[논문철회]소방공무원의 직무스트레스와 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 ([Retracted]Effects of emotional labor and job stress on turnover intention among firefighters)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of firefighters' job stress and emotional labor on their turnover intention, and analyze the main factors impacting turnover intention in this context. Methods: Based on a descriptive survey study design, we administered a structured questionnaire among 231 firefighters at one fire station in G metropolitan city from November 13 to 27, 2020. Results: Regarding job stress, participants showed differences based on marital status (p<.05), health status (p<.001), total service period (p<.05), and assignment (p<.05). For emotional labor, a significantly higher rate was observed for female than male firefighters (p<.05), with differences also observed in age (p<.001), health status (p<.001), total service period (p<.05), rank (p<.001), and assignment (p<.05). Further, for turnover intention, significant differences were noted with respect to age (p<.001), education (p<.01), health status (p<.001), total service period (p<.01), work unit (p<.05), rank (p<.001), and assignment (p<.05). A significant correlation was found between job stress and emotional labor and turnover intention. Regarding the factors affecting turnover intention, significant differences were noted based on education, rank, job stress, and emotional labor; the explanatory power was 53.9% (F=13.806, p<.001). Conclusion: Tailored support programs must be developed to ease firefighters' job stress and reduce their emotional labor to facilitate effective manpower management and reduce firefighters' turnover intention.

Backbone NMR chemical shift assignment for the substrate binding domain of Escherichia coli HscA

  • HscA is a Hsp70-type chaperone protein that plays an essential role to mediate the iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster biogenesis mechanism in Escherichia coli. Like other Hsp70 chaperones, HscA is composed of two domains: the nucleotide binding domain (NBD), which can hydrolyze ATP and use its chemical energy to facilitate the Fe-S cluster transfer process, and the substrate binding domain (SBD), which directly interacts with the substrate, IscU, the scaffold protein of an Fe-S cluster. In the present work, we prepared the isolated SBD construct of HscA (HscA(SBD)) and conducted the solution-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments to have its backbone chemical shift assignment information. Due to low spectral quality of HscA(SBD), we obtained all the NMR data from the sample containing the peptide LPPVKIHC, the HscA-interaction motif of IscU, from which the chemical shift assignment could be done successfully. We expect that this information provides an important basis to execute detailed structural characterization of HscA and appreciate its interaction with IscU.

부정적 미래 상상과 그에 따른 부정성의 지연중성화 감소 (Imagining Negative Futures to Reduce the Delay Neutralization of Negativity)

  • Procrastination is an irrational choice to delay high-priority work in order to avoid its unpleasantness, despite the fact that the negativity will not cease if the work still remains undone. We hypothesized that (1) people underestimate the future negativity (i.e., delay neutralization) and (2) in order to complete work in a timely manner, one should project oneself into the future so as to recognize that the negativity associated with an activity does not diminish over time. Especially, negative future thinking that is unrelated to the consequence was hypothesized to reduce delay neutralization of negativity. In the present study, undergraduate students made a series of choices between delayed-but-longer and immediate-but-shorter assignment by employing an inter-temporal choice paradigm. We tracked how positive and negative episodic future thinking influenced the degree to which negativity is neutralized over time (Experiment 1). Following this, we confined the experimental condition to negative thinking about the future (Experiment 2). Participants neutralized negativity involved in assignment as a function of time, suggesting that procrastination arises from the delay neutralization of the negativity. Critically, such neutralization was significantly reduced when participants imagined a negative future event, but this did not occur when they imagined a positive future event (Experiment 1), or when participants did not think about the future (Experiment 1, 2). Our findings suggest that, prior to making a decision between work and indulgence, imagining negative future events can be an effective way to reduce the neutralization of delayed negativity and, in turn, procrastination.

치과의사 및 치과위생사의 치과팀 구성 및 업무 분장에 대한 견해 (A Survey of Dentists and Dental Hygienists on Dental Team Composition and Work Assignments)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the status and views on the dental team composition and works, the experience of a dental manpower shortage and opinions on the solution. The subjects were 313 dentists and dental hygienists. The mobile questionnaires were conducted on the status of dental team composition and works, the experience of a dental manpower shortage and opinions on the solution. There was no big difference between the current dental team composition and ideal composition ratio, and dentists answered that it would be more ideal to reduce dental hygiene and increase nurse assistant when the working dentist was 3~5. 85.6% of the dentists and 56.4% of the dental hygienists had difficulty in employing the dental auxiliary personnel. The difficulty level was 8 out of 10 points among dentists and 5.7 points among dental hygienists. 91.1% of the dentists and 95.5% of the dental hygienists agreed on the necessity of expanding the dental hygienist's work. The dental works were temporary crown making and setting, surgical operation assistance, and overall dental assistance. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to continuously make efforts to communicate with the dental personnel in Korea to solve a lot of problems such as the job assignment, the dental personnel policy and system, and the work environment.

