XML Digital signature System based on Mobile Environment (모바일 환경에서의 XML 문서 디지털 서명 시스템)

  • Recently, More and more consumer enjoy the finance service such as settling, account transferring, stocks investment, and so via mobile device. In the mobile environment, data transferring between the devices is formatted as XML. However, the common XML file is exposed to the attack such as hacking and malignity code, to satisfy security of mobile environment is very difficult. The problem is more seriously at the open platform such as WIPI that is developed by our country. So there is enough reason to propose one system to protect the import data. In this paper, we development the system to digital signature and signature the XML document in order to protect data, and the system is observing the recommendation of the XML Signature Syntax and Processing by W3C. When designing and composition the system, we use the digital signature algorithm RSA, DSA, KCDSA, and HMAC, etc. we test the system at the open WIPI platform.

  • 본 논문에서는 위피(WIPI, Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) 플랫폼 상에서 운용되는 2D/3D 컨텐츠 제작을 위한 저작도구를 설계하며, 2D 및 3D API를 사용하는 응용 프로그램 작성을 직접 지원한다. 사용자는 드래그와 드롭(Drag & Drop), 스프라이트 깜빡임(Sprite Blitting), 스프라이트 회전(Sprite Rotation), API 추가/삭제 기능, 코드 배포 등의 기능을 이용하여 Jlet의 기본 골격을 저작도구의 버튼 하나로 손쉽게 작성할 수 있게 된다. API 추가/삭제 기능을 이용하여 기존 작업을 손쉽게 재사용하거나, 작성 결과물을 코드 배포 기능을 이용하여 하나의 jar 파일로 간단히 작성할 수 있게 된다. 스프라이트 및 2D/3D 관련 기능은 게임 등의 컨텐츠의 코드 작성 시 효율성을 크게 증가 시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기능을 가진 위피용 컨텐츠 저작도구를 설계하며 제안하였다.

A Mobile Course Coordinator System for Learning Profound Major Field (전공 분야 심화 학습을 위한 모바일 코스 코디네이터 시스템)

  • The rapid progress of IT technologies promoted the foundation to offer users 'Any Time, Any Where, Any Service', and wireless internet services made it possible to use wired internet services while traveling. The previous academic administration management system having migrated from wired to wireless was dependent on mobile equipments' platform because of not being constructed on standard surroundings. And in the aspect of faculty system, course coordinator plays an significant role in building curricula and manage them, and finally counseling students with regard to them. But the course coordinator can't afford to advise students on which fields of their faculty fit them and which courses they have to take. We propose a mobile course coordinator system to help students learn profound courses of their major fields. Also the proposed system is implemented by using JAVA and WIPI technology, so that it is platform-independent. A mobile course coordinator system has an inference engine considering not only course trees which tell informations about the courses in every fields, but also personal courses that students have taken. The inference engine calculates three weights, representing the significance of each course considering every fields, the score of prerequisite courses which a student have taken, and the suitability in which department each student fits. When students apply for taking lectures, a mobile course coordinator system recommends them the most suitable courses. A mobile course coordinator system is able to substitute for the course coordinator who is counseling students. And the students with personal cellular phone are able to keep tracking their courses, and improve their knowledge about major with taking courses which the system's inference engine will advice.

  • The technique of the information communication are advanced recently and a performance enhance of a hand carried computing device was developed rapidly. Mobile Communication Carrier developed currently the phone navigation and are carrying out the service. But such service localizes at the vehicle movement. In This paper, we explain a system structure for the pedestrian navigation of the Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability(WIPI) mobile phone which contains the MS-Based Global Positioning System(GPS) internally. And we verified the result to be developed by this method that proposes.

  • In the aspect of the faculty, a course coordinator plays an significant role in managing the curriculum and counseling students on academic matters and fostering their progress in the course. However, the course coordinator cannot afford to advise students on which fields of their faculty fit them and which courses they have to take.   • Performance of the mobile devices greatly depends on the efficient resource management because they are usually resource-restricted. In particular, the dynamic storage allocation algorithms very important part of the mobile device's operating system and OS-like software platform. The existing dynamic storage allocation algorithms did not consider application's execution style and the type, life-time, and characteristics of memory objects that the application uses. Those algorithms, as a result, could not manage memory efficiently Therefore, this Paper analyzes the mobile application's execution characteristics and proposes anew dynamic storage allocation algorithm which saves the memory space and improves mobile application's execution speed. The test result shows that the proposed algorithm works 6.5 times faster than the linked-list algorithm[11], 2.5 times faster better than the Doug. Lea's algorithm[12] and 10.5 times faster than the Brent algorithm[14].

  • Recently, according to development of wired and wireless networks, contents production of user-defined changes a environment producing contents that it get out of manufactured contents offered by mobile telecommunication company. This paper propose a system proposing and registering a contents service provider of mobile telecommunication company for user-defined mobile contents production and transmission. We propose a system using web hosting service for user-defined mobile contents production and solution for system and transmission for contents production of a person and enterprises.

  • Beyond a simple voice service, the advances in performance and resolution of mobile handsets provides us various features in the field of mobile services. Also, advances in the human-machine interface, electronics and embedded system technologies have created the foundation for a dramatic shift in the way the vehicles are diagnosed and maintained. In this paper, we will show the vehicle diagnostic system using the mobile handset based on the OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics version II) protocol. After 2005, OBD-II standard is obligatory for all vehicles selling in Korea. Our research topics are OBD-II protocol converter for the mobile handset and the vehicle diagnostics system on WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) mobile platform, which is the standard mobile platform in Korea.

A Multimedia Contents Recommendation System using Preference Transition Probability (선호도 전이 확률을 이용한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 추천 시스템)

  • Recently Digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) has been available as a commercial service. The users sometimes have difficulty in finding their preferred multimedia contents and need to spend a lot of searching time finding them. They are even very likely to miss their preferred contents while searching for them. In order to solve the problem, we need a method for recommendation users preferred only minimum information. We propose an algorithm and a system for recommending users' preferred contents using preference transition probability from user's usage history. The system includes four agents: a client manager agent, a monitoring agent, a learning agent, and a recommendation agent. The client manager agent interacts and coordinates with the other modules, the monitoring agent gathers usage data for analyzing the user's preference of the contents, the learning agent cleans the gathered usage data and modeling with state transition matrix over time, and the recommendation agent recommends the user's preferred contents by analyzing the cleaned usage data. In the recommendation agent, we developed the recommendation algorithm using a user's preference transition probability for the contents. The prototype of the proposed system is designed and implemented on the WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability). The experimental results show that the recommendation algorithm using a user's preference transition probability can provide better performances than a conventional method.

Design and Implementation of XML Encryption and Digital signature API for Mobile Environment (모바일 환경에서 XML 암호화 및 전자서명 API 설계 및 구현)

  • Various other platforms have appeared due to the abolishment of WIPI requirement and increased problems related with hacking and security. Since levels consisting of these platforms are composed of various APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) which are not standardized, other ways must be considered to protect data which are transferred using XML formats. Therefore, XML encryption API and XML digital signature API for data protection and certification, which are both responsible to define mark-up languages for XML encryption and digital signature respectively, were designed in this paper. The simulation system which played the role of the server and client between two terminal units was realized to validate the APIs.
