스마트워크 환경에서 업무와 비업무간 간섭에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Interferences Between Work and Nonwork in the Smart Work Context)

  • 스마트워크를 통해 시간과 공간의 제약을 넘어 수월하게 상호작용할 수 있는 기회가 제공되면서 업무와 비업무 경계가 더욱 희미해지고 있다. 기존 연구들에서는 업무와 비업무 경계의 모호성으로 인해 발생하는 문제로 간섭에 대해 관심을 기울이고 있다. 특히 업무의 비업무 영역에 대한 일방향적인 간섭을 경계가 모호해 지면서 발생하는 부정적 효과로 보는 경향이 있다. 스마트워크로 인해 업무와 비업무 간의 경계가 더욱 모호해짐으로써 간섭이 쉽게 발생할 수 있으며, 이는 스마트워크가 지향하는 일하는 방식의 변화를 통한 일과 삶의 균형을 저해하는 중요한 요인이다. 따라서 간섭에 대해 관심을 갖고 이를 최소화하는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 이 과정에서 업무의 비업무 영역에 대한 간섭뿐 아니라 반대 방향으로의 간섭에 대해서도 고려하는 양방향적 시각이 전제되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 경계이론을 바탕으로 스마트워크 상황에서 간섭에 영향을 주는 선행요인을 파악하고, 스마트워크를 도입하기 위해 준비 중이거나, 이미 추진하고 있는 조직에서 이를 적절히 진행하기 위해 필요한 과업을 제시하였다.

  • The goal of the research is to identify the relationship between organizational justice, job satisfaction, and work attitudes in the context of job rotation. The competence and loyalty of the employees of an organization are critical to the organization's success. Therefore, organization should invest in developing their employees, including creating effective procedures and human resource management policies. A job rotation program is one of the critical policies in developing employees, as through this program employees can develop and actualize their abilities. However, there are some challenges in practice regarding implementing the procedures of job rotation. One of the challenges is related to the concept of organizational justice, which then impacts on employees' job satisfaction and work attitudes. This study was conducted in focused group discussions. The sample is 272 of a state-owned organization. In this study, the concept of organizational justice, with the dimensions of distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice, were used along with the discussion of job satisfaction and other work attitudes. The results were issues of fairness in perceiving organizational justice in the job rotation context, and the most significant response lies in procedural justice.

프랭크 스텔라(Frank Stella)에 있어서 토톨로지 구조(Tautological Structure)의 형성과 해체 (A Study on the formation and dissolution of tautological structure in the Frank Stella's work)

  • This article dealt with the formation and dissolution of tautological structure in the Frank Stella's work from 1959 to 1980 years by the analysis of signifier. A characteristic of Stella's work change is that it has the gradual progress which condensed into three periods -1) the formation and fixation period of tautological structure 2) the relaxation period of tautological structure and 3) the dissolution period of tautological structure. In other words, the early works of stella in the early 1960s has the structure which minimize differences in one hand, and maximize strictness, clearness, and identity on the other hand However, the stella's work from mid 1960s to mid 1970s extend differences gradually, while keeping a characteristic of prior work. And the stella's work after late 1970s has the decentered disintegration, namely anti-tautological structure which maximize differences. 'The formation and dissolution of tautological structure' in the Stella's work could be understood in relation to the fact that the Greenberg's modernist canon has loss the power gradually after late 1960s. That is to say, the dissolution of tautological structure in the late stella's work could be interpreted as the inevitable product which is produced in the searching for a new canon of painting. However, on the other hand, the structural change of stella's work in the late 20th Century is also understood in relation to the broader context, the social, and cultural context. Here, it is interpreted as the one of typical example which reflect a social and cultural convulsion designated as a 'Coming of Postmodernism'. In short, the late Stella's work which emphasize differences and unclearness, while diverging from early Stella's work which stress identity and rationality could be interpreted that it has the homology with the change of ways of thinking in the late 20th century Society.

재해비용과 하인리히방식 (Industrial Accident Costs and Heinrich Method)

  • For the policy makers and managers as well as the workers at work, it is important to identify what affects, to what extent, the safety level and costs of work sites. Within this context, the author analyzes fifteen construction work sites of the Incheon International Airport from 1996 to 1999 and shows that the expenditures for safety personnel and education programs contribute to reducing industrial accident costs. In addition, the author demonstrates that the regression analysis out-performs Heinrich method in estimating the accident costs of those work sites.

사회복지사들이 경험한 이직의 맥락과 패턴 (The Context and Pattern of Turnover Social Workers Have Experienced)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 사회복지사들이 경험한 이직의 맥락과 패턴을 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 연구자들은 7명의 사회복지사들을 대상으로 한 면접을 통해 자료를 수집하고, 수집된 자료를 가지고 맥락-패턴 분석을 실시하였다. 분석과 연구결과는 사례별 맥락-패턴 분석과 전체 사례에 대한 통합 맥락-패턴 분석으로 구성되었다. 개별 사례에 대한 맥락-패턴 분석은 시간(이직 이전/이직 과정/이직 이후) 차원과 수준(경험된 현상/경험의 의미/현상과 의미들이 연결된 맥락) 차원을 교차하여 각 사례의 이직 이전 맥락과 이직 과정의 맥락, 이직 이후의 맥락을 분석하였으며, 전체 과정에서 나타난 패턴을 파악하여 유형화하였다. 또한 각 사례의 맥락과 패턴, 거기에 연결된 현상과 의미들을 통합하여 하나의 맥락-패턴 구조를 구성하였다. 통합된 맥락-패턴 구조는 네 개의 영역들로 구성되었다. 즉, 첫째는 이직 전의 조직, 둘째는 이직 후의 조직, 셋째는 이직 당사자인 사회복지사, 넷째는 사회복지사의 관계망이다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 사회복지사의 이직과 관련하여 사회복지조직들이 고려해야 할 사회복지행정의 지침들을 구체적으로 제언하였다.

