Development of Monitoring System for Polishing Robot Based on Web

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor working conditions caused by dust and noise. In the our previous study, an automatic polishing system was developed to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers. And, to operate the polishing robot system from remote sites, communication network was constructed and monitoring programs (a server program and a client program)) were developed.   • Now, but task for stringing trolley wire is worked manually by a measurement of dip, we need to development the automatic control system for a safety and effective tasks. In this paper, in works of stringing trolley wire by a mobile of robot, a method is proposed tension control for the stringing trolley wire. On the basics of a wire model with hard nonlinear, ac servo motor model for torque generating and stringing wire tension, the tension control scheme is design and implemented with a detected wire tension by a load cell. We experimentally show that the performance of the tension response are satisfactory to regulator tension. The proposed system is simulated and experimented, results is verified the utilities.

  • This study is to develop a program, with which the motion of the system can be simulated in view of kinematics and dynamics, and then evaluate functional capabilities of many robots in order to select the most suitable one for any given working conditions. According to the theory of Denavit & Hartenberg, rectangular coordinate is set at each joint in the robot of six joints, as this one is the major concern, and transformation matrices are derived between any two coordinates. The necessary displacement of each joint for executing a given a work is obtained from the position and posture transformation and the in-stantaneous velocity of the joint is got from given velocity distribution of the path. The necessary torque of each joint is finally calculated by Newton-Euler Method. This simulation program is applied to a robot with six rotational joints, Rotational angle and torque to time which has a given motion trajectory are figured and also torque to r.p.m.

  • This paper proposes an inertial navigation system(INS) with which a biped robot can determine his position, velocity, posture, etc. The proposed system provides the information of robots independently without using any outer signals. The defect of the algorithm is the en'or accumulation as the robot increases the mobile range. However, in this application the problem is not so critical because the working space is small and operation period of the robots is relatively short. With the proposed INS system biped robots obtain enhanced intelligence to execute their tasks. The structure and theoretical backgrounds are utilized to design the INS system. The method for application of INS system to biped robots has been illustrated.

  • The problem of minimization of energy, consumed by the robot manipulator, is important, notably for larger manipulators, higher working speeds, and loads. Obviously, the stated problem requires the application of optimal control theory, which is being successfully applied for linear system and certain classes of nonlinear systems. However, the application of optimal control theory(in energy or time optimization) leads to substantial practical difficulties, so that significant simplifications are usually performed, either in model complexity or by neglecting the existing constraints. In this paper the problem of obtaining such an optimization method. which would take into account the complete system dynamics and all the constraints is considered. The only method found to be suitable for such a complex optimization should be based on dynamic programming.

  • It is often necessary to observe the working environment of a robot to control it efficiently in the remote location. The remote sensing data and control commands are transmitted via various media such as radio, microwave, and computer network. The World Wide Web can be used as the infrastructure for teleoperation of mobile robots. In this paper we propose an advanced technique of the remote control of mobile robots on the web. For the real-time control, the image separation algorithm is proposed to transmit the current positions of mobile robots instead of transmitting the full frame image. It is shown by experiments that the proposed algorithm is effective.

  • In this paper Wifi robot car working as web sever on wifi network was implemented using NodeMCU ESP-12E board and its operation was verified using web browser of smart phone and PC. Current research result can be applicable to Wifi home automation applications with ESP-12E board.

  • It is sometimes necessary to observe the working environment of a robot to control it in the remote location. The remote sensing data and control commands are transmitted via various media such as radio, microwave, and computer network. In this paper we propose an advanced technique of the remote control of mobile robots on the web. The image separation is included in the proposed algorithm to control mobile robots in the real-time.   • In this paper, a hybrid semi-3D path planning algorithm combining Virtual Tangential Vector(VTV) and fuzzy control is proposed. 3D dynamic environmental factors are reflected to the 2D path planning model, VTV. As a result, the robot can control direction from 2D path planning algorithm VTV and speed as well depending on the fuzzy inputs such as the distance between the robot and obstacle, roughness and slope. Performances and feasibilities of the suggested method are demonstrated by using Matlab simulations. Simulation results show that fuzzy rules and obstacle avoidance methods are working properly toward virtual 3D environments. The proposed hybrid semi-3D path planning is expected to be well applicable to a real life environment, considering its simplicity and realistic nature of the dynamic factors included.

  • This paper describes a new design of blimp having wheeled vehicle part. This system can work both on the ground using wheeled vehicle and in the air using the floating capability of the blimp part. The passive wheeled mechanism in the vehicle part enables the stable taking off, landing on as well as it is greatly helpful to keep a stationary position on the floor. On the other hand, the floating capability enables the wheeled blimp to fly freely regardless of the ground condition or obstacles. The wheeled blimp can be used as an agent robot for the tole-presence application. Using multimedia devices such as camera, speaker, LCD and microphone mounted on the blimp surface, this system can get necessary information at the local site and communicate with person from a distance. As a typical tele-presence application, the wheeled blimp is currently being developed to a tole-guidance robot working in public indoor areas such 35 exhibition halls, departments, hospitals, etc ...
