The main purpose of this study is to provide a new approach to conceptualize and measure distrust based on existing researches concerning trust. One of the traditional approach has viewed that trust and distrust are opposed constructs placed on a continuous measure and that trust has positive impact and distrust has negative impact. But this study tries to test empirically that trust and distrust are independent constructs which can be distinguishable, and that both constructs are ambivalent. In addition, this study also tries to provide empirical test that distrust can have a positive effect on transaction relationship. We analyzed the possibility that both trust and distrust can be distinguishable and ambivalent with various antecedents and consequences of two constructs. We also analyzed the effect of distrust on cooperation and functional conflict in order to manifest the positive role of distrust as a relationship variable. The result for testing hypotheses is as follows: First, all hypotheses for antecedents and consequences of trust are significant, but some of hypotheses for antecedents and consequences of distrust are not significant. Second, both constructs can be distinguishable and ambivalent to some extent as the hypotheses for reputation are significant, which is one of the antecedents of distrust and considered jointly with other antecedents, transaction specific asset and environmental uncertainty. Lastly, the result showed the positive role of distrust that has a positive effect on functional conflict.
The crystal and molecular structure of acetone 4-benzylthiosemicarbazone, $C_{11}H_{15}N_3S$, has been determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The crystals are monoclinic, space group $P2_1/c$ with unit cell dimensions, a = 10.249(7), b = 11.403(9), c = 10.149(7)TEX>${\AA}$, ${\beta}$ = 90.9$(1)^0$ and z = 4. The intensities were collected on an automatic four-circle diffractometer with graphite-monochromated Mo-$K_{\alpha}$ radiation. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full matrix least-squares methods. The final R was 0.045 for 1554 observed reflections. S-C(8)-N(2)-N(3)-C(9)-C(10) atoms make a zigzag planar chain. There are no unusual bond lengths and angles. There are two independent hydrogen bonds in the crystal structure. One is N-H${\cdots}$S intermolecular hydrogen bond with the length of 3.555${\AA}$ and makes dimer-like units. The other is N-H${\cdots}$N intramolecular hydrogen bond with the length of 2.568${\AA}$. The structure was compared with those of other thiosemicarbazone derivatives.
Dioxobis(sub.-salicylaldiminato) molybdenum (VI) complexes, $MoO_2\;(X-sal-N-R)_2,\;(X=H,\;5-CH_3,\;R=C_6H_5,\;p-F-C_6H_4,\;m-Cl-C_6H_4,p-I-C_6H_4\;and\;p-C_2H_5-C_6H_4)$, have been prepared by reactions of dioxobis(sub.-salicylaldehydato) molybdenum (VI), $MoO_2(X-sal)_2$ with primary amines, in which $MoO_2(X-sal)_2$ complexes were obtained by acidification of a mixture solution of ammonium paramolybdate in water and appropriate salicylaldehyde in methanol. All these complexes show two strong Mo=O stretching imodes in the 900-940$cm^{-1}$ and p.m.r. spectra exhibited only one signal for the azomethine group. These results confirmed that the complexes are six-coordinated octahedron with a $cis-MoO_2$ group and the geometrical configurations of the complexes possess a C2 axis of symmetry. From the mass analyses of the complexes, it found that the composition ratios of $MoO_2$ : ligand are 1 : 2. The charge transfer transition corresponding to N-Mo, and O-Mo occured at 29,000$cm^{-1}$ and 32,000$cm^{-1}$ respectively. Where, the complexes were found to be non-ionic materials by conductivity measurements in dimethylformamide.
We investigated the use of mashed red pepper in the manufacture of kimchi using various freezing point depression agents (glucose, pectin, ascorbic acid or NaCl). In sensory evaluation results, overall acceptance seemed to be highly related to NaCl content. Kimchi was prepared using mashed red pepper with different levels of NaCl (3, 5, and 10% w/w), and quality characteristics were investigated during storage at $10^{\circ}C$. Salt concentrations of kimchi prepared with addition of 3, 5, or 10% NaCl, and control kimchi, were 2.28, 2.47, 3.10 and 1.92%, respectively. pH values varied significantly among treatments but acidity levels did not differ significantly except during the early stages of production. With increasing NaCl addition, the acidity of kimchi was lower than that of control samples during later fermentation periods. At day 20, the reducing sugar level in control kimchi had decreased by 70% whereas NaCl treatment caused decreases of 45 - 55%. The vitamin C contents of kimchi prepared with addition of NaCl (125.88-145.23 mg/100 g) were higher than that of control (37.22 mg/100 g). In sensory evaluation tests, appearance and texture did not differ significantly with treatment or fermentation period. When taste and overall acceptance were scored, kimchi prepared with the addition of 3% NaCl attained the highest marks throughout the entire fermentation period.
