If $m$ and $n$ are non-negative integers, then three new classes of abelian $p$-groups are defined and studied: the $m$, $n$-simply presented groups, the $m$, $n$-balanced projective groups and the $m$, $n$-totally projective groups. These notions combine and generalize both the theories of simply presented groups and $p^{w+n}$-projective groups. If $m$, $n=0$, these all agree with the class of totally projective groups, but when $m+n{\geq}1$, they also include the $p^{w+m+n}$-projective groups. These classes are related to the (strongly) n-simply presented and (strongly) $n$-balanced projective groups considered in [15] and the n-summable groups considered in [2]. The groups in these classes whose lengths are less than ${\omega}^2$ are characterized, and if in addition we have $n=0$, they are determined by isometries of their $p^m$-socles.

Ripe rot caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea is one of the serious diseases of postharvest kiwifruit. In order to control ripe rot on Actinidia chinensis cultivar 'Zesy002', several commercial agrofungicides were selected by an antifungal test on an artificial medium. Furthermore, disease suppression by the selected fungicides was evaluated on the kiwifruit by inoculation with a conidial suspension of B. dothidea. On the artificial media containing boscalid + fludioxonil was shown to be the most effective antifungal activity. However, in the bio-test pyraclostrobin + boscalid and iminoctadinetris were the most effective agrochemicals on the fruit. On the other hand, the infection structures of B. dothidea on kiwifruit treated with pyraclostrobin + boscalid were observed with a fluorescent microscope. Most of the fungal conidia had not germinated on the kiwifruit treated with the agrochemicals whereas on the untreated fruit the fungal conidia had mostly germinated. Electron microscopy of the fine structures showed morphological changes to the conidia and branch of hyphae on the kiwifruit pre-treated with pyraclostrobin + boscalid, indicating its suppression effect on fungal growth. Based on this observation, it is suggested that ripe rot by B. dothidea may be suppressed through the inhibition of conidial germination on the kiwifruit treated with the agrochemicals.

Compared with Cathy Song and Myung-Mi Kim, Suji Kwock Kim is yet to be known in Korea, even though she won prestigious American literary awards like the Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets and the Addison Metcalf Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters for her debut book of poems, Notes from the Divided Country. Although she was born and raised in the United States and had little knowledge of Korean at first, she came to recognize her identity and be familiar by and by with Korean history. The knowledge of the facts that Korea had been ravaged by foreign forces and suffered from the Japanese colonization and the Korean War aches her soul, and this soul-aching is aggravated by her ancestors' direct experiences of those Korean historical tragedies. But this book of poems does not contain poems regarding Korean history alone. The first part shows her guilty consciouseness for her brother and sister, who are suggested to be physically abnormal or mentally retarded. The third and fourth parts are filled with poems of very diverse subject matters, tones, and themes. Of those poems, "Monologue for an Onion" is probably most worthy of special attention. It is not only a searing indictment for human folly but also a very intriguing poetic rendering of Nietzschean ultimate lessson. Her achievement in the first book of poems makes us eagerly wait for the second one, which is, reportedly, forthcoming sooner or later.

현재까지 구조물의 안정을 결정하는 유일한 방법은 안전률개념이 이용되고 있으나, 최근 이 안전 율에 대한 문제점이 제기되어 구조물의 신뢰도에 대한 기준으로 파괴확률을 적용시키고자 하는 연구 가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 한편 토류구조물은 벽체의 변위형태에 따라 토고분포가 달라짐 에도 불구하고실제문제에선통상 벽 체변위를 고려하지 않는 Coulomb이론이나 Rankine 이론을 이용하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서 는 뒤 채움이 모래로 수평인 연직벽체가 벽체저면을 중심으로 회전하는 주동(AB)과 정 점을 중심으로 회전하는 주동(AT) 2가지 경우를 대상으로 전도에 대한 파양를 다룬다. 동일한 설계조건에 대해서 종래의 Coulomb이론과 Dubrova토력재분포리론. Chang의 방법으로 구한 정적 주동토력과 Seed and Whitmann의 지진하중을 중첩시킨 지진 주동토력을 ,각각 고려하여 최근에 발전된 AFOSM (Advanced First Order Second Moment)해법으로 신협도를 해석하여 비교 검토한다.

