석유화학단지 주변 주거지역 다환방향족탄화수소(PAHs)의 농도와 Monte-Carlo 모의실험을 통한 위해성평가 (Seasonal Concentration of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Residential Areas Around Petrochemical Complexes and Risk Assessment Using Monte-Carlo Simulation)

  • Background: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are generated in petrochemical complexes, can spread to residential areas and affect the health of residents. Although harmful PAHs are mainly present in particle phase, gas phase PAHs can generate stronger toxic substances through photochemical reaction. Therefore, the risk assessment for PAHs around the petrochemical complex should consider both particle and gas phase concentrations. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the concentration characteristics of particle and gas phase PAHs by season in residential areas around petrochemical complexes, and to assess the risk of PAHs. Methods: Samples were collected for 7 days by seasons in 2014~2015 using a high volume air sampler. Particle and gas phase PAHs were sampled using quartz filter and polyurethane foam, respectively, analyzed by GC-MS. Chronic toxicity and probabilistic risk assessment were performed on 14 PAHs. For chronic toxicity risk assessment, inhalation unit risk was used. Monte-Carlo simulation was performed for probabilistic risk assessment using the mean and standard deviation of measured PAHs. Results: The concentration of particle total PAHs was highest in autumn. The gas phase concentration was highest in autumn. The average gas phase distribution ratio of low molecular weight PAHs composed of 2~3 benzene rings was 85%. The average of the medium molecular weight composed of 4 benzene rings was 53%, and the average of the high molecular weight composed of 5 or more benzene rings was 9%. In the chronic toxicity risk assessment, 7 of the 14 PAHs exceeded the excess carcinogenic risk of 1.00×10-6. In the Monte-Carlo simulation, Benzo[a]pyrene had the highest probability of exceeding 1.00×10-6, which was 100%. Conclusions: The concentration of PAHs in the residential area around the petrochemical complex exceeded the standard, and the excess carcinogenic risk was evaluated to be high. Therefore, it is necessary to manage the air environment around the petrochemical complex.

  • 본 논문에서 설계한 HWbF(Hit and WLC based Firewall)은 PFS(Packet Filter Station)과 APS(Application Proxy Station)으로 구성된다. PFS는 로드 밸런싱을 이용한 PLB(Packet Load Balancing) 모듈을 이용해 패킷들을 분산시켜 패킷 전송 지연을 방지하고 병목현상을 줄이도록 설계하였고 APS는 로드 밸런싱을 이용한 PCSLB(Proxy Cash Server Load Balancing)모듈을 이용해 효율적인 프록시 캐쉬 서버를 관리하고, 패킷 트래픽량을 이용해 DoS 공격을 탐지하도록 설계하였다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 설계한 HWbF는 기존이 방화벽의 단점이었던 패킷 전송 지연을 방지하고 병목현상을 줄여 패킷 처리속도를 향상시킨다. 또한, 패킷 트래픽 임계값을 패킷 트래픽 량에 따라 자동 조절함으로써 기존의 평균값과 고정 임계치에 대한 각각의 DoS 공격 오탐지율(TCP)이 50%와 25%에서 제안한 수식에 의해 각각 38%와 17%으로 감소시켜, DoS 공격 트패픽의 탐지능력을 향상시킬 뿐만 아니라 프록시 캐쉬 서버의 부하도 줄인다.

혼잡 환경에서 강인한 딥러닝 기반 인간 추적 프레임워크 (A Robust Deep Learning based Human Tracking Framework in Crowded Environments)

  • This paper presents a robust deep learning-based human tracking framework in crowded environments. For practical human tracking applications, a target must be robustly tracked even in undetected or overcrowded situations. The proposed framework consists of two parts: robust deep learning-based human detection and tracking while recognizing the aforementioned situations. In the former part, target candidates are detected using Detectron2, which is one of the powerful deep learning tools, and their weights are computed and assigned. Subsequently, a candidate with the highest weight is extracted and is utilized to track the target human using a Kalman filter. If the bounding boxes of the extracted candidate and another candidate are overlapped, it is regarded as a crowded situation. In this situation, the center information of the extracted candidate is compensated using the state estimated prior to the crowded situation. When candidates are not detected from Detectron2, it means that the target is completely occluded and the next state of the target is estimated using the Kalman prediction step only. In two experiments, people wearing the same color clothes and having a similar height roam around the given place by overlapping one another. The average error of the proposed framework was measured and compared with one of the conventional approaches. In the error result, the proposed framework showed its robustness in the crowded environments.