This study examines the job and life satisfactions of the self-employed. It uses the Korean Labour and Income Panel Study(KLIPS, hereafter) data for 1998 and 2004. We examine the phases of satisfaction and what variables influence satisfaction for both years and compare the results in order to see what changed between the two regimes. We make use of k-means clustering to divide self-employed into similar degrees of satisfaction. As a result, we are able to classify the self-employed into three groups(low, medium and high) both for the two regimes. High groups consists of relatively younger, well-educated, low working dates, higher proportion of woman than other groups. As a result of regression analysis, we have some evidence that women are more satisfied than men for job satisfaction and that the existence of income is more important than the amount of income for life satisfaction. The age, education, satisfaction for working place, and health are significant to both satisfactions.

Uterine leiomyoma is the most common tumor in the female genital tract. Although the tumor is benign, it is a matter of paramount importance since it often causes profuse menstrual bleeding, pressure symptoms and infertility. Nevertheless, the etiology and pathophysiology of this abnormality remain poorly understood. The traditional definitive treatment for uterine leiomyomas is hysterectomy and, even today, symptomatic leiomyomas are the leading cause of hysterectomy in Korea. Clearly, the development of a safe, effective, and nonsurgical method of treatment for leiomyoma would be of great benefit to many women. This study demonstrated growth inhibition of uterine leiomyoma cells using Haeohyultang (HT). When human leiomyoma cells were treated with Haeohyultang, cells showed dose-dependent growth inhibitory effect. Cell growth was inhibited by over 40% as determined by both cell counts and MTS assay. Reduction of cellular viability as a consequence of exposure to Haeohyultang resulted from induction of apoptosis, as assessed by DNA fragmentation, PARP cleavage, caspase 9 and caspase 3 assay. Flow cytometry analysis with uterine leiomyoma cells demonstrated sub G1 cell cycle arrest after treatment with drug Haeohyultang. But, the expression levels of p27 and p21 were not changed in Haeohyultang treated cells compared with control. However, the expression levels of clAP1 were reduced by Haeohyultang compared with control. This reduction of clAP1 data means activation of the caspase family, and then induction of PARP cleavage and apoptosis. These results suggest that Haeohyultang may be potential therapeutic approach in the clinical management of uterine leiomyoma.
1. Objectives and Methods The purpose of this study was to objectify the diagnosis of Sasang constitution. It analyzed the adult male and female voices into 23factors using PSSC-2004. The study was conducted by subjects inputting 2.5-3 sec of [a] in 586 men and women's voices to PSSC-2004. The statistical analyses are applied to three groups: total group, male group, female group. The group with a total of 586 was composed of 155 Soyangin, 230 Taeumin and 201 Soeumin. The male group was composed with 61 Soyangin, 127 Taeumin and 87 Soeumin. The female group was composed with 94 Soyangin, 103 Taeumin and 114 Soeumin. Taeyangin were excluded for a more accurate statistical analysis. 2. Results (I) In total group, Taeumin's peak sum was significantly high compared with the others(P=0.021). It was significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soyangin at the result of post mortem. (2) In total group, the Soyangin's rank6, rank7 and rank8 were significantly high compared with the others (P=0.050)(0.043)(0.034). (3) In total group, the Soyangin's rank9 was significantly high compared with the others(P=0.025). It was significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soyangin at the result of post mortem. (4) In male group, the Soyangin's code3 was significantly high compared with the others(P=0.050). (5) In male group, the Soyangin's code1 was significantly low compared with the others(P=0.004). It was significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soyangin at the result of post mortem. (6) In male group, the Soyangin's rank1, rank2, rank3 and rank4 were significantly high compared with the others(P=0.017)(0.008) (0.005)(0.002). They were significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soyangin at the result of post mortem. (7) In female group, the Taeumin's code1 was significantly low compared with the others(P=0.016). It was significant for distinction between Taeumin and Soeumin at the result of post mortem. 3. Conclusion From above result, there is the possibility of efficiency standard gide for constitutional diagnosis by analyzation of the voices.