My essay aims at reading Ginsberg's "Howl" and "Kaddish" with the concept of 'shaman-prophet-poet' to illustrate the dynamic relationship between his poetics and radical politics. Throughout his widely-ranging career, Ginsberg represents himself as a poet-prophet and commands a typical rhetoric of revelation as a way of decentering Cold War orthodoxies. While well aware of the oppressive and pervasive power of the dominant post-war ideologies, he adopts 'madness' to oppose conventional political, social, and religious institutions; by way of entering into the madness of this world and actively engaging himself as a victim, he can finally heal both himself and the world. This dual function of poet characterizes his rhetoric of revelation, but it doesn't appeal to the mainstream of American critical ideology where the post-structural approach to language and subject gives a skeptical look at any account of active human agency and humanistic belief in the possibility of language. In "Howl" and "Kaddish," Ginsburg persuades the reader of the truth of his own vision through the convincing and realistic portraits of his contemporaries as well as his own mother and family. Different from his visionary predecessors such as Emerson and Whitman, Ginsberg knew the difficulty of a negotiation between history and divine vision, and attempted to imbricate his family, friends, and even the larger social and political units within his visionary experience in order to avoid naive idealism, escapism, or solipsism. Furthermore, he deconstructs the Logos of Western prophecy and replaces it with the groundless identity and the nontheistic epistemology of Buddhism, which, in turn, leads to emptying his powerful language of absolutist meaning and prevents his prophecy from becoming re-reified as divine essentialism. Ginsberg's idea of poet and poem revitalizes the skeptical view on language and literary representation of our contemporary critical community which is unwilling to engage the experimental scope of his radical prophecy.

Objective : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of immune reaction inductive substances such as PMA, LPS, DPE, DNCB and WP, the whitman pigra extracting substance at simultaneously on the translocation of $NF{\kappa}B$ towards to the nucleus and the mRNA expression patterns of various cytokine genes in THP-1 cells, monocytes of human. Methods : To analyze the cytokine genes expressions, the RT-PCR method was used, and measuring TNF-${\alpha}$ that had been secreted during cell culture by the ELISA method. The morphological changes were observed during THP-1 cell by a scanning electron microscope and the quantitative distribution of $NF{\kappa}B$ in the cell that was analyzed through immunocytochemistry and a confocal microscopy. Results : WP showed different influences onto the mRNA expression patterns of cytokine genes with PMA, LPS. DPE and DNCB according to the types of immune inductive substances in the THP-1 cells. Upon treating PMA and DPE on the THP-1 cells at the same time or either additionally treating WP thereon, the movement of $NF{\kappa}B$ increase towards the nucleus from cell cytoplasm was able to be observed. The expressions of IL-$1{\alpha}$ and IFN-${\gamma}$ induced by PMA and PMA+DNCB were suppressed by WP while the expression of TGF-${\beta}$ was promoted. Regarding the secretion pattern of TNF-${\alpha}$ according to the treatment of PMA, its secretion amount was incredibly increased by concurrent treatment of WP, however, in case of co-treatment of WP with PMA and DNCB, it was found that the secretion amount of TNF-${\alpha}$ decreased. Conclusions : In this study, the WP extracting substance was confirmed that it had an influence on expression patterns of cytokine genes according to the actions of a variety kinds of immune reaction inductive substances treated on the THP-1 cells. Especially, WP co-treatment with PMA and DNCB was suppressed the expression of inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-$1{\alpha}$, IFN-${\gamma}$ and TNF-${\alpha}$.

자연수를 가압(4~5기압)하면서 물과 공기의 비를 4:1~3:1로 혼합하면 수체 내 초미세기포(Diameter $3{\sim}10{\mu}m$)가 발생하는데 이를 산소용해수라 하며 수질정화시설 또는 양식장 등에 널리 사용되고 있다. 산소용해수의 특징은 기포의 비표면적이 넓고 10시간 이상 포화 농도를 유지하여 수체에 잔류하는 시간이 길기 때문에, 일반 산기석을 활용한 포기나 순산소 용해 등의 타 방법과 구별된다. 산소용해수의 산소전달효율은 기존 방법과 큰 차이를 보이기 때문에 실제 적용시에는 대상수를 이용하여 산소전달계수($K_{L}a$)를 사전에 산정할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국건설기술 연구원의 안동 수자원 환경실험센터 내 실외형 콘크리트 사각반응수조에 산소용해장치 및 확산장치를 결합한 일체형 시스템을 적용시켜 2010년 9월~2011년 1월의 5개월간 결과를 분석, 본 장치의 $K_{L}a$를 산정 후 수질정화의 활용 면에서 검토하였다. $K_{L}a$의 산정에는 다양한 방법이 이용되나 용존 산소 농도의 제어에 한계가 있는 실외 대형실험장에 적합한 Lewis and Whitman의 Two-film 이론에 근거한 정상포기법을 적용하였다. 체적 $80m^3$의 수조 내에서 현장 유지용수를 대상으로 실험한 결과 산소전달계수는 $0.324\pm0.050$/min, 포화농도는 8.64 mg $O_2$/L, 도달시간은 11 /min이 산정되었으며, 이는 기존 산기석 포기의 산소전달계수 범위인 $0.105\pm0.019$ /min보다 약 3.1배 높은 결과를 보였다. 또한, 확산장치의 수류 순환 방향 및 정도를 검토하기 위하여 실험수조에서 1m단위로 격자를 구성한 후 초음파 유속계로 실측한 결과 0.0~2.5 m/s 의 평면적 유속범위를 도출하였다. 그리고 전체 순환을 고려했을 때 용존산소는 약 8시간 후 8.64 mg $O_2$/L 값에 도달하여 안정화 되었으며, 강한 수류순환과 산소용해수에 의해 하상에 존재하는 퇴적물들의 이송 및 산화촉진을 유도하였다. 이를 근거로 실험수조의 체적과 기준 가동시간인 8시간을 적용시켰을 때, 실험구 수질은 대조구와 비교하여 COD, T-N, T-P가 모두 25~35% 개선되었다. 이 결과는 여과공정 없이 단순 순환만을 고려한 물리적 수질정화 방법의 단독 활용 가능성을 나타내며, 기존 연구에서 나타난 SOD (Sediment oxygen demand) 저감 능력을 감안할 때 향후 폐쇄성 수역의 수질관리에도 효율적으로 활용할 수 있음을 시사한다.

