  • The principles on which the Internet was designed and has evolved were first laid out in an explicit way 20 years age. The basic principle is that in layered communications network such as the Internet, functions should always be implemented at the end systems whenever the option exists. This applies to all functions that can be implemented either in the network or at the end systems. End-to-end arguments have recently been reexamined as the Internet and its uses have evolved, and a new set of requirements has begun to emerge. In addition to these, it add a new, and perhaps more important, requirement to this list in the case of heterogeneous networks: the proliferation of unpredictable wireless networks. Wireless networks must cope with dynamic link conditions not present in wired infrastructures, which place a heavy burden on quality of service management solutions. Managing QoS in the face of constantly changing operating conditions demands dynamic management approaches that span multiple layers in the protocol stack. Such as cross-layer design approaches have recently received attention in the context of cellular and mobile special networks. This article introduce the notion of network predictability and describe its relationship to achievable QoS. This relationship is used to propose a framework for cross layer design that can be used to guide development efforts and direct investment decisions for future networks.

  • Computer Communications and networks have been revolutionized by technological advances in the last decade. There has been an increasing interest in the network security because of the growing popularity of Internet and the importance of networking in business area. With this growing interest, Network engineers come to more concern about improving network survivability. In this paper, we suggest the method that improves the survivability of wired and wireless network. To achieve this goal, we propose the integrated IP management with monitoring network nodes in the same network and controlling its activities.

  • Wireless networks play a very important role in communications today. For example, wireless networks today provide from the basic services like e-mail and FTP to the multimedia applications like Web service. It is obvious that QoS requirements to these diverse applications over wireless networks will continue as in wired networks. Much research has been done to develop QoS supporting algorithms on Internet. But due to the limited bandwidth and varying channel states of the wireless networks, it is difficult to support differentiated service over wireless networks. In this paper we propose the modified wireless token ring protocol supporting QoS to the real-time traffic service node over Internet environments in which non-real-time and real-time traffic service nodes coexist. In the proposed algorithm, the real-time traffic service node gets the priority to take token over the non-real-time traffic service node. So the proposed algorithm support quick transmission of the real-time traffic service node. And this advantage can be obtained with minor modification of the legacy wireless token ing protocol to support QoS. We also consider the lost token recovery mechanism.

  • Wireless internet, which becomes a hot social issue, has limitations due to the following characteristics, as different from wired internet. It has low bandwidth, frequent disconnection, low computing power, and small screen in user terminal. Also, it has technical issues to Improve in terms of user mobility, network protocol, security, and etc. Wireless internet server should be scalable to handle a large scale traffic due to rapidly growing users. In this paper, wireless internet proxy server clusters are used for the wireless Internet because their caching, distillation, and clustering functions are helpful to overcome the above limitations and needs. TranSend was proposed as a clustering based wireless internet proxy server but it has disadvantages; 1) its scalability is difficult to achieve because there is no systematic way to do it and 2) its structure is complex because of the inefficient communication structure among modules. In our former research, we proposed the All-in-one structure which can be scalable in a systematic way but it also has disadvantages; 1) data sharing among cache servers is not allowed and 2) its communication structure among modules is complex. In this paper, we proposed its improved scheme which has an efficient communication structure among modules and allows data to be shared among cache servers. We performed experiments using 16 PCs and experimental results show 54.86$\%$ and 4.70$\%$ performance improvement of the proposed system compared to TranSend and All-in-one system respectively Due to data sharing amount cache servers, the proposed scheme has an advantage of keeping a fixed size of the total cache memory regardless of cache server numbers. On the contrary, in All-in-one, the total cache memory size increases proportional to the number of cache servers since each cache server should keep all cache data, respectively.

  • The modern society has become entry into the information age after the spread of Internet. In the information age, internet was developed from the wired access to the wireless Internet access. When a surge in demand for wireless Internet access, performance and speed of 2.4 and 5GHz band for Wi-Fi which leads to saturation of the communication was significantly fall. Accordingly, the communication of the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi 6E came to be interested. In this paper, we studied the design and fabrication of microstrip patch antenna to be used in wireless communication systems operating at around 6GHz band. To obtain antenna parameters such as patch size, inter patch space, antenna was simulated by HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator). From these parameters, slot microstrip patch antenna is fabricated using FR-4 of dielectric constant 4.4. The characteristics of fabricated patch type microstrip antenna were analyzed by network analyzer.

  • The modern society has become full-fledged entry into the information age since spread of Internet. In the information age, internet was developed from the wired access to the wireless Internet access. When a surge in demand for wireless Internet access, efficiency and performance of 2.4GHz band which leads to saturation of the communication was significantly fall. • Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) provide high-speed backbone networks without any wired cable. Many researchers have tried to increase network throughput by using multi-channel and multi-radio interfaces. A multi-radio multi-channel WMN requires channel assignment algorithm to decide the number of channels needed for each link. Since the channel assignment affects routing and interference directly, it is a critical component for enhancing network performance. However, the optimal channel assignment is known as a NP complete problem. For high performance, most of previous works assign channels in a centralized manner but they are limited in being applied for dynamic network environments. In this paper, we propose a simple flow estimation algorithm and a hybrid channel assignment algorithm. Our flow estimation algorithm obtains aggregated flow rate information between routers by packet sampling, thereby achieving high scalability. Our hybrid channel assignment algorithm initially assigns channels in a centralized manner first, and runs in a distributed manner to adjust channel assignment when notable traffic changes are detected. This approach provides high scalability and high performance compared with existing algorithms, and they are confirmed through extensive performance evaluations.
