  • 최근 웹 서비스(Web Service)와 웹 프로세스(Web Process)는 이기종 시스템의 통합과 웹 애플리케이션 배포를 위한 대안으로 주목받고 있으며, 이에 따라 웹 서비스의 QoS(Quality of Services)의 중요성도 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스의 QoS 분석 방법을 제안하고, QoS 중심의 웹 서비스 조합 도구인 SimQom4W (Simulation-based QoS-aware Composer for Web Services)를 소개한다. SimQom4W는 첫째, 웹 서비스와 웹 프로세스의 구성을 시각으로 기술하고, 둘째, 웹 프로세스에 대한 테스트 코드와 시뮬레이션 코드를 자동 생성하여 실행시킴으로써 QoS를 분석한다. 셋째, 다양한 QoS 요구사항을 만족하는 최적의 웹 프로세스를 선택할 수 있도록 하며, 넷째, 웹 서비스의 QoS 분석 및 평가 데이터의 보고서를 생성하여 제공한다.

Design of a XML-Signcryption for XML Web Services Security (XML Web Services 보안을 위한 XML-Signcryption 설계)

  • Web Services가 차세대 e-Business를 주도할 것으로 많은 주목을 받으면서 XML(extensible Markup Language)을 기반으로 하여 폭넓게 성장해 가고 있다. 하지만 안전한 서비스의 측면에서 Web Services 는 폐쇄환경에서는 존재하지 않았던 새로운 보안 고려사항들을 부각시키고 있다. 이에 대한 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 XML을 기반으로 하는 Web Services의 특성에 맞추어, 플랫폼 독립적이며 언어 중립적인 특징을 유지한 XML-Signcryption을 제안하는데, 이것은 논리적으로 한번에 전자 서명과 암호화를 함께 수행하도록 하여 기존의 서명 후 암호화에서 요구되는 계산 비용보다 더 적은 비용을 가지고 있는 Zheng의 Signcryption 기법을 XML 보안에 응용한 것이다. 본 논문에서 처음으로 XML 구문 형식을 따라 XML-Signcryption이란 명칭으로 설계하여 제안하는 XML-Signcryption은 암호화와 전자서명을 따로 구현한 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)의 XML-Encryption이나 XML-Signature 스펙과 비교해, 전자서명과 암호화의 두 가지 보안 메커니즘을 위한 각각의 구현을 따로 할 필요 없이 한번에 할 수 있다는 면에서 개발자들에게 편리성을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 계산 비용 측면에서도 효율적인 장점을 제공한다.

Knowledge Preconditions for Composition of Semantic Web Services (시맨틱 웹서비스 조합을 위한 지식 전제조건)

  • Several researches have been proposed to formalize the knowledge preconditions problem - j.e., an action or a plan is epistemically feasible. However, since the feasibility is only checked at design-time and is assumed that it will also 1)e feasible at run-time, it is not suitable in the context of Semantic Web services composition, where many agents should share the limited resources required for the execution of Web services composition. Therefore, in this paper, we formalize a transactionally executable Web services composition which enables to guarantee its atomicity. Moreover, in order to formalize the transactional executability, we propose $TL-ALCFK_{NF}$ which extends TL-ALCF with the modal operators K and A. Based on $TL-ALCFK_{NF}$, we show how to carry out the epistemic reasoning with TL-ALCF as a language to represent Semantic Web services composition.

A Study on IoT information Generation Tool for User Defined Web Services (사용자 정의 웹 서비스를 위한 IoT 정보 자동생성 도구에 관한 연구)

  • Web services are standardized software technologies that enable interoperability of operating systems and programming languages through networks and related standards. Web services are distributed computing services that provide and discover services making it possible to access various services. Since the search method of web service considers only the functional aspect, it has a limitation on user-oriented search when selecting a service. In order to solve these problems, this study proposes an automatic IoT information generation tool, and provides IoT extension information when searching a web service, thereby improving the problem so that a suitable service can be selected for a user. Automatic IoT extension information generation tool proposed in this study collects and stores various information generated in the process of sensing, networking, and information processing by collaborating autonomously in a distributed environment of user, object, and service. The proposed method supports the service search suitable for the user by providing the information generated by the user as extended information when searching the web service. The proposed method can be applied to the 4th industry sector to provide a customized service that meets various environment requirements.