GPS receiver and orbit determination system on-board VSOP satellite

  • In 1995 the VSOP satellite, which is called MUSES-B in Japan, will be launched under the VLBI Space Observatory Programme(VSOP) promoted by ISAS(Institute of Space and Astronautical Science) of Japan. We are now developing the GPS Receiver(GPSR) and On-board Orbit Determination System. This paper describes the GPS(Global Positioning System), VSOP, GPSR(GPS Receiver system) configuration and the results of the GPS system analysis. The GPSR consists of three GPS antennas and 5 channel receiver package. In the receiver package, there are two 16 bits microprocessing units. The power consumption is 25 Watts in average and the weight is 8.5 kg. Three GPS antennas on board enable GPSR to receive GPS signals from any NAVSTARs(GPS satellites) which are visible. NAVSATR's visibility is described as follows. The VSOP satellite flies from 1, 000 km to 20, 000 km in height on the elliptical orbit around the earth. On the other hand, the orbit of NAVSTARs are nearly circular and about 20, 000 km in height. GPSR can't receive the GPS signals near the apogee, because NAVSTARs transmit the GPS signals through the NAVSTAR's narrow beam antennas directed toward the earth. However near the perigee, GPSR can receive from 12 to 15 GPS signals. More than 4 GPS signals can be received for 40 minutes, which are related to GDOP(Geometric Dillusion Of Precision of selected NAVSTARs). Because there are a lot of visible NAVSTARs, GDOP is small near the perigee. This is a favorqble condition for GPSR. Orbit determination system onboard VSOP satellite consists of a Kalman filter and a precise orbit propagator. Near the perigee, the Kalman filter can eliminate the orbit propagation error using the observed data by GPSR. Except a perigee, precise onboard orbit propagator propagates the orbit, taking into account accelerations such as gravities of the earth, the sun, the moon, and other acceleration caused by the solar pressure. But there remain some amount of calculation and integration errors. When VSOP satellite returns to the perigee, the Kalman filter eliminates the error of the orbit determined by the propagator. After the error is eliminated, VSOP satellite flies out towards an apogee again. The analysis of the orbit determination is performed by the covariance analysis method. Number of the states of the onboard filter is 8. As for a true model, we assume that it is based on the actual error dynamics that include the Selective Availability of GPS called 'SA', having 17 states. Analytical results for position and velocity are tabulated and illustrated, in the sequel. These show that the position and the velocity error are about 40 m and 0.008 m/sec at the perigee, and are about 110 m and 0.012 m/sec at the apogee, respectively.

고해도와 충진제가 궐련지의 물리성에 미치는 영향 (EFFECTS OF FREENESS AND FILTER ON THE PHISICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CIGARETTE PAPER)

  • Extensive studies have been made of the effects of freeness and the calcium carbonate on the physical properties of hand-sheets from commercial flax, kenaf and NBKP. As freeness increased, the hand-sheets from the pulps above showed higher retention rate of calcium carbonate, brightness, opacity and tensile strength but lower value of porosity. Among these, the retention rate(46%) showed the highest value In kenaf, the porosity(205 c.u.) in flax, and the opacity(67%) and the tensile strength(2.8kg) in NBKP respectively. Under the constant freeness, retention rate of calcium carbonate in hand-sheets increased until 1.4 times pulp weight was added in flax and kenaf but, in NBKP, decreased from the beginning of 0.8 times with the highest retention rate. Results above led to higher porosity, opacity, brightness but lowered tensile strength. Mixed pulp(Kenaf+ NBKP) showed higher retention rate than each pulp. Pictures of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope demonstrated that both of domestic and foreign calcium carbonates were calcite of spindle form. The brightness of foreign calcium carbonate was higher by 295 than that of domestic one. The average particle size of calcium carbonate was 2.1 U m(domestic), 3.6 U m(foreign).

무인 항공기 촬영 동영상을 위한 실시간 안정화 기법 (Real-time Stabilization Method for Video acquired by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • Video from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is influenced by natural environments due to the light-weight UAV, specifically by winds. Thus UAV's shaking movements make the video shaking. Objective of this paper is making a stabilized video by removing shakiness of video acquired by UAV. Stabilizer estimates camera's motion from calculation of optical flow between two successive frames. Estimated camera's movements have intended movements as well as unintended movements of shaking. Unintended movements are eliminated by smoothing process. Experimental results showed that our proposed method performs almost as good as the other off-line based stabilizer. However estimation of camera's movements, i.e., calculation of optical flow, becomes a bottleneck to the real-time stabilization. To solve this problem, we make parallel stabilizer making average 30 frames per second of stabilized video. Our proposed method can be used for the video acquired by UAV and also for the shaking video from non-professional users. The proposed method can also be used in any other fields which require object tracking, or accurate image analysis/representation.

