  • The modeling methods of routing region used in the automatic placement/routing system are a grid and non-grid. Because the gird method is curbed by its size and a board if the electrical and physical elements on PCB are of small quantity, it has many memories. Therefore, it has demerit which decreases the speed of automatic placement/routing. The Shape-based type, non-grid method, makes the shapes exist as an in dividual element in a memory by using a region-processing method. Each individual element needs very small memory since it has its unique data size. Therefore, this paper aimed to develope the automatic placement/routing system which can automatically place and route the PCB without dissipation of memory at a high speed. To this aim, the auction algorithm method was applied which can make the memories be most rapidly reached from the original point to various destinations. Also, this system was developed by the Visual C++ in the Widows environment of IBM Pentium computer in order to use it in an individual PC system.

  • Introduction: This study examined the anatomical morphology of the medial surface of the posterior mandible using 3-dimensional cone-beam computed tomography (CT) images to reduce the number of complications related to dental implant placement. Materials and Methods: Fifty patients were enrolled in this study with an average age (${\pm}$standard deviation) of 44.28 (${\pm}13.05$). On the coronal views cone-beam CT of the first molars, the distance between the top of the canal and alveolar crest vertical distance (VD), the distance between the upper-most point of the canal and the point perpendicular to the lingual cortical margin of the mandible lingual distance (LD), the location of the starting point of VD for reducing from the vertical reference line (VD point), and the inclination of the mandibular medial surface (lingual inclination) were measured, and a statistical evaluation was performed using SPSS for Windows version 15.0. Results: The mean VD0 was $16.91{\pm}2.47\;mm$ and VDx decreased with increasing x value. The mean LD was $5.27{\pm}1.36\;mm$. The VD began to decrease at the mean location of $6.12{\pm}0.96\;mm$ from the vertical reference line. The mean lingual inclination was $1.52{\pm}0.72^{\circ}$. Conclusion: These results will assist in the accurate placement of dental implants and the reduction of complications, particularly in the case of preoperative implant planning using only 2-dimensional imaging methods. • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the fractal dimension of successive panoramic radiographs of bone after implant placement is useful in the characterization of structural change in alveolar bone. Materials and Methods. Twelve subjects with thirty-five implants were retrospectively followed-up from one week to six months after implantation. Thirty-six panoramic radiographs from twelve patients were classified into 1 week, 1-2 months and 3-6 months after implantation and digitized. The windows of bone apical and mesial or distal to the implant were defined as periapical region of interest (ROI) and interdental ROI; the fractal dimension of the image was calculated. Results There was not a statistically significant difference in fractal dimensions during the period up to 6 months after implantation. The fractal dimensions were higher in 13 and 15mm than 10 and 11.5mm implant length at interdental ROIs in 3-6 months after implantation (P<0.01). Conclusion : Longer fixtures showed the higher fractal dimension of bone around implant. This investigation needs further exploration with large numbers of implants for longer follow-up periods.

  • A new algorithm using a measure for edge detection from ultrasonic image is proposed. Ultrasonic image is blurred by pre-processing for removing speckle noises and precise edge placement is not clear. Because extracted edge from blurred image is thick, a measure utilizing the absolute difference of mean between two windows is used to thin the thickness of extracted edge in blurred image. The algorithm is effective to process blurred image due to the noise filtering that remove speckle noises. Results of the proposed algorithm using a measure show good edge detection performance comparing with other gradient edge operators.

  • As a lexical meaning, casino is defined as "a certified gambling house, equipped with recreational facilities such as dance and music, etc., where people play roulette or cards." Casinos started from 17th to 18th century for European nobility and their social meetings and established a casino industry framework in the United States in the 1930s. The success of the casino business leads to the increase of sales; it became very helpful for the local and national government revenues and also for the related incidental tasks. Casino operations include a variety of fields, such as general customer management, dealer game management, security, account management, currency exchange, re-exchange management, marketing management, comp management and placement management, etc. These operations should be organically connected to each other by information systems such as a groupware, ERP and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), etc. In addition, in order to effectively manage comprehensive entertainment service, including accommodation and tourism, it is necessary to develop an information system which supports casino business and collateral entertainment service, collects the data generated throughout the business and provides information about the situations of management. Thus, this study will propose a casino information system designed and implemented, considering these details.

  • This study aimed to suggest a 1300 scale of a middle school foodservice facility floor plan which was compliant to the principle of HACCP, as well as ensuring food and work safety, and the flow of personnel and food materials. which consisted of 46 nutrition teachers and 6 experts, responded with a questionnaire on the relationship of functional area and space. Using their opinions, key principles for the design of the facility were single direction movement of food materials, customers and workers; minimization of the cross-contamination through the separation of functional space; and securement of customer-focused efficiency; staff-centered convenience and efficiency; and work and food safety. After the completion of an adjacency diagram, bubble diagram and program statement, the functional areas of a 1300 scale middle school food-service facility were allocated as follows: $9.9\;m^2$ for the receiving area, $56.1\;m^2$ for the pre-preparation area, $10.5\;m^2$ for the food storage area, $6.0\;m^2$ for the supplies storage area, $97.8\;m^2$ for the cooking area, $33.6\;m^2$ for the service area, $52.5\;m^2$ for dish washing area, cafeteria $410.5\;m^2$, $4.5\;m^2$ for the front room, for a total of $725.8\;m^2$. Expert groups have pointed to limitations within this model as there are no windows in the office for the influx of fresh outside air and a need for the straight line installation of steam-jacket and frying kettles on the sides of windows. This study can be useful as the guidelines for estimating the investment cost of the facility and placing the placement of functional areas and equipment in the renovation of the facility. It can be also useful data for a methodology of foodservice facility design.
