This study seeks to empirically investigate the impact of transformational leadership on employees' innovation with the mediating effect of technological diversity. Employees have evolved into leaders in organizing work within institutions over the last few decades. This shift presents new demands for leaders, who are forced to reinvent individual workers while also improving workplace innovation. This research proposes a conceptual model for considering transformational leadership and the impact of technological diversity on innovation. Structured questionnaire is used in the study and the analysis of the data from 633 employees of universities in the United Arab Emirates uses stratified sampling technique and hypotheses verified through Structural Equations Modelling (AMOS-21). According to the results, transformational leadership has a big effect on employees' innovation. Furthermore, in the relationship between transformational leadership and workforce innovation, technological diversity has a partial mediation impact. This research adds to the growing body of knowledge about how transformational leadership influences employees' innovation and how it affects employees' success, especially in the context of UAE-based universities. Overall, this research contributes to the previous studies wherein transformational leadership plays a critical role in influencing the innovative performance of employees and that, in turn, will promote diversification of technology in the organization.

The new innovation model that deals with agenda as sustainability, quality of life, societal challenges is emerging as NIS(National Innovation System) is needed to transit to post catch-up and creativity. To achieve this objective, there is a growing need for enhancing usage of ICT, end-user's needs, prolification of R&D results and social impact. Living Lab is the new innovation model that end-user's participation, co-work/network within actors and usage of user's experience and This study deal with Living Lab related R&D of ICT-based service from co-work with end-users. Example cases are Turku Archipelago Living Lab in Finland, and Living Lab projects in EU, EIT ICT Labs and ELLIOT. And the focus of case analysis is that reflection of user's needs and experience, and aspect of ICT usage.

Recently, the social issues such as low birth rate, an aging population has brought about decreasing labor productivity and productive population. To relieve these problems, the government has planned to set up smart working infrastructure and will raise the number of smart worker to around 30 percent of the total working population by 2015. This study scrutinizes to the meaning of smart working with the concepts of new work pattern and open innovation. The empirical analysis result shows 56.9% of SMBs thought a need for such system and 60.1% of them answered to adopt it. And the market related to smart working of SMBs will increase to 17.5% every year to the point that by 2014. It will be worth 1.54 trillion won and create up to 38,000 job positions. While prior researches on SMB suggested key drivers and guideline for innovation, this study gives some implications of impact and ripple effect of smart working as an innovation factor based on empirical analysis.

As social problems including aging, depopulation, healthcare, poverty, a lot of government, organizations is trying to solve the problems. Recently, social innovation is emerging as strategy for solving social problems around the world. Social innovation means more effective, sustainable and new solutions that increase total values of society. This study attempts to introduce microworks of the Samasource as a case of the business-community innovation model using IT. Samasource is one of three social ventures under the nonprofit organization Sama Group established in 2008. Its mission is to alleviate worldwide poverty by connecting unemployed people in impoverished countries to digital work. Based on the internet model "microwork", they split huge digital projects into small scales, and deliver them to BOP(Bottom Of Pyramid) groups through the internet. This case describes a business model, revenue model, and impact of Samasource's Microwork. Implications of the case were suggested in the conclusion. To this end, I would like to provide a meaningful implication to researchers and founders of the South Korea.

The case company has driven the six sigma innovation programme company wide for the last seven years without any stop in spite of the CEO change. There was neither any benchmark nor the sufficient number of internal experts during the initial stage of driving six sigma. However, the company raised a lot of innovation experts such as MBB, BB and GB, thereby successfully changed the way of employees' doing work and reaped an enormous amount of either visible or invisible performances as a result of implementing the six sigma innovation programme. This paper deals with both main activities undertaken at each stage of the innovation life cycle of six sigma and their performances in a ICT (Information Communication Technology) industry. The performances are described from the four aspects of a balanced score card (BSC) and finally some strategic implications suggested.