볼 클레이 첨가에 따른 세라믹 다공체의 물리적 특성변화 (Effect of Additive Ball Clay on Physical Properties of Porous Ceramic)

  • 세노스피어(Cenosphere)와 볼 클레이(Ball Clay)를 이용하여 소성온도 $1,250^{\circ}C$, 소성시간 30분의 조건하에서 미세 기공을 가지며 비중이 작은 세라믹 다공체를 제조하였다. 제조된 세라믹 다공체의 평균 기공크기는 $2.5{\times}10^{-5}$ m 전후였으며, 기공이 잘 발달되었다. 세라믹 다공체의 기공율은 세노스피어 100중량비 대비 볼 클레이를 5중량비로 투입했을 때 기공율이 67.1%였다. 그러나 볼 클레이의 중량비가 20, 40, 100 증가함에 따라 기공율은 각각 58.4, 56.7, 47%로 감소하였다. 세노스피어 100중량비 대비 볼 클레이 투입량이 100중량비일 때, 세라믹 다공체의 겉보기 밀도는 $1.04g/cm^3$로 볼 클레이 5중량 값인 $0.51g/cm^3$ 대비 약 2배 증가하였으며, 반면에 흡수율은 100% 이상이 감소하였다. 세노스피어 100중량비 대비 볼 클레이 투입량이 100중량비일 때, 세라믹 다공체의 압축강도가 30 (MPa)였으며, 볼 클레이 5중량비 대비 약 76% 이상으로 향상되었다.

실내수조를 이용한 무지개송어의 사육실험 (HEARING OF RAINBOW TROUT TO COMMERCIAL SIZE IN A INDOOR AQUARIUM)

  • 1977년 11월 11일 부터 1978년 6월 12일까지 부산수산대학 연구실의 실험수조내에서 사육실험한 무지 개송어의 성장결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 사육수조는 $1m\times1m\times0.67m(D)$ 스테인레스 수조에 수심 40m(수양 $400\iota$로 유지하고, 수조의 바닥가운데는 직경 20cm, 깊이 20cm의 역원추형의 침전배수부가 있어서, 연속주수되는 량만큼의 물이 수조내의 오물과 함께 수조밖의 스탠드파이프를 통하여 밖으로 배수되었다. 주수는 1분당 $3\iota$, 매일 약 16기간 계속하였다(24시간기준 1분당 $2\iota$). 수조내에 설치된 간역여과제치는는 크기 $23cm\times23cm\times40cm(D)$의 플라스틱통에 깊이 약 30cm 되도록 자갈을 넣었고, 여과순환수량은 1시간당 평균 $1,030\iota$였다. 따라서, 회전율은 1시간당 약 2.6회 된다. 2. 제1기인 처음 77 시간에 평균 88.3g부터 229g 으로 자랐고, 총 중량은 30.7g으로 되었다. 이 때의 사료계수는 1.249, 일간평균성장율은 $1.245\%$, 일간평균성장율은 243.4g였다. 그 동안의 폐사는 작은 것 2미, 53g였다. 제2기인 135 일간에는 평균229g으로부터 555g으로 자랐고, 생존한 것은 103미 57.2kg 였다. 그동안 사고, 병사, 기타 이유로 덜어낸 것이 31미, 11,255g 였다. 이 기간중의 사료계수는 1.447, 일간평균 성장률 $0.658\%$, 일간성장량은 평균 279.8g 였다. 전기간을 통한 212일간의 결과를 종합하면 성장률 6.28배, 일간평균 성장율 $0.871\%$, 일간평균성장량은 266.5g, 사료게수 1.381을 나타난다. 3. 먹이는 국내에서 자급할 수 있는 어체, 번데기를 주원료로하여 연구실에서 제조하여 사용하고 그 결과는 외국의 고단백질상품사료에 의한 사육결과에 못지 않는 성장률과 사료효율을 나타냈다. 4. 이번 결과를 그대로 적용하여 5,000kg의 생산시설을 만들면, 소요되는 지하수량은 1시간 약 $10.8m^3$, 212일간 사육한다고 보면 약 530만원의 경비로 970만원의 이익이 나오는 계산이 되므로, 어느 정도의 지하수가 확보된다면 기업적으로도 충분히 성립된다고 생각된다.

  • Performance of a laboratory scale closed seawater recirculating aquaculture system was evaluated. Twenty-kg Korean rockfish (130 fish) with an average body weight of 153.8 g was stocked. Over 107-day culture period, fish reached final density of 51.7 kg/m$^3$ (initial density, 33.3 kg/m$^3$) on the culture tank volume basis. On a daily basis, water addition was 3.4% of the total water volume in the system. Total ammonia nitrogen (TAN)concentrations were below 1 mg/L and nitrite nitrogen (NO$_2$-N) concentrations were within the range of 1-3 mg/L on most sampling days. TAN was removedin bead and sand filters and it was removed or produced in the sedimentation basin. Basically, NO$_2$-N was removed in the bead and sand filters while it was either removed or produced in the sedimentation basin. Nitrate nitrogen (NO$_3$-N) was produced in the bead filters and removed in the sand filter and sedimentation basin. Foam fractionator performed well in the recirculating system. The maximal daily removal values for total suspended solids (TSS) and protein were 10,9 g and 1.4 g, respectively. Whole water quality parameters were within the levels commonly recommendedfor fish culture on most of the sampling days. However, further studies are needed to evaluate the commercial feasibility of this system because of the small-scale system used in present experiment. At least, present study still provides some basic information for further studies of this kind of system.
