An important technique used by database administrators (DBAs) is to improve performance in decision-support workloads associated with a Star schema is multi-level partitioning. Queries will then benefit from performance improvements via partition elimination, due to constraints on queries expressed on the dimension tables. As the task of multi-level partitioning can be overwhelming for a DBA we are proposing a wizard that facilitates the task by calculating a partitioning scheme for a particular workload. The system resides completely on a client and interacts with the costing estimation subsystem of the query optimizer via an API over the network, thereby eliminating any need to make changes to the optimizer. In addition, since only cost estimates are needed the wizard overhead is very low. By using a greedy algorithm for search space enumeration over the query predicates in the workload the wizard is efficient with worst-case polynomial complexity. The technology proposed can be applied to any clustering or partitioning scheme in any database management system that provides an interface to the query optimizer. Applied to the Teradata database the technology provides recommendations that outperform a human expert's solution as measured by the total execution time of the workload. We also demonstrate the scalability of our approach when the fact table (and workload) size increases.

본 연구는 2주탑 3경간 사장교의 사업기획 단계에서 3차원 모델정보에 기반하여 신속한 개략 공사비 및 물량 산정을 지원하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 우선, 기 설계된 사장교 설계정보(구조계산서, 도면, 수량)를 분석하여 설계변수를 도출하였다. 도출된 설계변수를 기반으로 매개변수적으로 사장교를 3차원 모델링하는 BIM Wizard를 개발하였다. BIM Wizard를 이용해 작성된 3차원 모델로부터 사장교의 주요 재료에 대한 수량을 직접 산출하며, 케이블 교량에 대한 단가 D/B와 산출된 수량을 연계하여 개략공사비를 산정할 수 있다. 결과적으로, 사업 초기단계에서 m당 혹은 $m^2$당 실적 평균공사비를 산출하는 재래적인 방식보다 더 구체화된 공사비를 산출할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하였다. 이로써, 우리는 사장교에 대해 입찰단계에서 가능한 신속하게 다양한 대안을 검토할 수 있을 것이다.

Bridge construction cost estimates have generally been conducted by using historial unit-price(per meter or square meter). The traditional estimating method based on unit-price references can never completely reflect the specialty of cable supported bridge. In this paper, we have developed the system for supporting the approximate construction cost and the quantity estimation based on 3D model information in the pre-project planning phase of 3-span continuous suspension bridge with 2-pylons. First of all, we'd analyzed the design information (such as structural design report, blueprint and quantity) and the real cost data from the existing suspension bridges and derived the design variables of the bridges. We developed the BIM wizard that generates a suspension bridge model parametrically based on derived design variables. The principle material quantities of suspension bridge are calculated directly from 3-dimensional bridge model built by using the BIM wizard. We have established the system that the construction cost can be estimated more specific than the traditional estimating method.

정보 검색 시스템이나 웹(Web)이 방대해지고 초보적 수준의 사용자들이 늘어남에 따라 간단한 조작만으로 원하는 정보를 얻어낼 수 있는 도구의 개발이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 일반적으로 정보 검색 시스템이나 검색 엔진을 통한 질의 입력 방법이나 연산자들이 매우 다양하며 일반 사용자들은 질의를 형식화 하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 본 논문은 일반 사용자가 정보 검색 시스템이나 검색 엔진을 통하여 정보를 검색하기 위한 검색어 형식화를 도와주는 개념 마법사를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 개념 마법사는 실세계 지식의 부족을 시소러스를 이용하여 인터렉티브(interactive) 하게 제시하고 웹을 기반으로 하는 플러그인(plug-in)으로 제공함으로써 유용성 및 확장성이 크다.

인터넷의 대중화와 더불어 인터넷의 활용분야가 모든 산업 분야에 파급되고 있는데, 특히 사이버 교육 분야도 인터넷 응용에 의해 많은 변화가 일어나고 있다. 그 중에 한 분야가 대학 진학 상담이다. 대학입시 업무 흐름에 있어서 수험생들은 원서 접수를 학교에 직접 방문해서 접수하는 방식과 각 지역 접수 창구와 팩스를 통하여 원서 접수를 하는 방식을 유기적으로 통합하여 관리할 수 있는 인터넷 원서 접수 환경이 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수험자들이 지능형 다중 에이전트를 이용하여 학과를 선택하는 과정에서 추천 학과 마법사를 통하여 수능 성적과 학생부 내신 등급으로 자신의 적성과 수능점수에 적합한 학과를 추천받아서 원서 접수시 소신지원 및 안정지원을 할 수 있는 인터넷 원서 접수 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