Backgrounds : In recent years, asthma has become recognized as a chronic inflammatory disease associated pathologically with airway epithelial inflammation and airway remodeling. Objectives : To evaluate the different effects of Hirudo depending upon pharmaceutical manufactures on the expression and the activities of IL-6 and GM-CSF in airway epithelial cells, samples of Hirudo(水蛭), Hirudo toasted with Talcum(水蛭滑石炒) and Hirudo toasted with Ephedrae Herba(水蛭麻黃炒) were tested. Methods : After inducing enhanced messenger RNA(mRNA) expression and secretion of each cytokine by tumor necrosis factor-alpha(10 ng/ml) treatment, cultured human bronchial epithelial cell line BEAS-2B was added to each sample$(l,\;10,\;100\;&\;1000\;{\mu}g/ml)$. Subsequently, DNA activities were analyzed. Specifically mRNA expression and culture supernatants(protein levels) of IL-6 and GM-CSF from BEAS-2B cells, were analyzed using luciferase reporter gene assay, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) analysis and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results : Hirudo toasted with Ephedrae Herba(水蛭麻黃炒) and Hirudo(水蛭) inhibited IL-6 activities in BEAS-2B cells remarkably, and inhibited mRNA expression levels and protein levels in supernatant of IL-6 and GM-CSF at various concentrations, significantly(p<0.05). However, Hirudo toasted with Talcum(水蛭滑石炒) had no effect on mRNA expression levels and showed a slight inhibitory effect on GM-CSF protein levels in supernatant of culture medium. Conclusions : These results strongly suggest that Hirudo toasted with Ephedrae Herba(水蛭麻黃炒) and Hirudo(水蛭) would be serve as effective medicaments in the treatment of airway inflammation and remodeling of asthmatic patients.

'예술과 기술의 실험' 그룹은 20세기 중반, 예술적 세계와 그 바깥의 영역까지 아우르며 거대한 상호 학제적인 실험을 전개하였다. 이러한 활동의 실제적인 동력은 서로 다른 오래된 학문적 관습의 경계를 가로지르며 창의적 가능성을 확장해온 예술가와 공학자의 협업이었다. 공학자 빌리 클뤼버와 프레드 발트하우어, 그리고 예술가 로버트 라우센버그와 로버트 휘트먼이 1967년에 공동 설립한 '예술과 기술의 실험' 그룹은 물질, 기술, 공학이 동시대 미술에 적용 가능한 여러 가능성을 선구적으로 수행하였다. 이들의 활동은 사회에서의 예술과 기술의 기능을 새롭게 성찰함으로써 궁극적으로 동시대 세계와의 유기적 관계성을 지니는 새로운 미학을 개발시키는 방법론을 개발해 나갔다는 점에서 그 학문적 연구의 의의를 가질 수 있다. 이에 본고에서는 우선, '예술과 기술의 실험' 그룹이 등장하게 된 사회문화적 맥락을 예술과 기술의 운동의 차원에서 살핀 후, 그룹의 다양한 프로젝트들을 검토함으로써 예술가와 공학자의 협업이 예술적 표현의 확장뿐만 아니라 예술과 공학과 사회 사이의 새로운 상호적 관계성을 생산하는 데 공헌하였음을 확인한다. 이러한 논의를 통해 동시대의 융합 담론에서 필요로 하는 구체적인 협업의 방법론의 한 모델로서 참조하고자 한다.