  • Test Case Prioritization (TCP) involves the rearrangement of test cases on a prioritized basis for various services. This research work focuses on TCP in web services, as it has been a growing challenge for researchers. Web services continuously evolve and hence require reforming and re-execution of test cases to ensure the accurate working of web services. This study aims to investigate gaps, issues, and existing solutions related to test case prioritization. This study examines research publications within popular selected databases. We perform a meticulous screening of research publications and selected 65 papers through which to answer the proposed research questions. The results show that criteria-based test case prioritization techniques are reported mainly in 41 primary studies. Test case prioritization models, frameworks, and related algorithms are also reported in primary studies. In addition, there are eight issues related to TCP techniques. Among these eight issues, optimization and high effectiveness are most discussed within primary studies. This systematic review has identified that a significant proportion of primary studies are not involved in the use of statistical methods in measuring or comparing the effectiveness of TCP techniques. However, a large number of primary studies use 'Average Percentage of Faults Detected' (APFD) or extended APFD metrics to compute the performance of techniques for web services.

  • Research records have become more important because of the increased significance of the preservation and use of such records. Therefore, many research institutions provide web-based research records archival information services. However, no evaluation of these research records services has been conducted, so problems arise that make discussing the current state of such services and their future improvement difficult. Therefore, this study evaluates web-based archival information services for research records and proposes ways to vitalize them. This study analyzes the characteristics of NTIS and NKIS, which are types of web-based archival information services for research records, and evaluates them using the same evaluation measures. Finally, this study recommends ways to improve web-based archival information services for research records.

  • The field of the web service orchestration introduced to generate a valuable service by reusing single services. Recently, it suggests rule-based searching and composition by the AI (Artificial Intelligence) instead of simple searching or orchestration based on the IOPE(Input, Output, Precondition, Effect) to implement the Semantic web as the web service of the next generation. It introduce a AOP programming paradigm from existing object-oriented programming paradigm for more efficient modularization of software. In this paper, we design a dynamic web service orchestration and invocation scheme applying Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) and Reflection for Semantic web. The proposed scheme makes use of the Reflection technique to gather dynamically meta data and generates byte code by AOP to compose dynamically web services. As well as, our scheme shows how to execute composed web services through dynamic proxy objects generated by the Reflection. For performance evaluation of the proposed scheme, we experiment on search performance of composed web services with respect to business logic layer and user view layer.

Dynamic Service Composition and Development Using Heterogeneous IoT Systems

  • IoT (Internet of Things) systems are based on heterogeneous hardware systems of different types of devices interconnected each other, ranging from miniaturized and low-power wireless sensor node to cloud servers. These IoT systems composed of heterogeneous hardware utilize data sets collected from a particular set of sensors or control designated actuators when needed using open APIs created through abstraction of devices' resources associated to service applications. However, previously existing IoT services have been usually developed based on vertical platforms, whose sharing and exchange of data is limited within each industry domain, for example, healthcare. Such problem is called 'data silo', and considered one of crucial issues to be solved for the success of establishing IoT ecosystems. Also, IoT services may need to dynamically organize their services according to the change of status of connected devices due to their mobility and dynamic network connectivity. We propose a way of dynamically composing IoT services under the concept of WoT (Web of Things) where heterogeneous devices across different industries are fully integrated into the Web. Our approach allows developers to create IoT services or mash them up in an efficient way using Web objects registered into multiple standardized horizontal IoT platforms where their resources are discoverable and accessible. A Web-based service composition tool is developed to evaluate the practical feasibility of our approach under real-world service development.

  • Web services are the new building block of today's Internet, and provides interoperability among heterogeneous distributed systems. Recently in web services environment, security has become one of the most critical issues. The hackers attack one of fragile point and can misuse legitimate user privilege because all of the connected devices provide services for the user control and monitoring in real time. Also, the users of web services must temporarily delegate some or all of their rights to agents in order to perform actions on their behalf. This fact risks the exposure of user privacy information. In this paper, we propose secure delegation model based on SAML that provides confidentiality and integrity about the user information in distributed systems. In order to support privacy protection, service confidentiality, and assertion integrity, encryption and a digital signature mechanism is deployed. We build web service management server based on XACML, in order to manage services and policies of web service providers.