본 논문에서는 웹 프로그래밍 기술이 없이도 일반 사용자가 웹 데이터베이스 구축과 함께 멀티미디어 홈페이지를 작성하도록 해주는 시스템(웹삐에로) 개발을 기술한다. 본 시스템은 페이지 에디터, 웹 데이터베이스를 자동 구축해주는 데이터베이스 마법사와, 웹 데이터베이스의 생성 및 수정을 지원하는 데이터베이스 관리자로 구성되어 있다. 데이터베이스 마법사는 홈페이지 템플릿과 연동되는 데이터베이스를 자동으로 생성하고 로컬 사용자 영역에 서버를 자동적으로 구축하는 기능을 갖는다. 페이지 에디터는 DHTML(Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language) 컴포넌트를 기반으로 구현되었으며 멀티미디어 홈페이지를 대화형으로 쉽게 제작할 수 있게 한다. 데이터베이스 관리자는 웹 데이터베이스를 생성, 수정 및 유지 보수하는 기능을 제공한다. 본 시스템은 웹 데이터베이스 프로그래밍 기술이 없이도 웹 데이터베이스와 연동되는 홈페이지 작성을 쉽게 구축하도록 하는 특징을 갖는다.

원자력 발전소 설비의 건전성 확인을 위해서 주기적일 초음파탐상검사가 수행되고 있다. 수동 초음파탐상검사는 검사자의 경험 및 현장여건에 따라 균일한 검사 품질에 영향을 주게 되나, 자동 초음파탐상검사는 스캐너의 적용으로 검사 결과의 일관성을 유지하고, 디스크에 저장된 검사결과는 제3자에 의한 검토가 가능하다. 국내 원자력발전소에서 사용 중인 상용 초음파검사 시스템은 장비 구매, 교육 및 교정 등을 해외에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 초음파 하드웨어, 배관 스캐너 및 초음파검사 프로그램(SonicWizard)으로 구성된 초음파검사 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템의 검증을 위해 원전 배관 용접부의 자동 초음파검사 기량검증을 응시하여 인증을 획득하였으며, 현장 배관 감육 자동 초음파검사를 수행하여 정확한 감육상태를 확인함으로써 개발된 자동 초음파검사 시스템의 유효성을 확인하였다.

Purpose The study focuses on the physical activity behavior change effect of smart wristband, which is the most popular type of fitness tracker nowadays. The purpose of the research is to investigate how people's workout behavior may change after wearing a smart band and examine what kind of role persuasive design plays in behavior change. Design/Methodology/Approach This research employed an experimental study to examine whether the user's workout behaviors changed after using wristband from the "Behavior Wizard" perspective. A representative smart wristband from a major vendor was selected as the objects of experimental study. In the experiment, by comparing users' workout behavior before and after using the wristband, behavior changes of all the experiment participants were classified into one of the 15 behavior change types. Users perceived persuasive design characteristics were measured and group differences were tested among different behavior change groups. Findings This research found that nearly half of the participants changed their workout behavior while half retained their workout status or no exercise status. Half of the participants who did not do exercise in their spare time started walking in the experiment. Results also showed that participants who started working out perceived higher levels of persuasive design devised into the smart band than participants who preserved no exercise status, except for facilitation and reward strategies. Participants who retained workout and those who increased workout frequency perceived no difference in smart band persuasive design.

본 논문에서는 웹 페이지 제작을 위한 기본지식이 전혀 없는 초보자나 비전공자라 할지 라도 간단한 마우스 조작과 최소한의 필요정보 입력만으로 가상강의 홈페이지를 사용자의 요청에 따라 제작할 수 있고, 제작 완료한 홈페이지는 지정한 임의의 서버에 자동으로 설치할 수 있으며, 홈페이지의 운용과정에서 요구되는 홈페이지의 수정은 웹 페이지 소스를 직접 수정하지 않더라도 손쉽게 유지보수 할 수 있도록 하는 주문형 페이지 자동화 시스템과 이의 구현방법에 관해 연구하였다.

PCR법은 특정 유전자를 증폭하는 기술로 작물 및 식품에서 유전자 변형체 함유 여부를 가리는 효과적인 방법이다. 그러나 핵산의 추출법에 따라 PCR의 감도가 크게 달라지므로 정확한 추출법의 선정이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 현재 컬럼형 상용화 키트와 기존의 용매 추출방법을 이용하여 콩과 옥수수가공식품에 대한 각 유전자 부위의 검출감도를 비교 분석하였다. 핵산의 추출효율과 도입유전자의 증폭효율면 모두 상용화 키트인 Wizar$d^{TM}$, DNeasy$^{TM}$ 추출법이 우수하였다. DNeasy법은 대부분의 식품에서 우수한 추출효율을 보였으나, 옥수수가공식품에서 수율이 감소하는 단점을 나타내었다. Wizard법은 모든 가공식품에서 고른 추출효율을 보였으며, PCR반응에 의한 증폭산물도 잘 보존되어 가공식품의 GMO 검출에 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 한편 CTAB법은 콩가공식품에서 약간 효율이 좋은 것으로 나타났으나 대부분의 경우 효율이 낮았으며, 식품의 종류에 따라 편차가 심하게 나타났다. phenol/chloroform법은 대부분의 식품에서 핵산의 분리가 어려운 방법으로 나타나 GMO분석에는 적합하지 않은 방법으로 확인되었다.