This study, based on a health belief model, examines how baby boomers perceive health and how they are financially preparing for future medical expenses. In addition, the study analyzes which factors influence baby boomers' preparation behaviors for future medical expenses and their perceived sufficiency of the preparation for medical expenses. Through such activities, this study examines baby boomers' current preparation status for future medical expenses, and based on this outcome, will turn the attention of individuals and society toward becoming more concerned with health and increasing health expectancy. For this study, an online survey was conducted targeted at men and women who were born between 1955 and 1963 and live nationwide, and its resultant data were collected. After conducting a 15-day survey in November 2011, a total of 418 questionnaire responses were used for the final analysis. The major findings of this study and their implications are as follows: First, baby boomers' health beliefs and their perceptions of health identified by subjective health conditions were very positive. Second, while there were some partial differences in the influencing factors, health beliefs and perceived health influenced the sufficiency of future medical expenses in the three groups, which were segmented according to how they prepare for future medical expenses-insurance-based, pension-based, and insufficiently prepared groups. Third, the baby boomers selected the national health insurance as the primary means of preparing for post-retirement medical expenses, and backed it up with private health insurance or the national pension. In addition, when baby boomers' perceived sufficiency of future medical expenses were examined, 57.6% of the respondents expressed that their old-age medical expenses were not sufficient. Fourth, in terms of baby boomers' preparation behaviors for future medical expenses, it was revealed that as one recognizes old-age health more seriously, he/she has a higher chance of using insurance and lower chance of using a pension to prepare for medical expenses. Fifth, regarding baby boomers' sufficiency of preparations for future medical expenses, economic factors such as total assets, the sufficiency of retirement assets, and the number of insurance policies, as well as health perceptions, including health beliefs and subjective health conditions, were important influencing factors.
This study was aimed to thoroughly estimate the characteristics of indoor particulate matter (PM) collected on subway platforms by the cooperative approach of semi-bulk and single particle analyses. The size-resolved PM and its number concentration were measured on the platform in a heavily traveled subway station in Fukuoka, Japan. Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) and micro-PIXE techniques were applied to the chemical analyses of semi-bulk and single particle, respectively. There was the close resemblance of timely fluctuation between PM number concentration and train service on the third basement floor (B3F) platform compared to the second basement floor (B2F) and its maximum level was marked in rush hour. Higher number counts in large particles ($>1{\mu}m$) and lower number counts in fine particles ($<1{\mu}m$) were shown on the platform compared to an above ground. PM2.5 accounted for 58.2% and 38.2 % of TSP on B3F and on B2F, respectively. The elements that were ranked at high concentration in size-resolved semi-bulk PM were Fe, Si, Ca, S, and Na. The major elements tending to have more elevated levels on B3F than B2F were Fe (4.4 times), Ca (17.3 times), and Si (46.4 times). Although concentrations were very low, Cr ($11.9ng\;m^{-3}$ on B3F, $2.4ng\;m^{-3}$ on B2F), Mn ($3.4ng\;m^{-3}$ on B3F, $0.9ng\;m^{-3}$ on B2F), and Pb ($0.6ng\;m^{-3}$ on B3F, $1.6ng\;m^{-3}$ on B2F) were detected from PM2.5. Individual PM was nearly all enriched in Fe with Si and Ca. Classifying and source profiling of the individual particles by elemental maps and particle morphology were tried and particles were presumably divided into four groups (i.e., train/rail friction, train-rail sparking, ballast/abrasive, and cement).
Purpose : To investigate the feasibility of in vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) for evaluation of lung cancer. Materials and Methods: This prospective study was approved by the institutional review board of our hospital and informed consent was obtained in all patients. Ten patients (7 men, 3 women; mean age, 64.4) with pathologicallyproven lung cancer (mean, 56.8 mm; range, 44-77 mm) were enrolled to 1.5 T MRS using a single-voxel respiration-triggered point-resolved spectroscopic sequence. Technical success rate and the reason of technical failure, if any, were investigated. Results: Out of 10 lung cancers, analyzable MRS spectra were obtained in 8 tumors (technical success rate, 80%). Two MRS datasets were not able to be analyzed due to serious baseline distortion. Choline and lipid signals were detected as major metabolites in analyzable MRS spectra. Conclusion: In vivo proton MRS method using a single-voxel respiration-triggered point-resolved spectroscopic sequence is feasible in obtaining the MR spectra of lung cancer because these spectra were analyzable and high success rate was shown in our study although there was the limitation of small patient group.