Taking a Closer Look at Bus Driver Emotional Exhaustion and Well-Being: Evidence from Taiwanese Urban Bus Drivers

  • Background: Urban bus drivers work under conditions that are among the most demanding, stressful, and unhealthy with higher rates of mortality and morbidity as well as absenteeism and turnover. Methods: Drawing on the job demand-resource model, this study investigates the impacts of job characteristics on emotional exhaustion and the effects of emotional exhaustion on job outcomes (including job satisfaction, life satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention) in the context of bus drivers. Results: Using self-reported survey data collected from a sample of 320 Taiwanese urban bus drivers, results reveal that role overload and work-family conflict (as job demand factors) positively relate to emotional exhaustion, and organizational support (as a job resource factor) is negatively associated with emotional exhaustion. Emotional exhaustion has negative effects on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction positively leads to life satisfaction, whereas organizational commitment negatively relates to turnover intention. Conclusion: This study concludes that role overload and work-family conflict as two stressors related to job demands and organizational support as the job resource factor to affect emotional exhaustion which further influence well-being in bus driver context. The moderating effects of both extraversion and neuroticism on the relationship between job demands and emotional exhaustion are evident.

  • Construction system modeling can enhance work performance by following the behaviors of a system. System behaviors may originate from physical aspects of a system, namely operation level variables, or from non-physical aspects of a system known as context level variables. However, construction system modelers usually focus on only one type of system variable (i.e., operation level or context level) which can lead to less accurate results. Hybrid modeling with System Dynamics (SD) and Discrete Event Simulation (DES) is one of the approaches that has been utilized to address this issue. In this research, an SD-DES hybrid model of a steel fabrication shop is developed, and the benefits of capturing context level variables together with operation level variables in the model are discussed.

레스토랑에서의 윤리적 리더십에 관한 연구 (The Antecedents and Consequences of Ethical Leadership in the Restaurant Industry -Focused on Ethical Context, Personality, and Job Satisfaction-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism affected his (or her) ethical leadership, and how leader's ethical leadership influenced subordinates' job satisfaction in the restaurant industry. The model was tested in hotel restaurants and family restaurants using a sample of employees in Pusan, Daegu and Gyeongsangbukdo. Empirical results confirmed that organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism influenced his (or her) ethical leadership, and leader's ethical leadership affected subordinates' job satisfaction. This research findings implied managerially that firstly, top management should establish employees' ethical regulations and motivate them to work ethically through training, incentives and punishment and secondly, should employee agreeable, conscientious and anti-neurotic person through aptitude test, if possible. In the future, restaurant's successful operations and management depends on partly its ethical status.

서비스 시나리오 개발 프로세스를 개선시키기 위한 상황인지 워크플로우 모델에서 XML 객체의 재사용 (Reusing XML Objects in Context-Aware Workflow Model for Improving the Development of Service Scenario)

  • 상황인지 워크플로우를 바탕으로 특정 사용자 또는 환경에 따라 맞춤화된 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 상황인지 워크플로우 모델을 기반으로 다양한 서비스 시나리오를 개발해야 한다. 상황인지 워크플로우 모델은 서비스 도메인 내의 한정된 상황 정보와 서비스 정보를 활용하여 구성되기 때문에 다수의 서비스 시나리오에는 중복되는 요소들이 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 중복되는 요소들로 인해 발생하는 반복적인 작업 프로세스는 서비스 시나리오의 개발 프로세스를 지연시킨다. 따라서 서비스 시나리오 개발의 불필요한 작업 프로세스를 해소하기 위해 상황인지 워크플로우 모델의 요소들은 재사용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 서비스 시나리오 개발의 프로세스 개선을 위한 상황인지 워크플로우 모델에서 XML 객체의 재사용 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 상황인지 워크플로우 모델에서 독립적으로 사용 가능한 XML 객체를 문서화하여 재사용 요소로 관리하고 서비스 시나리오 개발 과정에서 호출을 통해 재사용한다. 또한 재사용 요소의 속성 값을 변경하여 새로운 서비스 시나리오에 적용할 수 있다. 실험에서는 상황인지 워크플로우 모델의 요소들을 재사용하여 서비스 시나리오의 개발 프로세스가 간소화되는 과정을 시나리오 예제를 통해 보인다.

Context-aware Video Surveillance System

  • A video analysis system used to detect events in video streams generally has several processes, including object detection, object trajectories analysis, and recognition of the trajectories by comparison with an a priori trained model. However, these processes do not work well in a complex environment that has many occlusions, mirror effects, and/or shadow effects. We propose a new approach to a context-aware video surveillance system to detect predefined contexts in video streams. The proposed system consists of two modules: a feature extractor and a context recognizer. The feature extractor calculates the moving energy that represents the amount of moving objects in a video stream and the stationary energy that represents the amount of still objects in a video stream. We represent situations and events as motion changes and stationary energy in video streams. The context recognizer determines whether predefined contexts are included in video streams using the extracted moving and stationary energies from a feature extractor. To train each context model and recognize predefined contexts in video streams, we propose and use a new ensemble classifier based on the AdaBoost algorithm, DAdaBoost, which is one of the most famous ensemble classifier algorithms. Our proposed approach is expected to be a robust method in more complex environments that have a mirror effect and/or a shadow effect.
