With the advent of Ubiquitous environment, wired-wireless combination network is being studied very actively in which mobile nodes having multi-hop communication capability connect wired internet network easily, and shares the information. The study of wired and wireless combination network between MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc Network) and wired network is being focused only on the configuration of heterogeneous network interface. The proposed algorithm establishes independent multi-paths between source node and destination node to prevent data loss when errors happen in route. As the result, it shows that the reliability of the combination network can be improved by making data transmit continuously on the route error.
Whenever the accidents occur in the railway areas, their prompt recovery is very important. The individual way has been used to resolve these accidents by direct visiting the site and reporting to others who cares for these cases. As a result, we are planning to operate the MTS (Moving picture Transmission System) for a timely information's transmission to the related peoples in the central control center by transforming the picture information on the accident-site to the digital information. The proposed system is not a transmission system using exclusive lines, but utilizing the existing railway computer network. We construct a network server device so that a dispatcher can easily connect with the server through the railway intranet. In some railway environments such as disturbed field situations and geographical condition(in tunnels and bridges, etc) building up the wired network is difficult. Solving this problem, we reviewed the wireless network. Finally we proposed the mixed wireless network that is able to cover the wired network. We then installed and tested the wired network and wireless network respectively in wayside of a railway field. Through the testing, we identified many detailed matters for some network construction approaches to the control room and many field device-connecting schemes. This research will contribute to minimize the number of staff dispatched to a disturbed field, decrease the accident recovery time and improve the quality of service to the passenger.

We proposed models that can implement RFID/USN in terms of teaching-learning part, facility management part, teacher and student management part in primary and secondary school in this study. To support these models in school network, we also proposed a new wired network model and a new wireless network model. A new wired network model is derived from existing wired school network that can apply to all sorts of models presented above. And also a new wireless network model is derived from existing wireless LAN that can solve space restriction problem. We calculated communication bandwidth according to school size and network capacity.
With increasing number of citizen using subway stations everyday, safety, health and comfort of passengers and occupants became an important social issue. Considering the fact that various physical variables and pollutants are related to indoor air quality (IAQ) which may cause health problem, IAQ need to be closely monitored and controlled in multiple locations in subway stations. This study is a continuation of the previous studies and delay induced in wireless-wired network is experimentally evaluated and the risk involved is assessed. In doing that, a key parameter is identified to be the network delay in different network media. Application of information-theoretic measure to assess the risk in network delay is then discussed. The idea is based on the general principles of engineering design and their applications to quantification of uncertainty in network delay. Experimental results show that more risk is involved in wireless data communication. Efficient and fast conversion of transmission data in both LonWorks/IP server and ZL converter is also noted.
Currently, the commercialization of the $5^{th}$ Generation (5G) service is becoming more prevalent in domestic communication network technology. This has reduced communication delay time and enabled large-capacity data transmission and video streaming services in real-time. In order to keep pace with these developments, K-water has introduced a smart process control system in water purification plants to monitor the status of the water purification process. However, since wireless networks are based on the public Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, communication delay time remains high, and high-resolution video services are limited. This is because communication networks still have a closed structure due to expense and security issues. Therefore, with 5G in its current form, it is very difficult to accommodate future services without improving the infrastructure of its communication networks. In recognition of these problems, this study implemented the authentication and management function of wireless networks on a wired network management system in the K-water Bansong water purification plant. The results confirmed that wired Local Area Network (LAN) services give a higher security performance than an expensive commercial wireless LAN system. This was achieved by using an Internet Protocol (IP) address management system of wired networks and the packet filtering function of the Layer2 (L2) switch. This study also confirmed that it is possible to create a wireless LAN service that is 3.7 times faster than the existing LTE communication network.
In this paper, using a new low-power consumption method for ZigBee device, which consume low-power using an output power control algorithm through RSSI monitoring as interlocking wireless network using ZigBee which has advantages of a low-power consumption, a low-cost, a compatibility and a draft international standardization enacted by IEEE and ZigBee Alliance, with wired network using built coaxial cable to overcome the disadvantage of the existing wireless sensor network, is proposed. Effectiveness of the output power control algorithm through RSSI monitoring has been verified by experimentation for more optimized low-power consumption.

In this paper, we propose an alternative method of communication to improve the reliability of in-vehicle networks by jointly using wireless communication networks. Wired Communication networks have been used in vehicles for the monitoring and the control of vehicle motion, however, the disconnection of wires or hardware fault of networks may cause a critical problem in vehicles. If the network manager detects a disconnection or faults in wired in-vehicle network like the Controller Area Network(CAN), it can redirect the communication path from the wired to the wireless communication like the Zigbee network. To show the validity and the effectiveness of the proposed in-vehicle network architecture, we implement the Electronic Stability Control(ESC) system as ECU-In-the-Loop Simulation(EILS) and verify that the control performance can be kept well even if some hardware faults like disconnection of wires occur.

This paper compares the performance of wireless communication technologies to replace the wired networks by wireless networks on avionics intra-communication. Due to the drawbacks of wired network, such as complexity, weight, maintenance cost and scalability, it leads to the high data rate and network traffic demands of avionics systems. Therefore, in WAIC(Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications) system suggested by ITU(International Telecommunication Union), based on environment of avionics system and requirements of a wired network, wireless network structures are defined to solve the problems of wired networks. In this paper, we consider features, advantages and disadvantages of wireless communication technologies which can be used for wireless avionics network, and we propose suitable wireless communication technology candidates for wireless avionics networks in WAIC environments.
A group key exchange protocol is a cryptographic primitive that describes how a group of parties communicating over a public network can come up with a common secret key. Due to its significance both in network security and cryptography, the design of secure and efficient group key exchange protocols has attracted many researchers' attention over the years. However, despite all the efforts undertaken, there seems to have been no previous systematic look at the growing problem of key exchange over combined wired and wireless networks which consist of both stationary computers with sufficient computational capabilities and mobile devices with relatively restricted computing resources. In this paper, we present the first group key exchange protocol that is specifically designed to be well suited for this rapidly expanding network environment. Our construction meets simplicity, efficiency, and strong notions of security.
Recently, network component become to follow wireless and mobile network from wired network proposed that many TCP algorithm optimized in variety environment. When TCP was created, however as it was design based on wired link, wireless link made more transmission error than wired link. Transmission errors are more frequent and may be incorrectly regarded as indications of network congestion. In this paper, it conduct how effect congestion control algorithm in Mobile ad-hoc network and compare traffic of TCP-Tahoe, TCP-Reno, TCP-New-Reno and TCP-Vegas in Mobile ad-hoc environment.
