째, 본 연구는 치과의료기관의 조직운영에 관한 연구에서는 전혀 다루어지지 않은 프렌드십에 관한 연구이다. 따라서 기존 연구가 전무한 상태이므로 현재 프렌드십에 관한 의식, 수준 등을 진단하고 프렌드십의 긍정적인 효과만을 중심으로 연구하였으나, 향후 프렌드십의 부정적인 면도 동시에 검토하여 보다 효과적으로 조직운영에 적용할 수 있는 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

소규모사업장 보건관리지원사업에 대한 평가연구 (An Evaluative Study of a Subsidiary Program in Small Scale Industries)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the subsidiary program on occupational health services in small scale industries. The survey of occupational health services was undertaken in 346 industries from July 1 to August 31. 1994. The major results were as follows ; 1. The subsidiary program on occupational health services The evaluation of working environments were conducted in 305 industries, $42.3\%$ of the industries had the harzardous agents exeeding TLV. Special medical examinations were done in 310 industries. the results were detected $C(33.3\%).\;D_1(0.8\%), D_2(5.4\%)$. Health management were done in 341 industries, the average visits for a industry were 3.8 times. The activities of health management were included to check of the workplace. health education, health counselling, etc. 2. The recognition of the employees and employers on occupational health services $91.5\%$ of employers and $87.0\%$ of workers felt healthy themselves. But $39.7\%$ of employers and $21.2\%$ of workers were under the stress from their jobs or home affairs. The workers perceived more harmful for the hazardous agents than the employers. $32.8\%$ of employers and $42.9\%$ of workers perceived that employer's efforts were the most important things to protect for the hazardous agents. The result of the evaluation of working environments were understood by $57.3\%$ of employers and $24.5\%$ of workers. The notification of medical examinations were recognized $83.9\%$ of employers and $50.3\%$ of workers. Many employers and workers felt the necessities of health management in small scale industries. The priorities of health manegement were different between employers and workers. Employers' priorities were as follows ; follow up care of medical examination$(97.3\%)$, health counselling$(93.7\%)$, planning of health$(93.5\%)$, health education of occupational diseases$(93.2\%)$, health education of chronic diseases$(93.5\%)$, etc. Workers' priorities were as follows ; follow up care$(93.4\%)$, health counselling$(94.3\%)$, health education of occupational diseases$(93.0\%)$. first aids$(92.0\%)$. etc.

Relationship of Smoking with Self-perceived Health and Selected Health Behaviors

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze variables associated with smoking and selected health behaviors. This study targeted adult men and women over 20 of age. The sample population was drawn from the national sample, and the samples were chosen from the telephone book. A total of 1,500 cases were collected through a telephone based interview survey. As a tool for this study, a structured questionnaire was developed. the variables included self-perceived health status, and selected 7 health behaviors; smoking behavior, physical activities, eating habit, weight control, alcohol consumption, stress management, and cancer exam. The healthy life practice actions of Trans-theoretical model have been classified into five stages. Smokers were more likely than non-smokers to positive attitudes toward smoking and the impact of smoking in this study. This means that smokers's awareness toward the impact of smoking is very week. Smoking behavior was significantly related to other health related behaviors based on the correlation analysis. However, gender, engaging in regular physical activities, moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages, and receiving a cancer examination were the variables that can explain and predict a person's stages of adopting a non-smoking behavior. Self perceived health status was closely related to other health behaviors. Gender, age, and monthly household income were important demographic variables that have significant relationship with the self-perceived health status. Among the health behaviors, regular physical activities and weight control were significant predictable variables. Similar results have been found in the National health and Nutrition examination survey in Korea. As a result of this study, it was found that among the selected health behaviors, engaging in physical activity was an important variable to increase positive sense of health and non-smoking behaviors. Educational and policy level input is needed to increase awareness and provide chances to participate in fitness activities. To those who maintain exercise, the environmental support and diffusion of knowledge information and education data should be strengthened. To change attitudes toward smoking, more in-dept awareness campaign and education should be provided according to people's different behavioral status. In addition, not only diffusing health education data and delivering knowledge information through related programs, but also environmental support system that helps an individual maintain his/her action is required. Such a support system means settlement of the health enhancement base of school, workplace and community should be carried out, and the policy level support and regular programs should be provided and spread to the unit of community.

한국 임금근로자의 우울과 관련된 융복합적 요인: 성별 차이를 중심으로 (Convergent Factors Related to Depression of Wage Workers in Korea: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • 본 연구는 남녀 임금근로자의 우울 유병률과 우울 관련 융복합적 요인의 규명을 위해 시행되었다. 2014년, 2016년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 19세 이상 65세 미만 성인 3,763명(남성 1,888명, 여성 1,875)을 대상으로 분석하였다. 우울은 Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9)으로 측정하였으며 전체 근로자의 우울(PHQ-9≥10)은 4.1%(남성 3.2%, 여성 5.0%)로 나타났다. 남녀 근로자의 우울 영향 요인을 평가하기 위해 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 남성 근로자에서 일 관련 특성인 고용 유형, 주당 근로시간은 인구사회학적 특성, 건강 관련 특성, 생활습관 특성을 보정한 후에도 우울과 유의한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 여성 근로자에서 일 관련 특성은 유의한 관련을 보이지 않아 남성과 차이를 보였다. 그러므로 우울 위험 요인의 성별 특성을 고려한 직장 내 상담 또는 정신건강 증진 프로그램을 개발, 수행할 필요가 있다. 또한 남녀 모두 건강 관련 특성(우울증 진단 여부, 자살 계획 여부, 스트레스 인지 수준, 미충족 의료서비스 여부, 주관적 건강상태)이 우울과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났으므로 이들 요인에 대한 지속적인 관리가 요구된다.