In this study, the current state of the plastics industry has been examined. The direction of development and innovation is reviewed and commented. The technical statuses of various sectors such as thermoplastic resin, composite material, mold engineering, and simulation have been scrutinized. In addition, the industrial status of each sector has been reviewed. Then, the challenges that the plastics manufacturing industry has to deal with have been discussed. Especially, the situation in Republic of Korea has been elaborated in detail. Based on the discussion, an open innovation strategy has been suggested. It has been argued in this work that the open innovation strategy will enables efficient funding and development by avoiding resource consuming rent seeking.

This study will explore the possibility of applying process innovation as a public library for business innovation. In order to do this, the study defines the concept of process innovation through the literature review. According to survey and focus group interviews with librarians working for public libraries, this study will organize work done at libraries into the following categories: acquisition, resource management, user management, user services, programs, volunteer management, marketing, library computerization system, facility management, general affairs and statistical management. In addition, through face-to-face surveys with librarians working for public libraries it is confirmed that there are issues within acquisition, user management, and applied process innovation. In response to these issues a new process has been developed. Using this new approach, book contract procedure and requests for book related work could be improved and optimized. In the user management section, the study analyzes the requirements and subscription procedures for members through a website survey of 30 public libraries in the United States and then provides an improved system through process analysis of the membership process of Korean public libraries. It is expected that the new system will contribute to improvements in user satisfaction as well as improvements in library workflow.

The article deals with problems of innovation development on a network basis, which require effective mechanisms of innovation communications. In research the organizational aspects of ICT infrastructure development for innovation networks sustainable development based on cooperative marketing principles is considered. The proposed research idea is based on the idea that ICT implementation is based not only on the operational approach for innovation management as a factor of efficiency of internal communications, but also on knowledge economy and post-industrial economy trends. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop an ICT model of innovation infrastructure to improve its effectiveness (strategic character) and efficiency (operative character) through increasing the efficiency of network communication interactions. Creation of information space and communication tools to support innovation network sustainable development and cooperation activities in research is proposed to be solved with the help of specialized ICT platform. It is shown, that ICT platform of innovation cooperation innovation network is important tool for common work of participants. ICT platform is considered as an integrated information system designed to automate business processes related to the sustainable development of innovation network, segment management and integration with HEI information systems and industrial cooperation. The main factors that determine the need to use a special ICT platform for innovation network cooperation were considered. The main issues of concurrent engineering (C-technology) application in high-technology industries and innovation cooperation for integrated product development were studied.

This paper presents the findings of a visiting scholarship research that was carried out at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Based on the extensive literature review, government databases and international statistics, it introduces an analytical framework for comparison of the national innovation systems (NIS) of China and Australia in regards to their strengths and weaknesses. This is done through individual examination and comparison of functions of typical institutions involved in innovation to reveal the structural characteristics and performances of the two systems. The interactions among these institutions are then analysed to illustrate their dynamics and efficiency. The comparison has shown clearly that China's NIS has several weaknesses and gaps due to its developing and transition stage. There are positive signs that Chinese Government has recognised the nature and scope of the problem and seems to work in the right direction. This paper aims to support this process by providing some recommendations that could help bridge the gaps between the NISs of China and Australia. Due to the fact that both, China's and Australia's NISs, have their unique characteristics but share numerous complementary features, there is a large potential for further cooperation between the two national innovation systems.

Changes in the business environment in which intense and sustained growth and survival must meet a variety of customer needs (Q, C, D) and business side of the enterprise for profit structure reformation is absolutely necessary for innovation activities. So far, management of innovation in method BPR, PI, OVA, 6 Sigma, Strategic Purchasing, PPM, SCM etc. are being introduced. However, they have a limit of partial optimization and improvement-oriented techniques. So this paper studied the TPI(Total Profit Innovation) application in order to derive empirical methodology to maximize profitability for the domestic S foundry factory. To this end, long-term gains through structural analysis and intensity analysis to ensure continued growth and profitability strategy are devised through management Innovation analysis. And improvement projects was presented to solve main issues of five categories(Inventory, Sales Mix, Cost, Quality Cost, Skill and Work-load) We will expect the office productivity improvement and financial performance improvement and then continually accumulate and review the results.