신규간호사의 핵심기본간호술 수행과 업무스트레스 및 업무수행능력과의 관계 (Relationship among Essentials of Fundamental Nursing Skills Performance, Stress from Work and Work Capability of New Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study identifies the relation among the essentials of fundamental nursing skills performance (EFNSP), work capability and stress from work experienced by new clinical nurses. Method: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study with a self-reported questionnaire. The subjects were 224 new clinical nurses employed by general hospitals having more than 400 beds. The data, collected from February 10 to March 7, 2014, were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANCOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and hierarchical linear regression. Results: The highest frequency of EFNSP of new clinical nurses was vital sign measurement (4.74, ${\pm}.89$) and the lowest frequency of performance was Basic CPR & defibrillator application (1.81, ${\pm}.94$). There were significant positive correlations between frequency and confidence of EFNSP (r=.64, p<.001), frequency and work capability (r=.34, p<.001), and confidence of EFNSP and work capability (r=.48, p<.001), but negative correlation stress from work and work capability (r=-.17, p=.009). General characteristics, stress from work, frequency and confidence in EFNSP and stress from work explain 25.1% of work capability. Conclusion: This result suggests the importance of EFNSP education in nursing schools and availability of opportunities to practice EFNSP during the post-graduation waiting period until assignment to a hospital.

  • This paper propose an extended model for role-permission assignment based on locations called "Enhanced Role-Based Access Control (ERBAC03)". The proposed model is built upon the well-known RBAC model. Assigning permissions to role is considered too complex activity to accomplish directly. Instead we advocate breaking down this process into a number of steps. The concept of jobs and tasks is specifically introduced to facilitate role-permission assignment into a series of smaller steps. This model is suitable for any large organization that has many branches. Each branch consists of many users who work in difference roles. An administration tool has been developed to assist administrators with the administration of separation of duty requirements. It demonstrates how the specification of static requirements can be done based on "conflicting entities" paradigm. Static separation of duty requirements must be enforced in the administration environment. Finally, we illustrate how the ERBAC03 prototype is used to administer the separation of duty requirements.

  • The application of Hadamard matrix to the paral-lel routings on the hypercube network was presented by Rabin. In this matrix every two rows differ from each other by exactly n/2 positions. A set of n disjoint paths on n-dimensional hypercube net-work was designed using this peculiar property of Hadamard ma-trix. Then the data is dispersed into n packets and these n packet are transmitted along these n disjoint paths. In this paper Rabin's routing algorithm is analyzed in terms of covering problem and as-signment problem. Finally we conclude that n packets dispersed are placed in well-distributed positions during transmisson and the ran-domly selected paths are almost a set of n edge-disjoint paths with high probability.

A Flipped Classroom Model For Algorithm In College

  • In recent years there has been a rise in the use and interest of the flipped learning as a teaching and learning paradigm. The flipped learning model includes any use of Internet technology to enrich the learning in a classroom, so that a professor can spend more time interacting with students instead of lecturing. In the flipped model, students viewed video lectures online outside of class time. Students then performed two kinds of assignments, a teamwork assignment and an individual work assignment, through the class time. In this paper, we propose a flipped educational model for a college class. This experimental research compares class of college algorithm using the flipped classroom methods and the traditional lecture-homework structure and its effect on student achievement. The result data of mid-term exam and final exam were analyzed and compared with previous year data. The findings of this research show that there was not a significant difference in the scores of student between two lecturing methods. The survey result and lecture evaluation by students show that students are in favor of the flipped learning.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 혼합모델 조립라인밸런싱 (Mixed Model Assembly Line-Balancing Using Simulation)

  • This study deals with the productivity improvement on a flow production system with the consideration of line-balancing. In a flow production system, similar product models are produced on a same assembly line, the predefined process order and the limitation of total worker number. The system can be increased the work-in -process(WIP) inventory and the worker's idle time. In this study, the worker assignment model is developed to assign evenly workload of process to each product model in such a manner that each process has the different number of worker. This worker assignment model is the mathematical model that determines worker number in each process such that the idle time of processes is reduced and the utilization of worker is improved. We use a simulation technique to simulate the production line proposed by the mathematical model and apply real production line. With the result of simulation, this study analyzes the propriety of production line and proposes the alternatives of new production line

Backbone NMR chemical shift assignment of transthyretin

  • Transthyretin (TTR) is an important transporter protein for thyroxine (T4) and a holo-retinol protein in human. In its native state, TTR forms a tetrameric complex to construct the hydrophobic binding pocket for T4. On the other hand, this protein is also infamous for its amyloidogenic propensity, which causes various human diseases, such as senile systemic amyloidosis and familial amyloid polyneuropathy/cardiomyopathy. In this work, to investigate various structural features of TTR with solution-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, we conducted backbone NMR signal assignments. Except the N-terminal two residues and prolines, backbone 1H-15N signals of all residues were successfully assigned with additional chemical shift information of 13CO, 13Cα, and 13Cβ for most residues. The chemical shift information reported here will become an important basis for subsequent structural and functional studies of TTR.
