Design and Development of Large Electric Curtain Control System for Time Controlled (대형전동커튼 타임제어 시스템 설계 및 개발)

  • The purpose of this paper is to design a curtain control system for centralized management of large curtains, which includes curtain structure, electric curtain controller, communication system, user interface and remote control. Curtain structure is designed to avoid using limit switch. The system is based on microprocessor, determined the stop position and complete running time of electric curtain through time control, and achieved remote control of curtain opening and closing through wired and wireless communication modes. By establishment of a mathematical model to calculate the inertia compensation time of the electric curtain, the electric curtain can be stopped ahead of time, and the curtain can be completely closed by the inertia. The result of test experiment of 32 electric curtain controllers shows the communication success rate reached 100%.

Radio Resource Scheduling Approach For Femtocell Networks

  • The radio resources available in a wireless network system are limited. Therefor, job of managing resources is not easy task. Because the resources are shared among the UEs that are connected, the process of assigning resources must be carefully controlled. The packet scheduler in an LTE network is in charge of allocating resources to the user equipment (UE). Femtocells networks are being considered as a promising solution for poor channel performance for mulitple environments. The implementation of femtocells into a macrocell (traditional base station) would boost the capacities of the cellular network. To increase femtocells network capacity, a reliable Packet Scheduler mechanism should be implemented. The Packet Scheduler technique is introduced in this paper to maximize capacity of the network while maintaining fairness among UEs. The proposed solution operates in a manner consistent with this principle. An analysis of the proposed scheme's performance is conducted using a computer simulation. The results reveal that it outperforms the well-known PF scheduler in terms of cell throughput and average throughput of UEs.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰으로 원격제어하고, 카메라 영상을 전송하는 소형 자동차인 Spycar에 대해 소개한다. Spycar의 특징은 원격조정 단말기를 특수 제작된 전용장비나 PC등을 이용하지 않고 안드로이드 기반의 스마트폰을 이용한다는 것에 있다. 이와 같은 시스템의 구성은 원격조정 시스템 구성을 위한 비용을 절감할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 사용의 편리성을 극대화하기 때문에 무인로봇의 활용영역을 일반 가전분야에도 확대하는 것에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • This study was performed to avoid the chemical spraying environment condition during spraying operation for operator's safety through the development of a remote controlled speed sprayer. The summerized results of this study are as followings. 1. The developed VHF electric wave remote controlling system which could operate sixteen type of operation conditions with the circuit channels of 234 was highly adaptable to speed sprayer for the remote control. 2. The commerical wireless telephones adapted the DTMF type electric wave remote control system need not the tranceiver. 3. The wireless electric wave remote control system combined with one-chip microcomputer, which are low cost with compact in size, could be adaptable to the remote control of the speed sprayer for the wheel steering and speed control system, and to the remote control chemical application system.

  • The image information acquired by a model submarine is transmitted through the repeater. The control signal of a position for submarine and its speed is also controlled by the repeater. Shooting images of underwater circumstances are transmitted to the repeater where the received signal controls a position and speed of underwater submarine. This repeater is combined by a buoy that is floating on the surface to relay the signal of image as well as control between a control unit and a submarine whereas the repeater communicates wirelessly with a control unit. Due to wire communication between the repeater and the submarine, the underwater exploration can be smoothly carried out without a risk of loss of a model submarine. Also, connecting to the repeater and control unit wirelessly makes it possible to conduct easily the underwater exploration. The convergence technology that combines a wireless communication and a control as well as a model submarine is designed.

  • This paper describes a COMS IF transceiver IC for 10-MHz bandwidth wireless local loops. It interfaces between the RF section and the digital MODEM section and performs the IF-to-baseband (Rx) and baseband-to-IF (Tx) frequency conversions. The chip incorporates variable gain amplifiers, phase-locked loops, low pass filters, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. It has been implemented in a 0.6 -${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ 2-poly 3-metal CMOS process. The phase-locked loops include voltage-controlled oscillators, dividers, phase detectors, and charge pumps on chip. The only external complonents are the filter and the varactor-tuned LC tank circuit. The chip size is 4 mm $\times$ 4 mm and the total supply current is about 57 mA at 3.3 V.

  • An intelligent robot with RSSI based indoor location estimation function was designed and implemented. A wireless sensor node was attached to the robot to received the location data from the indoor location estimation function. Spartan III was used as the main control device in the mobile robot. The current location data collected from the indoor location estimation system was transferred to the mobile robot and server through Zigbee/IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication of the sensor node. Once the location data is received, the sensor node senses the direction of the robot head and directs the robot to move to its destination. Indoor location estimation intelligent robot is able to move efficiently and actively to the user appointed location by implementing the proposed obstacles avoidance algorithm. This system is able to monitor real-time environmental data and location of the robot using PC program. Indoor location estimation intelligent robot also can be controlled by executing the instructions sent from the PC program.

  • An intelligent home network system using low-power and low-cost sensor nodes was designed and implemented. In Intelligent Home Network System, active home appliances control is composed of RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) based user indoor location tracking, dynamic multi-hop routing, and learning integration remote-control. Through the remote-control learning, home appliances can be controlled in wireless network environment. User location information for intelligent service is calculated using RSSI based Triangle measurement method, and then the received location information is passed to Smoothing Algorithm to reduce error rate. In order to service Intelligent Home Network, moreover, the sensor node is designed to be held by user. The gathered user data is transmitted through dynamic multi-hop routing to server, and real-time user location & environment information are displayed on monitoring program.

Study on Wireless Control of a Board Robot Using a Sensing Glove (장갑 센서를 이용한 보드로봇의 무선제어 연구)

  • This study presents the remote control of a board robot using a Sensing glove based on Bluetooth communication. The board robot is a kind of riding robot controlled by an user. The user wears the proposed remote glove controller, and changes a direction of the robot by different kinds of finger actions. Bluetooth is used for wireless communication between the board robot and its user. CdS cell Sensors and a LED in the glove are used for recognition of a number of finger actions, which are measured as analog signals. The finger actions have five commands ('1'right '2'neutrality '3'left '4'operation '5'stop), which are transmitted from the user to the board robot through Bluetooth communication. Experimental results show that proposed a Sensing glove can effectively control the board robot.

The Development of Interactive Wireless-Game Device based on Multi-Channel Electromyography for Rehabilitation in Patients with Hemiplegia (편마비 환자의 재활을 위한 다채널 근전도 기반의 체감형 무선 게임 장치 개발)

  • An interactive wireless-game device based on multi-channel electromyogram has been developed to help rehabilitation of patients with hemiplegia. The device is able to provide a visual feedback and rehabilitation motivations to the patients. The game contents were made according to the number of applied channels and, their level and speed can also be controlled depending on the recovery states of patients. Patient satisfaction survey was conducted to evaluate the necessity and usefulness of the proposed device after playing the game. The results show that the proposed system is expected to give hemiplegia patients exciting and effective rehabilitation chances, if more diverse and specialized rehabilitation games are developed.
